Right now it’s simple math. It can certainly backfire or not, we’ll see in the next few months.
Thinking it's simple math and extrapolating how long it will take to vaccinate the population is what makes it a stupid narrative. Right now they are being very selective in who gets the vaccine. That means identifying the people and then scheduling a time for the vaccination. Once enough doses are available for widespread vaccinations to start the pace will pick up.

The Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has 3 key advantages despite lower efficacy rating
It also comes with a few key logistical advantages that could be a game-changer.
It's cheap to produce (https://theweek.com/speedreads/951497/oxfordastrazenecas-covid19-vaccine-shockingly-cheap), and
unlike the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doesn't require (https://twitter.com/TurnbullWhitby/status/1344245203549499394) ultra-cold temperatures for storage, which will make vaccine distribution easier, especially to rural communities.
Finally, the gap between the first and second dose of the vaccine can be as long as 12 weeks (https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-health-coronavirus-britain-vaccine-ha-idUSKBN2940M7?taid=5fec87f954859c000143bc32&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter),
which means more people in the U.K. can receive an initial dose at an earlier stage, giving them some form of protection before the second.
https://theweek.com/speedreads/957855/oxfordastrazeneca-covid19-vaccine-3-key-advantages-despite-lower-efficacy-rate
It's 100% effective in preventing severe illness and hospitalization. Hopefully crooked Fauci and company don't delay it's approval here.

Yeah my wife has been sending people. Takes up a lot of her time talking to the patients about what the treatment is and undoing what they have been told by er & urgent care docs who are sending them home with ivermectin, steriods, and a grab bag of other shit instead of sending them for antibody infusion. She's pretty pissed about it because these people are losing days after diagnosis which lowers the efficacy of the antibodies.

One thing that concerns me is they don't know for sure how long the vaccine lasts. So that one might have to get another vaccine in a year.
But are there any side effects related to getting two different types of vaccines? So the first year, it might be the Pfizer vaccine but the next year, the Moderna. Or Astra Zeneca or whatever.
They couldn't possibly have figured out by now if there are any associated issues in that situation.

Florida fail after Trump fail.
The only demo that needs the vax is 65 plus. The end. Worst states in us are lockdown and mask mandated, just like countries. Its a virus. Its seasonal. It is only a real danger to those already old and severely ill

The guys on TWiV think it's a pretty good guess that the mRNA vaccines will need a boost every 3 years. They're making an educated guess but still a guess. They seem to think the viral vector vaccines like Astrazeneca's will not provide protection for quite as long as the mRNA ones.
I don't understand what the concern is with possibly needing a booster shot somewhere down the road is or why people would not get vaccinated because they might need a booster shot someday.
Pretty simple way of looking at it is you are going to get infected repeatedly for the rest of your life or you can get vaccinated repeatedly for the rest of your life so you can choose the vaccine or the virus.

Good to hear that she is getting her patients the treatment.
She had one last week diagnosed on Sunday who was an entire checklist of high risk factors over 65, black, diabetic, hypertension, etc. When she talked to her on Monday the person didn't want the treatment because covid is a hoax. She called her on Wednesday and the person was feeling worse but still not willing to get the treatment. So she told told them if you change your mind by 4pm let me know but after that I'm off until Monday and by then you won't qualify for treatment anymore. Lady called back like 15 minutes later, okay I'll go get it lol

My concern was regarding side effects of getting one type of vaccine (mRNA) and then going back the next year and getting a different type from a different manufacturer.
Shouldn't make a difference on the mRNA's because it will be the same vaccine. Pfizer & Moderna are using the same mRNA, only difference is their lipid carrier. The viral vector vaccines they will have to change the vector every year because you will have antibodies to the vector which will make the vaccine ineffective. So for example, astrazenca uses a chimpazee adenovirus to carry the coronavirus spike so next time around they have to use a different adenovirus (or something) because you will be immune to the chimpanzee virus.
Mixing/matching vaccines over time won't really make a difference because they all are targeting immunity to only the spike protein. So they're doing the same thing just in a different manner. That's just for these first vaccines. When/if the live attenuated virus vaccines come out it may matter but personally I wouldn't get an attenuated vaccine until there's a bunch more data. I think the sinovac vaccine is a killed whole virus, I'd be hesitant about that one too.
I think the mRNA vaccines are going to rule the day eventually, at least for covid. They are so easy to change if the coronavirus spike changes. All they have to do is change the mRNA but the platform doesn't change so it won't need as much testing.

