Joe, I've had that done three times... It's a simple procedure... first, they make you feel reeaaaallll nice with a drug cocktail. You're awake the whole time, but you feel great! The worst part is after, when they have to apply direct pressure for a good amount of time since there is a hole in your major artery. It's quick though... good thing they caught this early... Good luck my man!

P.S. - and you get to have someone shave your balls!

I'd better tell the wife to bring home some shaving lotion. Thanks for the heads up.

Saw the cardiologist today and found out that I have some blockage in my heart and legs so I have to have a procedure done to fix them. Damn that barbacoa!!
It'll be fine. My husband's grandmother had one about 12 years ago, at 68 or so. She's assistant director of her local senior center now. She calls it "helping the old people". :lol

I had to have my big right toe hacked off due to an infection and diabetes on September 1st. But I'm now in a boot cast and got rid of the crutches. I even mowed the lawn on Saturday.

Things are going well and thank you for asking. My kidneys are okay, they found no blockage around my heart so that went well. Type II diabetes is under control but I have gained the weight back that I lost. I'm back to 162lbs from 150 but once I start walking again I'll get back into shape. I did go though some anxiety for a few days and had to take some meds but I stopped taking those so everything is going well. :tu

Thats good to hear, my dad has type 2 as well and I always get worried when he gets cuts and scratches cause they dont heal up very fast. Good news about the other stuff. Yeah man my dad had a big belly before he was diagnosed with Diabetes, then really slimmed down. He started working out a lot and got into great shape but now he doesnt work out as much and is pretty thin. He doesnt do weights anymore after his slight heart attack around 5 or so years ago. I encourage him to walk more but he stopped since my mom hurt her back but she is pretty much recovered. Keep up the good work man.

My son brought a book home from the library this week called Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. Funniest damn kid's book I've ever read. Next time I head to the bookstore I'm gonna buy it to add to our personal collection.

Work is getting out of hand. I was supposed to be off at 4:30. I have been here since 9:30. It is now 5 and my relief is still not here.

My manager did not call my co-worker to find out where she was and why she was not here.
I called myself. (Way to manage your staff, manager. )

My co-worker was shocked she worked today- apparently schools don't teach kids how to read a schedule these days. :rolleyes

When I called my manager, who is on property, the situation my manager volunteered me to stay until my co-worker can come relieve me.

And it is not just that.

I still have yet to be rewarded a sales award that I earned in August. I let it go for a month as to not be pushy. I have since reminded my boss about it on three separate occasions. She always promises me results but produces none.

A more recent and cutting slight: I was not even given the chance to interview for a promotion because the opening was filled before any of us were made aware of the position having been created. There are two of us in my department ( myself and another girl) who dererved consideration but we were both overlooked.

This same girl and I were also not given raises, in spite of our excellent reviews. Corporate's call.
I understand the economy situation. But I feel like our local bosses should do what they can to at the very least verbally recognize our good work all the more so, since we are being denied raises everyone agrees we earned.

I know I do good work because my boss described me to our new office manager as
" the one who never messes up."
Whenever anyone has a question about how things need to be done in our department or an important project, they come to me.
All our major corporate customers request me.
This year is the first time I ever requested more than a day in row off, and it was for my wedding.

I know it is tough economic times and I am happy to have a job. But I am tired of being taken advantage of and not being appreciated.

i had a ham po'boy yesterday for lunch; we just talked about chicken fingers in here... haha.

but yeah i have a high metabolism. i eat 3 times and drink 2-3 shakes(600+ calories) per day. when i eat i am not shy about it either... i love food!
