Schumer just gave Bitch McC 12 Federal judegships for nothing in return. fuck Schumer.
Pelosi must be good within Congress to be elected party leader, but she, and in fact all DEMs, do fuck all to stop the Repugs. The neoliberal Dems are essentially moderate Repugs a few decades ago.

“Throughout his confirmation process, Judge Kavanaugh has had 65 meetings with senators—including with Senator Feinstein—sat through over 30 hours of testimony, addressed over 2,000 questions in a public setting and additional questions in a confidential session," White House spokesperson Kerri Kupec said in a statement. "Not until the eve of his confirmation has Sen. Feinstein or anyone raised the specter of new ‘information’ about him."

Sorry to burst your bubble, but he isn't under "investigation".
She submitted some stuff to investigators of stuff that is almost certainly beyond the statute of limitations.
Pure politics, but certainly doesn't look good for the nominee.
What is interesting, is that it shows more sloppy vetting on the part of the WH, which has been, um, poor, to put it mildly. A SCOTUS nominee with something like that lurking in his background is not something that should have happened.
.
So every politician, judge or anyone holding any public office in the US has these deep dark secrets that only come out when they run for a larger office?

This is for a SC Justice nominee. I'd say the process so far has been way too easy and rushed through while concealing most of his public documents. I would hope you would want a properly screened SC Justice?

The difference between Trump supporters and the other side is that most Trump supporters knew going in he was corrupt as fuck. They needed something specific taken care of. He's doing what he said, I think, for the most part. The other party wanted a 1st woman in office, "her turn". They really didn't have a platform, she was simply against Trump. Their agenda would be met with an election, same as Obama's was. After that, the hero worship and Nobel prizes mean low to no scrutiny for how they actually run their offices. The other side pretends to have moral superiority because their candidate has a career of hiding behind government privacy walls since her husband was the POTUS and she was also a high ranking official. Somehow because she says nicer shit she's not corrupt. The Clintons run circles around Donald Trump where corruption is concerned.

This is a train wreck for liberals. It shifts the debate about Kavanaugh away from his extreme ideology, the unprecedented secrecy around his past opinions, and the unprecedented softball vetting process by Republicans. It also damages women by illustrating an extreme example of well-past-expiration #MeToo accusations and giving fodder to those who think the whole movement is a sham. They've handed the narrative to Republicans on a golden plate.
It sounds like they were hesitant to release the information. They should have avoided it altogether.

The bigger issue is that it turns the whole confirmation process into an ugly circus. There may be that 5% of the cases that go before the Supreme Court that are related to issues that people freak out over. Most of it is boring drivel that the average person would care less about and that the judges approve at majority or near majority. But to turn this into partisan outrage and fake reports and smears makes the process ugly for anyone that gets nominated, regardless of the party nominating.
And even though the stuff is untrue, because people can't discern between truth and their politics, they will forever tag someone even if the tag is totally false.
And the Dems brought us to this when Harry Reid decided to change the rules to get their judges in without obstruction.

Actually, that is not a small thing - to attempt a rape of a victim and cover her mouth and turn up the music to conceal. The fact that it was long ago and that it was an unsuccessful attempt (in the rapists eyes) - does not mean that there was no crime.
This is a SC justice to be - this might not be dismissed that easily.

A Sexual-Misconduct Allegation Against the Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh
Stirs Tension Among Democrats in Congress
Feinstein’s decision to handle the matter in her own office,
without notifying other members of the Senate Judiciary Committee,
stirred concern among her Democratic colleagues.
For several days, Feinstein declined requests from other Democrats on the Judiciary Committee to share the woman’s letter and other relevant communications.
A source familiar with the committee’s activities said that Feinstein’s staff initially conveyed to other Democratic members’ offices that
the incident was too distant in the past to merit public discussion, and that Feinstein had “taken care of it.”
On Wednesday, after media inquiries to the Democratic members multiplied, and
concern among congressional colleagues increased,
Feinstein agreed to brief the other Democrats on the committee, with no staff present.

