No.
Your turn.
Would you give your kid a vaccine when the maker of the vaccine admits long term safety isn't known at this time?
yes, if it's gone through clinical trials and the FDA is giving the go-ahead
the FDA is notoriously slow when it comes to approving drugs/treatments. people always complain that we have too much red tape here and europe or wherever gets better drugs faster. if the FDA has given the thumbs up, that's probably good enough for me. for an example of their good track record... look at how the FDA refused to authorize thalidomide which ended up causing a lot of problems elsewhere
now, my kid is less than 4 months old, and not within the age range that is being talked about.

In addition, as shown below, a growing body of evidence suggests that COVID-19 vaccines also reduce asymptomatic infection and transmission. Substantial reductions in SARS-CoV-2 infections (both symptomatic and asymptomatic) will reduce overall levels of disease, and therefore, SARS-CoV-2 virus transmission in the United States. Investigations are ongoing to further assess the risk of transmission from fully vaccinated persons with SARS-CoV-2 infections to other vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Early evidence suggests infections in fully vaccinated persons caused by the Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 may be transmissible to others; however, SARS-CoV-2 transmission between unvaccinated persons is the primary cause of continued spread (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/fully-vaccinated-people.html#infections-fully-vaccinated).

kids can catch covid and spread it to other people. do you know how herd immunity works?
At what rate though?
One of the largest studies1 on COVID-19 in schools in the United States looked at more than 90,000 pupils and teachers in North Carolina over 9 weeks last autumn. Given the rate of transmission in the community, “we would have expected to see about 900 cases” in the schools, says Daniel Benjamin, a paediatrician at Duke Clinical Research Institute in Durham, North Carolina, and co-lead author on the study. But when the researchers conducted contact tracing to identify school-related transmissions, they identified only 32 cases (see ‘Meagre spread’).
That study, published in January, “should have been a watershed event for people who were really going to just be data driven with their policy”, says Jeanne Noble, an emergency physician who directs the COVID-19 response at the University of California, San Francisco’s medical centre. Yet many schools remained closed. Since then, “it’s just been a slew of other similar studies”, Noble says.
Another study2 looked at 17 schools in rural Wisconsin. The research team observed 191 COVID-19 cases in staff and students during 13 weeks in the autumn of 2020, a time of high transmission for that area. Only seven of those cases seemed to originate in the schools. A second study, not yet published, looked at Nebraska. “They were open the whole year with over 20,000 students and staff, and there were only 2 transmission events during that entire study period,” Høeg says.
Critics argue that without surveillance testing, kids who don’t have symptoms won’t be identified or counted, so the true number could be much higher. But even if the real case numbers were double or even triple the numbers in these studies, the transmission rate would have been much lower than in the community, Benjamin says. “It’s safer for them to be in school than to be outside of school.”
Studies that have included testing tend to show similarly low transmission rates. Researchers in Norway3 identified 13 confirmed cases in children aged 5–13 in schools, and tested nearly 300 of their close contacts to assess the secondary attack rate — the percentage of contacts who become infected from a single case. Just 0.9% of the child contacts and 1.7% of the adult contacts contracted the virus.
In Salt Lake City4, researchers went one step further. They offered COVID-19 tests to more than 1,000 students and staff who had come into contact with any of 51 pupils who had tested positive. Of the roughly 700 people who took the tests, just 12 tested positive. The scientists then used contact tracing and genetic sequencing to identify transmissions that occurred at school. Only 5 of the 12 were school-related — an attack rate of just 0.7%. This suggests that students who contract the virus don’t tend to spread it at school. A similar study5 in New York City found that the attack rate was even lower, just 0.5%.

Excessive drinking during pandemic leads to dramatic spike in liver transplants, study says
The national list for people seeking liver transplants skyrocketed during the coronavirus pandemic, shooting up 50% higher than predicted before COVID-19 affected the country.
A study released Tuesday by University of Michigan researchers – published in JAMA Network Open – revealed a positive correlation between the increase in the number of people on a waiting list for a liver and the increase in retail sales of alcohol during the pandemic timeframe.
People seeking liver transplants experience alcoholic hepatitis – when the liver stops processing alcohol and instead creates toxic chemicals that trigger inflammation and kill off healthy liver cells needed to survive.
In the new study, researchers compared the exact number of new people put on the U.S. organ transplant list from March 2020 to January 2021 with the projected numbers that were based on pre-pandemic data. Researchers next correlated national monthly retail alcohol sales records between January 2016 and 2021.

