I'd be for children going back to school if that were the case.

I'm against it. I think it's a big mistake.

300 kids died total. I am correct. Kids are fine.

Yes I have heard of more kids in hospital. Thats expected as last year they stayed home. They are still fine. I hope I am correct for the childrens sake and you should too.

It should be treated as good news the low mortality on kids (so far) a logical mind would also weight risk vs benefit. The benefit of kids going to school far outwheighs the .05% death risk. Imo

Vaxxed or unvaxxed, I think people have unclenched for the most part. Gonna be a rough winter.

This virus isn't seasonal. It's going to be a rough whenever the hell a next variant with such heightened transmissibility like Delta gets here / starts here and flourishes.

and in spring 2020, the virus had not spread everywhere, esp not into the boondocks

Because mother fucker Biden told 'em too unclench as 4th of July holiday hit..."we're opening up and we're not going back." then the echo..."we're opening up and we're not going back."

- first Santis a year prior.
- second cocksucker Biden a year later.

Why Santis, then why finally mother fucker Biden?

Simple, both were told early on in their world that... "Americans are going to die, there is nothing you can do to stop it. Nothing will touch it. We'll have to herd it out like a 100 years ago."

Hoping delta scared the shit out of a lot of people into getting vaccinated so we don't have a repeat of last year's holiday season. When I went to get a flu shot a few weeks ago there were like 4 people at HEB there getting COVID vaccinations in the 10 minutes I was there and when I got my COVID booster today there were a boatload of people.

Both times I went to HEB for Pfizer back in April, I was the only person there. Maybe because it was by appointment.

EDIT: Wait, you got a fucking 3rd shot? :lmao

So people will stop guessing, it's heart problems. One side of my family has a lot of early deaths from heart attacks. My grandmother died at 53 despite being skinny and outwardly looking like she was in her late 30s or early 40s (as Japanese women tend to). Uncle was pretty athletic and died at 51. I'm 6'2" 180 and have to take some heavy duty blood pressure meds because of my genetics, can't control the family I'm descended from.

We still don’t have rapid testing and contact tracing scaled to need, nor has the Biden Administration adapted to the reality of airborne transmission with appropriate guidance for masking, ventilation and air filtration for workplaces, schools and public buildings.

The vaccine rollout ought to have been way more aggressive in extent and regulation. Government mandates are badly overdue and that includes states: governors and localities have dropped the ball too.

I know you're skeptical, Darrin, so I'll walk you throught it slowly.

My stepfather isn't related to me by blood, but he raised me and I consider him my father. Likewise, he considers me his son.

I've been with my wife about thirty years. i helped raise her son. His children consider me their grandfather and so do their mom and dad. So does my wife.

I accept this role, and participate in their lives as such. In every relevant respect but blood, I am their grandfather, even though i have no blood descendants.

Likewise, coming from a 1970s-style complicated family with multiple marriages on both sides, I have a sizeable number of step-brothers and sisters who consider me their brother. We all consider and each other brothers and sisters even though some of us are not blood related and many of us did not grow up together. I cared about them when they were children and I still care about them.

But even if this were not the case, and I were a man without utterly without a family of my own, it would still be possible for me take consideration of and care about children and what happens to them. Having children all by itself confers no honor or empathy, I'm sure you've met people for whom this is the case, we all have.

We absolutely need kids in school.
This is why Thanksgiving and X-mass will be so important.
We do NOT need another big uptick to fck with the entire society and overcrowd hospitals putting people with other than Covid at risk of not getting cared for. The promise of a fixed health care system was abandoned by the red team long ago.
This is why you see States starting to mandate vaccines. Its catching on in the blue regions.

I'm not arguing kids shouldn't be in school, just that everything in our power should be done to keep them safe. We haven't done that, and as a result, kids are getting sick/hospitalized/dying at a higher rate in the last 2-3 months than at any time during the pandemic.

This was avoidable and in principle it still is.

RG thinks the Texas deaths should be doubled. I guess he believes all these Democrat mayors are downplaying covid deaths?

Texas definitely undercounts, compared to NY. Actually ran the numbers and it was 30%. Even without red states fudging their numbers, they can't hide the fatality counts.

Haven't checked that link recently have you? :lol

Top two states definitely have something in common, and it isn't Governor Cuomo's shitty decisions.

One year later the top ten are dominated by states with Republican governors. Add in Texas' undercount, and it would be right there crowding out Mass. :lol

New Jersey (D)