It does this time because the say so, anonymous means everything is legit, specially when it was 40 years ago and Kavanaugh has been around since 1990.
So NOW it seems the correct moment to scream all her ¨anonymous pain¨
Kavanaugh was a principal author of the Starr Report (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starr_Report) to Congress on the Monica Lewinsky (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monica_Lewinsky)–Bill Clinton (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Clinton) sex scandal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton%E2%80%93Lewinsky_scandal).[21] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Kavanaugh#cite_note-NYT4aug18-21) He urged Starr to ask the president sexually graphic questions and argued on broad grounds for the impeachment of Bill Clinton (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_of_Bill_Clinton),[26] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Kavanaugh#cite_note-26)[27] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Kavanaugh#cite_note-27) describing Clinton as being involved in "a conspiracy to obstruct justice", having "disgraced his office" and "lied to the American people".

I do not think it did.
No one is perfect but I do think if he raped her it is wrong.
I think it is terrible with sex crimes everyone automatically thinks he did it.
In America you are innoncent until proven guilty.
Again why did they hold on to the letter since July.
Should have taken to the fbi then if they wanted justice not this late into getting confirmation.
She would not even sent it the fbi if he was not going to be on the Supreme Court.
Why if he is guilty should not matter. Makes common sense people it is just a scam

Kavanaugh has one big thing in common with Trump—extremely murky personal finances (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/9/14/1795743/-Kavanaugh-has-one-big-thing-in-common-with-Trump-extremely-murky-personal-finances)
https://images.dailykos.com/images/586120/story_image/GettyImages-1027015268.jpg?1536355101
Brett Kavanaugh's written explanations to senators about his personal finances and that $200,000 credit card debt contradict the White House's implausible explanation (https://www.yahoo.com/news/kavanaugh-contradicts-white-house-account-credit-card-debt-leaving-questions-234449883.html) that it was all about baseball. They also leave the big question hanging: just how did he pay all that debt off last year.
The financial disclosure forms provided by Kavanaugh showed that for the 12 years before his nomination,
he had tens of thousands of dollars in fluctuating credit card balances as well as a large loan against his retirement account,
debt that magically disappeared in 2017.
Nothing in the disclosures or in Kavanaugh's answers to Democratic senators' questions about those disclosures reveals
where he got the money to clear his debt.
But they do contradict the White Houses' baseball ticket story.
The White House said he was buying season tickets for a group of friends, and that's where the debt came from.
Kavanaugh, however, wrote that "Everyone in the group paid me for their tickets based on the cost of the tickets, to the dollar.
No one overpaid or underpaid me for tickets. No loans were given in either direction."
So if he was being repaid by these friends (who he still hasn't named despite being asked to), where was the debt coming from?
Probably from Kavanaugh's living beyond his means
and "trying to juggle living on a judge's salary and
bearing the expenses associated with climbing the ranks of Washington society,
including membership in a ritzy country club," as this Yahoo analysis says.
The debt was carried over for 12 years,
which everyone who has high credit card balances understands—paying them off with the amount of interest they accrue is challenging, particularly when living in an expensive city like D.C.
So how all of a sudden did it disappear in 2017?
We don't know because Kavanaugh doesn't explain and
the information he does provide "contains an unexplained three-year gap."

Here's all one really needs to know about Kavanaugh accuser, Christine Ford-Blasey...
The timing is transparent: the week prior to Brett Kavanaugh committee vote; the outlet is transparent: the intelligence ‘resistance’ apparatus, The Washington Post; the accuser is transparent: a far-left California liberal professor, Christine Ford Blasey, anti-Trump ‘resistance activist’ with an anti-policy background, including recently. The accusation is transparent: 35-year-old harassment claim/accusation, from high school intended to activate the “Me Too” activists. The motive is transparent: block the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Kavanaugh.
Pretty much sums up the weaponization of an impotent movement (i.e., the Democratic Party) driven into fighting a guerrilla ideology war because their ideas can't prevail on the battlefield of ideas. If they did, if their ideology wasn't entirely bankrupt, this wouldn't be happening. They would be advancing their ideology, and proudly so. But they are vacant intellectually and morally, so they are reduced to lobbing 'grievance bombs' at decent people they hate. 'Virtue Signaling' at its finest

Let's take a close look at the allegations by Professor Ford. She claims that when she was a teenager, she was in a bedroom with two teenage boys at a party. Hard to believe she didn't have sex already on her mind. And a drink in her hand.
She alleges the one of the boys, Brett Kavanaugh, climbed on top of her. And the other boy, Mark Judge, pulled him off of her.
Now here's the part that's easy to figure out. Kavanaugh denied it. No surprise. But Mark Judge also denied it. Since he is the rescuer in this scenario, why would he deny it?

