The update makes it sound like he wants out of Florida. I know he has been transferring back and forth between schools in Miami, so maybe his mother wants some stability away from some possible distractions? The paragraph right before the quote says "As you can see, Salomon did not include any in-state programs. He is adamant about using his talents to see another part of the country and play major college football away from home.". That's about it when it comes to actual info in the update.

TE Jack Stoll of Aurora, CO talks about his visit to UT (OrangeBloods):

"We got there a few hours early, got to talk to the coaches, sit in on the tight end meetings. Then we got to go to the spring game," Stoll said. "Overall, it was really an awesome day."

"I'd say overall, I was very impressed. I got to see coach (Jeff) Traylor during his position meetings, not just in recruiting. I really like his style. I got to meet coach (Charlie) Strong in person, have a pretty solid 10-minute conversation. Overall, everything was great. The coaches were phenomenal, and I really liked the atmosphere around there. There's not a bad thing to say about Texas. I really loved it."

"They might have even grown more. Meeting the coaches in person, they're even better people than they were over the phone," Stoll said. "The way they conduct their business, it was really awesome to see. Everything I have to say about Texas that was good, I could really repeat again. It was a great day."

"As far as a time for me, I think I'll definitely be committed sometime before my football season. That's about the only timeline I can give right now," Stoll said. "It will probably happen sometime this summer. But again, I want to feel comfortable with a school, have a good feel before I commit. It will probably be this summer, so I don't have to go through the whole process and don't have to worry during my senior season."

Strong said we are better right now compared to the team who played the last game of the season.
I will take this as a good thing.

Also interesting was how thin he said we were on D right now, and how the Oline is better ( could they be worse...)
Very noncommittal on the QB situation giving Swoopes some excuses including how bad we blocked last year and his inexperience. Also Strong said he was very shaky about starting a redshirt freshman in South Bend after his experience with Swoopes.

We all remember RB Nicholas Brossette out of University Lab in New Orleans, the guy who allegedly was close to flipping to Texas. His mother have cancer, so his big brother has been the only income for the family. On Sunday Brossettes brother died, I don't know how or if he was ill, which means that the family has no income whatsoever. The NCAA has allowed LSU to set up a Fund to raise money to cover living expenses. That's the single good thing I can remember the NCAA doing.

Last night, it was reported that Mineola offensive linemen Austin and Riley Anderson were close to committing to Texas A&M. Both made visits on Monday and while they are sincerely interested in the Aggies, it would be surprising to see them commit to any school this week. According to multiple sources, the Andersons still want to wait, especially since Texas, a school they visited twice this spring and have extremely high interest in, just offered. Another source said Austin wants to commit to Texas while Riley wants to commit to Texas A&M. Brian Perroni told me he heard this as well. It should be noted that Austin told Horns247 at Texas Relays that he wanted to play with his brother, but they weren’t necessarily a package deal. The two might very well commit to Texas or Texas A&M or they might go their separate ways. Right now, it’s still up in the air, but it does appear to be down to the Aggies and Longhorns.

“My first time meeting Coach Wickline was at the spring game,” Bruffy said. “He said he liked my film and my frame and that he would be in touch. He definitely has a good personality, and I know he produces great linemen.”

“I love the program,” Bruffy said. “I grew up a Texas fan and loved watching Vince Young and Colt McCoy’s teams. My mom is an Aggie, but I always grew up watching Texas. I’m really interested. They have a strong business school, and it would be an honor to further my education and play football there.”

Rangers #4, Boston #7, Cubs #9, Philly #10, Yankees #16. Plenty of big market teams drafting early so I doubt that is the reasoning. I honestly believe he wants to go to ATM and play both sports. Then again, it sports and $, so the who hell really knows..
