Sam Adams Spring seasonal is a "White Ale" which is basically a Boston version of Blue Moon Belgian Ale, pretty damn good, as far as that kind of beer goes, but Winter Lager puts it to shame.

from what i was told, islay scotch has some/more seaweed in the peat, changes the flavor a bit. i think talisker is the only islay single malt, but they do sell some of theirs to johnny walker and such for blends.

the night i came back from mouse's apt i got pulled over by Leon Valley PD... i had 2 SA winter lagers beneath a sports coat on the passenger side floor and 1 sierra nevada inida pale ale on the passenger seat... i hadnt drank em... they were laying in my car from the night before and i was showing my friend, who likes lonestar and budlight, what superior beer is. the cop saw the india pale ale and asked to see it... he didnt ask if i had been drinking ... which i had been... and he studied the label, made a "hmph" sound and told me to get my brake lights fixed before letting me go.... i swore i shit myself.

less than 24 hours after that i got pulled over by leon valley pd again... for the same brake light dealy. this time the officer saw a spoon next to my foot and asked if i had been cooking up meth or something... it was a plastic spoon... i nearly began laughing my ass off in front of him... but i kept my cool and saved my laughing of the ass off until he told me to fix my brake light and i was on my merry way.

i avoid leon valley all together now.... which is a pain in the ass... because that takes out the main chunk of bandera that i use.
