I was concerned initially about Charlie Strong's lack of communication skills. Now I wonder about coaching skills - especially selecting assistants. The complete mismanagement of the offensive system is such an abortion.

He better start getting quality high school players on campus now (2016) and in the future. I hope they can develop players. Right now I'm not seeing it.

BTW - fire the special teams coach and the kicker today. Nick Rose is a freakin fruit loop with no talent other than kicking the ball out of the end zone. Please put a walk on at kicker. This Rose is a mental midget and not worth the scholarship Brown gave him.

the sad part is, we just refuse to make plays. Malik dropped an interception, I mean it hit him right in the hands. Our LS hikes the ball 10 ft above our crappy punter's head, leading to a safety. our LS couldn't fall on a loose ball correctly, allowing TCU to recover their fumble. Bonney was looking at the clouds instead of the ball, otherwise, he would have been in great position for a pick 6 opportunity. Rose missed 2 FGs. 3 of the first 4 TDs, their WRs were wide open.....but, had we taken care of the turnovers, none of those possessions would have continued and the game would have been a game.

We had a very good opening possession defensively. However, the minute Daje got laid out, it seemed like the team curled up into the fetal position and peed themselves.

Cherry couldn't make it past the 1st week of practice. Boyd has a lot of talent, but if he was responsible for that tweet then he doesn't have the balls to turn this around.

They can be shitty and still compete. They aren't competing at all and this has gone on for 2 seasons now. Part of coaching is teaching kids how to handle adversity, and teaching them to progress. They aren't progressing, they are making the same mistakes every game, and they are quitting.

It is very tough to say things like he should get 3 years when there hasn't been any noticeable improvement in a year and a half. Strong was told when he started that he needed an elite staff that knew Texas and could recruit it, yet he didn't Fucking listen. Then tried to come to a spread offense school and install a pro offense. Made wrong hire after hire. Fucked his relationships with Texas HS coaches because he refused to play politics.

Even with all that being said, he still deserves a third year to see what his players can do as juniors. And I would say that those sophomores aren't even his. They're Mack's class that Charlie held together with string. His first class was last years. They're special. Anyone can see it. They don't normally gear up recruiting until November, so if the class doesn't come together after then I'll eat some crow.

there's no way anyone anywhere could have predicted Texas to be in free falling panic mode at this point.

I still wonder what the mindset would be if the horns had somehow pulled out the Ws vs OkieSt and Cal. That means they'd be 3-2 with losses against two top 10 teams and wins against two top 25 teams.

Part of the reason Gray is playing is pass protection as our offensive line is like a sieve. What I am thinking. It's clear Gray is just not capable anymore, especially when the defense is not getting pushed backwards on running plays. He can make one move and it's over. Further, he appears incapable of shedding defenders, Foreman is capable. And running through for an extra yard for a first down seems very difficult for Gray.

Look, I love Heard, but right now he is a terrible passer. I don't care one bit, because Vince Young was worse when he was at this stage of his career. People forget how bad Vince was in 2003, and how he had to be bailed out by Chance Mock against Texas Tech.

Vince was just as bad in 2004, only we had to add to that the fact that we also didn't have any WRs worth a damn.

In truth it took Vince 3 years to finally learn how to pass on the college level, and if he were smart, he'd have stayed for his last year and tried to develop as a passer a bit more before going to the NFL. I think he might have had a better pro career.

People should never compare Heard to Vince as a runner, but as a passer there is some comparison that can be made. Heard needs time to develop, if he can develop you can bet this will be a much better offense.

The foundation of the offense isn't just heard, you have Armani Foreman and John Burt at WR. You have D'onta Foreman and Chris Warren at RB and you have Conner Williams and Patrick Vahe on the oline. All these guys will be here two to three more years in the program.

The defense has Malik Jefferson, Holton Hill, Davante Davis, and maybe Chris Boyd (if he can put his cell phone down) they can build around.