Did her parents know she was going to a party at an unknown address, of unknown ownership? THIS again is another Anita Hill ambush...... This is why character matters, far too many people that have known Brett Kavanaugh for decades say this is just not any type of behavior ever witnessed. I wonder if this woman's past and present relationships would say the same for her. Sounds more like she doesn't even know how any people were at this supposed party.... and one has to question, if she was in fear for her life and they or he was attacking her.... why didn't anyone go after her once she supposedly escaped this horrific life changing event.

Only someone with half a brain would believe her story. You seem like you fit the bill or you must be a blind raving democrat who cares nothing about destroying a good man’s reputation. The rest of us use our brains and common sense. Think about it:
1) no one remembers crap from 30 years ago
2) if it affected you that badly you would have talked about it at least to your parents and the other friend who was there. The fact that you couldn’t remember whether there were 4 or 2 means it’s not something that was on your mind
3) they were not from the same school - sounds suspect already
4) anyone can say anyone did anything to them. She only mentioned Kavanaugh in this letter when it looked like he would be confirmed
5) she is a fat left activist who is totally opposed to conservative ideology- so she lard gay has an agenda
6) the timing is highly suspect again - just before the confirmation
7) she deliberately mentions one of the judges old classmates to give legitimacy to her story; he’s like this woman is nuts
8) women have lied throughout history and falsely accused men; think of Joseph and Potiphars wife
9) the only agenda here is to get the senate to delay the vote in hopes of the slim chance that Democrats win the midterms and then they can derail the nomination.
10) the fbi is already not willing to investigate though they knew who the author of the letter was
I could possibly find 10 more holes in the whole story... just using common sense here... instead of blind hatred which you seem to have...

“What is puzzling to me is the Democrats, by not bringing this out earlier, after having had this information for more than six weeks, have managed to cast a cloud of doubt on both the professor and the judge,” the Maine Republican told The New York Times.
Collins argued that delaying the news about the allegation is not "fair" to either Kavanaugh or his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, 51, who alleges the federal judge sexually assaulted her in the early 1980s when they were both teenagers at a party

We need to know exactly what people are willing to do for political purposes. Both sides are willing to ruin people’s lives for timing advantages, history has shown us this. Brett Kavanaugh's chief character witness thinks 'uncontrollable male passion' is 'awesome' (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/9/17/1796382/-Brett-Kavanaugh-s-chief-character-witness-thinks-uncontrollable-male-passion-is-awesome)
Mark Judge, the man who Christine Blasey Ford says was in the room when Brett Kavanaugh pinned her down, ...
first responded (https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/a-sexual-misconduct-allegation-against-the-supreme-court-nominee-brett-kavanaugh-stirs-tension-among-democrats-in-congress) to the allegations by saying “I have no recollection of that,” a classic evasion if there ever was one.
Back in high school, Judge was
the kind of guy whose yearbook quote (https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/alleged-accomplice-in-kavanaugh-assault-used-yearbook-quote-about-violence-against-women) was about hitting women.
Not hitting on them. Hitting them.
Judge has also written a memoir about his heavy drinking in high school (https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/09/brett-kavanaugh-mark-judge-high-school-drunk-allegation-alcohol/),
heavy drinking being completely consistent with Ford’s memory of Kavanaugh’s assault on her.
In fact, his memoir makes clear that he was a blackout drunk, so
“Mark Judge doesn’t remember something that someone says happened while he was drunk” is not much of a defense.
[his brother]:
"that’s the real problem—not alcoholism or a lousy childhood or an abusive father.
Mark is a solipsist: spoiled as a child, gazing always inward, unable to recognize any pain but his own.
He’s written (https://twitter.com/rgoodlaw/status/1041402259240833024) about how, while no means no,
there’s also an “ambiguous middle ground” in which,
if a man “is any kind of man,
he’ll allow himself to feel the awesome power,
the wonderful beauty,
of uncontrollable male passion.” :lol

It was a pic of him simulating a boob grab - not even grabbing them. There were other women who claimed he groped too. Trump has 20 women saying much much worse and nothing happens.
This K perv actually sexually assaulted the woman. Held her down, turned up the music, covered her mouth when she tried calling for help. He already went to the white house to get professional advice from the rapist in chief on how to flatly deny reality. Deny truth. Deny a crime is not really a crime.