In 2024, state elections will be nullified if the Republican nominee for president loses.
1453926362637643778
Nullification, in United States constitutional history, is a legal theory that a state has the right to nullify, or invalidate, any federal laws which that state has deemed unconstitutional with respect to the United States Constitution (as opposed to the state's own constitution). The theory of nullification has never been legally upheld by federal courts.
The theory of nullification is based on a view that the states formed the Union by an agreement (or "compact") among the states, and that as creators of the federal government, the states have the final authority to determine the limits of the power of that government. Under this, the compact theory, the states and not the federal courts are the ultimate interpreters of the extent of the federal government's power. Under this theory, the states therefore may reject, or nullify, federal laws that the states believe are beyond the federal government's constitutional powers. The related idea of interposition is a theory that a state has the right and the duty to "interpose" itself when the federal government enacts laws that the state believes to be unconstitutional. Thomas Jefferson and James Madison set forth the theories of nullification and interposition in the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions in 1798.
Courts at the state and federal level, including the U.S. Supreme Court, repeatedly have rejected the theory of nullification. The courts have decided that under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, federal law is superior to state law, and that under Article III of the Constitution, the federal judiciary has the final power to interpret the Constitution. Therefore, the power to make final decisions about the constitutionality of federal laws lies with the federal courts, not the states, and the states do not have the power to nullify federal laws.
[1] "[S]tates throughout U.S. history have attempted to use variations of the nullification doctrine to invalidate national law. "effective" nullification will be when Repug hacks, and Repug Secy of State, running the election
declare the election that elected a Dem candidate by a small margin is fraudulent,
choose a new set of electors "faithful" to the Repug candidate.
All perfectly legal.

Foreign citizens seek US-approved shots as travel resumes
BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — As COVID-19 ravaged Hungary in April, Budapest resident Akos Sipos received his second vaccine dose, believing he was doing the right thing for his own health and to help end the pandemic.
But Sipos, 46, soon discovered that the vaccine he received, Russia’s Sputnik V, disqualified him from traveling to a number of other countries where it hadn’t been approved. The nations include the United States, which is pushing forward with a new air travel policy that will make Sipos and many like him ineligible to enter.
“I thought it’s better to get Sputnik today than a Western vaccine at some uncertain future time,” Sipos, who works as a search engine optimization specialist, said of his initial decision to receive the jab. “But I couldn’t have known at that time that I wouldn’t be able to travel with Sputnik.”
Starting Monday, the United States plans to reopen to foreign travelers who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. But there’s a catch: non-immigrant adults need to have received vaccines authorized by the Food and Drug Administration or which received an emergency use listing from the World Health Organization.
That leaves many hopeful travelers across the globe who have taken full courses of vaccines widely used in other parts of the world — Sputnik V and the China-produced CanSino jab, in particular — scrambling to get reinoculated with shots approved by U.S. authorities.
Two other Chinese vaccines, Sinopharm and Sinovac, have been approved by the WHO and will thus be accepted for travel into the U.S.
Mexico received nearly 12 million doses of CanSino and almost 20 million of Sputnik V after shipments began earlier this year. Residents who got the required two shots of those vaccines now are looking to top up with shots of the Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson vaccines, hoping that will make them eligible to cross the border.
“They screwed those of us who got this vaccine,” said Rosenda Ruiz, 52, a public relations manager in Mexico City who received Sputnik V. “There are lots of Mexicans who want to travel, but we can’t. I am thinking of getting whatever other vaccine I can get.”

Gavin Newsom took his booster shot 11 days ago. He has since canceled all of his scheduled appearances and has not been seen in public since then.
— Jordan Schachtel @ dossier.substack.com (@JordanSchachtel) November 7, 2021
A source close to California Gov. Gavin Newsom today told The Defender the governor experienced an adverse reaction to the Moderna COVID vaccine he received Oct. 27.
The source, who asked not to be identified, said Newsom’s symptoms were similar to those associated with Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS), a known side effect of many vaccines.
GBS is a neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system — the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord — and can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to paralysis to leaving the person unable to breathe independently.
The governor has not been seen in public since he was photographed Oct. 27 getting his COVID booster.

He has written a ton of books, seems like a nice guy, and is getting a ton of youtube hits.
While he suggests that invermectin works and is so much cheaper, he is making $, and lots of it.
His books are now proudly displayed at the top of google. Dr. John Campell.
There is lots more in this video that is so deceptive and actually he himself presents the case why invermectin could actually be dangerous in vivo.
You will note all of his evidence are from papers in vitro, which basically say one thing about invermectin, which he conveniently does not ever state.
The clinical trials are not there yet, except for the huge write by an Egyptian group that basically played with the data and therefore got this "promising drug" shot down immediately. Clinical trials still ongoing because such a huge deal was made about this drug. Waste of money imo. And the good doctor actually explains why without knowing it.