Allergists Offer Reassurance Regarding Potential Allergic Reactions To COVID-19 Vaccines
A team of experts led by allergists at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) has now examined all relevant information to offer reassurance that the vaccines can be administered safely even to people with food or medication allergies.
country’s medical regulatory agency advised that individuals with a history of anaphylaxis to a medicine or food should avoid COVID-19 vaccination.
After closer review of the data related to allergic reactions, however,
the FDA recommended that the vaccines be withheld only from individuals with a history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the COVID-19 vaccine, and
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advised that all patients be observed for 15 minutes post-vaccination by staff who can identify and manage such reactions.
The U.S. agencies do not recommend that people with food or medication allergies avoid vaccination.

Some Covid Survivors Haunted by Loss of Smell and Taste
As the coronavirus claims more victims, a once-rare diagnosis is receiving new attention from scientists, who fear it may affect nutrition and mental health.
A diminished sense of smell, called anosmia, has emerged as one of the telltale symptoms of Covid-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus.
It is the first symptom for some patients, and sometimes the only one.
Often accompanied by an inability to taste, anosmia occurs abruptly and dramatically in these patients, almost as if a switch had been flipped.
in a minority of patients like Ms. Hansen, the loss persists, and doctors cannot say when or if the senses will return.
some experts fear that the pandemic may leave huge numbers of people with a permanent loss of smell and taste.
Smell is intimately tied to both taste and appetite, and
anosmia often robs people of the pleasure of eating.
But the sudden absence also may have a profound impact on mood and quality of life.
Studies have linked anosmia
to social isolation and anhedonia, an inability to feel pleasure,
as well as a strange sense of detachment and isolation.

From the article:
A recent survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 29% of healthcare workers were “vaccine hesitant,” a figure slightly higher than the percentage of the general population, 27%.
“Even the name, Operation Warp Speed, draws some concern for people about the rush to push it through,” said Dr. Medell Briggs-Malonson, an emergency medicine physician at UCLA Health who has received the vaccine. Still, she urged her colleagues to do the same.

I guarantee the virus I mentioned has already been produced. It’s more likely a mutation will screw an important protein up than perfect one to make it more transmissible.
And this makes it obvious why we probably won’t detect it unless we look for it. Mutation is random. But you understand this selection in a specific environment is not. So why not call for milder symptoms? In fact why not call for basically asymptomatic for the vast majority of the population?
let’s keep going.
Why do you think this virus occurred at the time it did and not earlier or later? Tell us the politics involved, the board would like your even handed forecasts.

Journal article reviews century of data showing COVID-19 likely to impact the brain
a compelling case for SARS-CoV-2's expected long-term effects on the brain and nervous system.
"Since the flu pandemic of 1917 and 1918, many of the flulike diseases have been associated with brain disorders,"
"Those respiratory viruses included H1N1 and SARS-CoV. The SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, is also known to impact the brain and nervous system."
the damage done by the pandemic will not be limited to acute effects, such as delirium in the hospital, but
will have chronic consequences that impact many individuals' quality of life and independence.
the under-recognized medical history of these viruses over the last century suggests
a strong link to brain diseases that affect memory and behavior,

I'm pretty sure he's taking guidance from scientist/viroligists/moderna/pfizer.
The first shot apparently does provide some immunity after a week or two,, so I guess they are thinking that, now that the Trump-Made Pandemic is raging worse than ever, 4000+ dead/day, the first shot to as many as possible is better than two shots to fewer people.
"
[*=1]The standard 15 minutes to watch out for allergic reactions to the vaccine.

A human coronavirus evolves antigenically to escape antibody immunity
https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.12.17.423313v1.full
This might change everything. Turns out everybody just assumed reinfection by common cold HCoV's was due to waning immunity over time and never bothered to check if they were escaping immunity. This study shows we retain immunity to H229E long term but it mutates just like influenza albeit more slowly. With the amount of infection present in the world I won't be surprised at all if we select for vaccine resistance, especially since we are going to play fast and loose with the dosing.