Al Franken was forced to resign for far far less. Different rules for different parties.
Franken's was confirmed with photographic evidence in some cases and more than one accuser, but I'd agree that he was a victim of the "cause." Kavanaugh has a mere allegation that is lodged with little evidence and is he said/she said. Obviously, we have to wait for all the facts to come out before we know for sure, but for what we have now, this case looks like a hit job by democrats to stop a nomination that was certain to happen.
If it comes down to a he said/she said, then how can you give more credence to the accuser just because she is accusing.

We all suspect that Trump is a womanizer at least and who knows if he has done unwanted groping, but it wouldn't surprise anyone. The problem is that the American public knew that going in and still voted for him. Apparently, we have a lower standard for a president than the Supreme Court.
But to say K sexually assaulted a woman with no proof other than an allegation is nonsense. You have no reason to base your conclusion other than pure political bias. A person should be innocent until proven guilty and should have his day in hearing and hear his side before you make a conclusion. At least if you are being honest.
You have a picture of Franken air grabbing some tits. You have nothing else. :lol
You have more evidence against Franken then anyone has against Kavanaugh. But that said, I think Franken got a raw deal. Even with multiple accusers and even if the allegations were true, I still think they should have at least let him run for the next term and let the people decide if the accusations were a reason for him to lose his job.

GTFO.
Trump has sexually assaulted over 15 women and raped a child (13 yo) whom he then threatened to have her family killed if her family didn't take the money he gave them and stfu. Trumps ex accused him officially of rape - and he also paid her off to remove that document from the record.
We don't know that the American people voted for trump because officially he got 3 million less votes - plus help from the Russians.
This victim has a therapist and a husband that corroborates she was going through issues for years. She has passed a lie detector test given by an FBI agent and documented. K idiot friend bragged about him and K drinking regularly until they blacked out and didn't know what happened afterwards. This idiot then says that this incident didn't happen!
K also perjured himself several times while testifying under oath to congress on two different occasions (at least).
Republicans only released 7% out of 100% of K documents for a proper vetting. You think it might be too fucking much to ask that they at least pick a qualified candidate and vet him properly without rushing a questionable candidate through while simultaneously refusing to even hold an interview or a hearing for Merrick Garland?

Sorry, but you are lost in partisan bias. First, K's name was not mentioned in the therapist notes and there is a discrepancy between those notes and the story being told. Second, a lie detector test is not competent evidence as it can be manipulated and it also depends on the way questions are asked. Third, drinking doesn't mean someone is a rapist. Fourth, he didn't commit rape and is not alleged to have committed rape. Fifth, in the law, this amounts to nothing more than a he said/she said and would never be prosecuted because there is no way to get beyond a reasonable doubt.
As to your Trump stories, I put nothing past the guy, but most of what you write sounds like it came straight out of a liberal conspiracy site not unlike the ones that popped up about Obama being born in Kenya. I would suggest you steer clear of those allegations in any credible argument because you won't be taken and should not be taken serious.

You are right that standards of proof do not apply, but I think you need to hear both sides because just because she may seem credible does not mean that Kavanaugh wouldn't seem credible either. If it's a draw, how can you deny someone a job on an allegation that has no proof other than he said/she said. I mean, maybe in today's world you can, but if that is the case, then it is a sad day when the mere allegation with no proof is enough to get anyone fired. I would agree that the Me Too moment has its reasons, but based on what I have heard so far, these would be an example of overreaching.

I heard Kavanaugh and his accuser will both be heard by the Judiciary Committee. We'll see.

I agree that it will be the case and I think there needs to be a hearing. I'm just saying that it sets a dangerous precedence that the mere allegation with really no evidence to support the allegation can deny a person a job. I mean, if there were evidence that he did it to other women or some other type of evidence, then maybe. But solely based on what we have now, that is a dangerous precedence if you are a man because false accusations by women happen often.