Moderna and U.S. at Odds Over Vaccine Patent Rights
Moderna’s patent application names several employees as the sole inventors of a crucial component of its coronavirus vaccine, excluding three government scientists.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/09/us/moderna-vaccine-patent.html?smid=tw-share
Moderna and the National Institutes of Health are in a bitter dispute over who deserves credit for inventing the central component of the company's powerful coronavirus vaccine, a conflict that has broad implications for the vaccine's long-term distribution and billions of dollars in future profits.
The vaccine grew out of a four-year collaboration between Moderna and the N.I.H., the government's biomedical research agency a partnership that was widely hailed when the shot was found to be highly effective. A year ago this month, the government called it the "N.I.H.-Moderna Covid-19 vaccine."
The agency says three scientists at its Vaccine Research Center Dr. John R. Mascola, the center's director; Dr. Barney S. Graham, who recently retired; and Dr. Kizzmekia S. Corbett, who is now at Harvard worked with Moderna scientists to design the genetic sequence that prompts the vaccine to produce an immune response, and should be named on the "principal patent application."
Moderna disagrees. In a July filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the company said it had "reached the good-faith determination that these individuals did not co-invent" the component in question. Its application for the patent, which has not yet been issued, names several of its own employees as the sole inventors.

“The FDA’s promise of transparency is, to put it mildly, a pile of illusions,” Aaron Siri, whose firm is representing PHMPT in the lawsuit, wrote in a blog post on Nov. 17.
“It took the FDA precisely 108 days from when Pfizer started producing the records for licensure to when the FDA licensed the Pfizer vaccine,” Siri continued. “Taking the FDA at its word, it conducted an intense, robust, thorough, and complete review and analysis of those documents in order to assure that the Pfizer vaccine was safe and effective for licensure. While it can conduct that intense review of Pfizer’s documents in 108 days, it now asks for over 20,000 days to make these documents available to the public.”
The FDA did not respond to a request for comment.

Broad 329,000-Page Document Request Led to FDA's 2076 'Scheduling Dispute'
While one group of physicians has complained that the FDA is slow-walking the release of vaccine-approval documents, Snopes.com points out you can also see this story from a different perspective (https://www.snopes.com/news/2021/11/19/fda-2076-vaccine-data/):
A scheduling dispute related to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for more than than 329,000 pages of COVID-19 vaccine data led to misleading social media posts in November 2021. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) proposed a schedule to process and release 500 pages every month, arguing that this is the standard rate to process FOIA requests as "reviewing and redacting records for exempt information is a time-consuming process." The FDA would start releasing this data immediately, but the full set of pages would not be processed until 2076. The FDA argued that the amount of time required to fulfill this request is due to the broad FOIA request that involves hundreds of thousands of pages.
Snopes emphasizes that the FDA "did not request a delay in the release of its COVID-19 data until 2076," and notes they were responding to a request for the 329,000 pages in just 108 days with a very small number of qualified respondents
"Courts do not waiver from the standard 500 page per month processing rate even when a FOIA request would take years to process..." [reads the FDA's response]. "FDA has invited Plaintiff to narrow its request by specifying records it no longer wants FDA to process and release, and Plaintiff has declined to do so. If Plaintiff decides to request fewer records, then FDA will be able to complete its processing at an earlier date."
Snopes adds that the scheduling issue will be settled by a U.S. district judge next month.

Lol, it's pretty easy for everyone to go from the concept of personal freedoms to severe restrictions in the context of vaccinations.
To me, the right thing to do would be to motivate people rather than force them to do it, but that's not realistic!
It is always worth paying attention to all aspects of the Internet, especially when it comes to gambling and real money. And such a factor as instant or speedy payments can serve as an indicator of the site's quality. And it is a selection of such quality sites that caught my eye - https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/fast-payout (https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/fast-payout). I recommend it.

I am pro vaccine but we are not going vaccinate are way out of COVID - to many people don’t trust there governments not just here but also in Europe and Asia. The worlds population is just to big and travel is just so much easier that the spread of new variants is going to happen it’s just a matter of time before we get Delta 2.0.

He's lucky his horrific response to the pandemic distracted away from his attempt to get us into the decades long neocon wet dream war with Iran. And we're lucky Iran acted like the adults in the room.

Umm actually more worried about what Biden is going to do with China and Taiwan and what he is going to do with the Russians who are once again massing troops on Ukraine’s border. And Iran is still a possible fire cracker no way will we let them develop nuclear weapons

Lol thinks being consistent means never changing your mind on anything :lmao
Almost every stand you ever take vacillates back and forth between two choices.
And its not changing your mind, Its taking it back in order to be correct given what suits a good meme you can find or actual facts you cant hide from.
And you criticize Fauci for changing his mind given ACTUAL EVIDENCE he had in that time period and then move it forward when we find new facts to pretend like he lied or he was wrong during the NEW TIME after NEW evidence comes in.
You are a hypocritical lying pos... yet again.
You prove yourself almost daily.

Right, that's why you continue to develop better vaccines, new treatments, vaccines for new variants, along with boosters. If some of those save the lives of that < 20% that don't want to get vaxxed, good, if it doesn't, you shake Darwin's hand and move on.

Not going to argue on that it just going to be really hard to keep up with new variants at some point shit could turn South real quick - Lock downs, Civil Unrest, etc. It doesn’t take much to move a civilized society to basic barbaric real quick - I am not talking about people against vaccine more of economy shutting down - People loosing jobs, Inflation out of control, supply side issues getting basic food and medicine to people. I would hate to be living in a major city during these times.