Easiest first step would be to approve the astrazeneca vaccine now instead of waiting for the US arm of the trial to be completed. More peer reviewed data available on it than the Pfizer/Moderna vaccines and it's 100% effective at preventing death from covid. At $3 a dose not much money to be made tho.

Operation Derp Speed
When Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar announced this week (https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/01/12/trump-covid-vaccine-second-shot/?itid=lk_inline_manual_2) that the federal government would begin releasing coronavirus (https://www.washingtonpost.com/coronavirus/?itid=lk_inline_manual_2) vaccine doses held in reserve for second shots, no such reserve existed, according to state and federal officials briefed on distribution plans. The Trump administration had already begun shipping out what was available beginning at the end of December, taking second doses directly off the manufacturing line.https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2021/01/15/trump-vaccine-reserve-used-up/

Nirenberg among mayors urging Biden to send coronavirus vaccines directly to big cities
In a letter (https://twitter.com/Ron_Nirenberg/status/1349510450036305920/photo/1), the 22 mayors urged the Biden administration to establish a national vaccine distribution plan for cities, instead of allocating all available doses to state governments.
And the Metropolitan Health District is only notified once a week by the state about how many doses it will be receiving,
making it difficult to schedule vaccination appointments beyond a week at a time.
San Antonio has “no ability to plan ahead,” Colleen Bridger, interim director of Metro Health, told the City Council on Thursday.
The mayors of the country’s three largest cities — New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago — also signed the letter. The request comes amid widespread dissatisfaction over a sluggish vaccine rollout;
just 37 percent of the total doses allocated to states so far have been put into people’s arms,

‘We’re underselling the vaccine’
Early in the pandemic, many health experts — in the U.S. (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/tnhLwuCUTSLg17mZsgUdLQ~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0T2aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYXhpb3MuY29tL3N1cmdlb2 4tZ2VuZXJhbC1yZXZlcnNhbC1mYWNlLW1hc2stZDM4NWUyZDUt NDJiNy00MzNlLTg5YTYtMzU4NGYzZTYxYmYzLmh0bWw_Y2FtcG FpZ25faWQ9OSZlbWM9ZWRpdF9ubl8yMDIxMDExOCZpbnN0YW5j ZV9pZD0yNjEyNSZubD10aGUtbW9ybmluZyZyZWdpX2lkPTgwOD IxNzk3JnNlZ21lbnRfaWQ9NDk1ODQmdGU9MSZ1c2VyX2lkPTk5 MmQ2MDgyMTRiNTA1MDAzYWEwNGJmMTBhNTk1MDMxVwNueXRCCl _9uXEFYMWmBFRSE2Rhcm5vY25lbEBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAAA~ ) and around the world (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/newsletter/VAZzQfuYCMM1fdrD8vr--A~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0TYaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubnl0aW1lcy5jb20vMjAyMC 8wNi8wNS9oZWFsdGgvY29yb25hdmlydXMtbWFza3Mtd2hvLmh0 bWw_Y2FtcGFpZ25faWQ9OSZlbWM9ZWRpdF9ubl8yMDIxMDExOC ZpbnN0YW5jZV9pZD0yNjEyNSZubD10aGUtbW9ybmluZyZyZWdp X2lkPTgwODIxNzk3JnNlZ21lbnRfaWQ9NDk1ODQmdGU9MSZ1c2 VyX2lkPTk5MmQ2MDgyMTRiNTA1MDAzYWEwNGJmMTBhNTk1MDMx VwNueXRCCl_9uXEFYMWmBFRSE2Rhcm5vY25lbEBnbWFpbC5jb2 1YBAAAAAA~) — decided that the public could not be trusted to hear the truth about masks. Instead, the experts spread a misleading message, discouraging the use of masks.
It confused people. (If masks weren’t effective, why did doctors and nurses need them?)
It delayed the widespread use of masks (even though there was good reason (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/newsletter/fy8cakC_fhGbJ-kJnJLkjw~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0TeaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubnl0aW1lcy5jb20vMjAyMC 8wNi8wNi93b3JsZC9hc2lhL2phcGFuLWNvcm9uYXZpcnVzLW1h c2tzLmh0bWw_Y2FtcGFpZ25faWQ9OSZlbWM9ZWRpdF9ubl8yMD IxMDExOCZpbnN0YW5jZV9pZD0yNjEyNSZubD10aGUtbW9ybmlu ZyZyZWdpX2lkPTgwODIxNzk3JnNlZ21lbnRfaWQ9NDk1ODQmdG U9MSZ1c2VyX2lkPTk5MmQ2MDgyMTRiNTA1MDAzYWEwNGJmMTBh NTk1MDMxVwNueXRCCl_9uXEFYMWmBFRSE2Rhcm5vY25lbEBnbW FpbC5jb21YBAAAAAA~) to believe they could help). And it damaged the credibility of public health experts.
Now a version of the mask story is repeating itself — this time involving the vaccines. Once again, the experts don’t seem to trust the public to hear the full truth.
‘Ridiculously encouraging’
Right now, public discussion of the vaccines is full of warnings about their limitations:
They’re not 100 percent effective.
Even vaccinated people may be able to spread the virus.
And people shouldn’t change their behavior once they get their shots.
These warnings have a basis in truth, just as it’s true that masks are imperfect. But the sum total of the warnings is misleading, as I heard from multiple doctors and epidemiologists last week.
“It’s driving me a little bit crazy,” Dr. Ashish Jha, dean of the Brown School of Public Health, told me.
“We’re underselling the vaccine,” Dr. Aaron Richterman, an infectious-disease specialist at the University of Pennsylvania, said.
“It’s going to save your life — that’s where the emphasis has to be right now,” Dr. Peter Hotez of the Baylor College of Medicine said.
The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are “essentially 100 percent effective against serious disease,”
Dr. Paul Offit, the director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said. “It’s ridiculously encouraging.”
The details
Here’s my best attempt at summarizing what we know:
The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines — the only two approved in the U.S. — are among the best vaccines ever created, with effectiveness rates of about 95 percent after two doses. That’s on par with the vaccines for chickenpox and measles. And a vaccine doesn’t even need (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/NQImQr77rmP1k5itmR7OtQ~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P4SVAWh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmNkYy5nb3YvdmFjY2luZX MvdnBkL3JvdGF2aXJ1cy9oY3AvYWJvdXQtdmFjY2luZS5odG1s P2NhbXBhaWduX2lkPTkmZW1jPWVkaXRfbm5fMjAyMTAxMTgmaW 5zdGFuY2VfaWQ9MjYxMjUmbmw9dGhlLW1vcm5pbmcmcmVnaV9p ZD04MDgyMTc5NyZzZWdtZW50X2lkPTQ5NTg0JnRlPTEmdXNlcl 9pZD05OTJkNjA4MjE0YjUwNTAwM2FhMDRiZjEwYTU5NTAzMSM6 fjp0ZXh0PVZhY2NpbmUlMjBFZmZlY3RpdmVuZXNzJTIwYW5kJT IwRHVyYXRpb24lMjBvZiUyMFByb3RlY3Rpb24sLVJvdGFUZXEl QzIlQUUlMjAoUlY1JnRleHQ9VHdvJTIwY2xpbmljYWwlMjB0cm lhbHMlMjBmb3VuZCUyMFJvdGFyaXgsaG9zcGl0YWxpemF0aW9u cyUyMHRocm91Z2glMjB0d28lMjByb3RhdmlydXMlMjBzZWFzb2 5zLlcDbnl0Qgpf_blxBWDFpgRUUhNkYXJub2NuZWxAZ21haWwu Y29tWAQAAAAA) to be so effective to reduce cases sharply and crush a pandemic.
If anything, the 95 percent number understates the effectiveness (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/v6-9QxwY0tgUm_L1aGvpyg~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P4QRAWh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LnNjaWVuY2VtYWcub3JnL2 5ld3MvMjAyMC8xMS9hYnNvbHV0ZWx5LXJlbWFya2FibGUtbm8t b25lLXdoby1nb3QtbW9kZXJuYXMtdmFjY2luZS10cmlhbC1kZX ZlbG9wZWQtc2V2ZXJlLWNvdmlkLTE5P2NhbXBhaWduX2lkPTkm ZW1jPWVkaXRfbm5fMjAyMTAxMTgmaW5zdGFuY2VfaWQ9MjYxMj Umbmw9dGhlLW1vcm5pbmcmcmVnaV9pZD04MDgyMTc5NyZzZWdt ZW50X2lkPTQ5NTg0JnRlPTEmdXNlcl9pZD05OTJkNjA4MjE0Yj UwNTAwM2FhMDRiZjEwYTU5NTAzMVcDbnl0Qgpf_blxBWDFpgRU UhNkYXJub2NuZWxAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAA), because it counts anyone who came down with a mild case of Covid-19 as a failure. One.
Although no rigorous study has yet analyzed whether vaccinated people can spread the virus, it would be surprising if they did. “If there is an example of a vaccine in widespread clinical use that has this selective effect — prevents disease but not infection — I can’t think of one!” Dr. Paul Sax (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/U2MC6R71Qn1oIzFFpWCISg~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0S6aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubmVqbS5vcmcvY292aWQtdm FjY2luZS9mYXE_Y2FtcGFpZ25faWQ9OSZlbWM9ZWRpdF9ubl8y MDIxMDExOCZpbnN0YW5jZV9pZD0yNjEyNSZubD10aGUtbW9ybm luZyZyZWdpX2lkPTgwODIxNzk3JnNlZ21lbnRfaWQ9NDk1ODQm dGU9MSZ1c2VyX2lkPTk5MmQ2MDgyMTRiNTA1MDAzYWEwNGJmMT BhNTk1MDMxVwNueXRCCl_9uXEFYMWmBFRSE2Rhcm5vY25lbEBn bWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAAA~) of Harvard has written in The New England Journal of Medicine. (And, no, exclamation points are not common in medical journals.) On Twitter, Dr. Monica Gandhi (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/6uaWqx8EhhGk28MGVMvuVA~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0TQaHR0cHM6Ly90d2l0dGVyLmNvbS9Nb25pY2FHYW 5kaGk5L3N0YXR1cy8xMzQ3OTg4NjUxMTc5Nzk4NTMwP2NhbXBh aWduX2lkPTkmZW1jPWVkaXRfbm5fMjAyMTAxMTgmaW5zdGFuY2 VfaWQ9MjYxMjUmbmw9dGhlLW1vcm5pbmcmcmVnaV9pZD04MDgy MTc5NyZzZWdtZW50X2lkPTQ5NTg0JnRlPTEmdXNlcl9pZD05OT JkNjA4MjE0YjUwNTAwM2FhMDRiZjEwYTU5NTAzMVcDbnl0Qgpf _blxBWDFpgRUUhNkYXJub2NuZWxAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAAA) of the University of California, San Francisco, argued: “Please be assured that YOU ARE SAFE after vaccine from what matters — disease and spreading.”
The risks for vaccinated people are still not zero, because almost nothing in the real world is zero risk. A tiny percentage of people may have allergic reactions. And I’ll be eager to see what the studies on post-vaccination spread eventually show. But the evidence so far suggests that the vaccines are akin to a cure.
Offit told me we should be greeting them with the same enthusiasm that greeted the polio vaccine (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/newsletter/oJ_hcLNKha2Kqir7kw_Whg~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRh5_a5P0TWaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubnl0aW1lcy5jb20vMjAyMC 8xMi8yNS9oZWFsdGgvY292aWQtdmFjY2luZS1wb2xpby5odG1s P2NhbXBhaWduX2lkPTkmZW1jPWVkaXRfbm5fMjAyMTAxMTgmaW 5zdGFuY2VfaWQ9MjYxMjUmbmw9dGhlLW1vcm5pbmcmcmVnaV9p ZD04MDgyMTc5NyZzZWdtZW50X2lkPTQ5NTg0JnRlPTEmdXNlcl 9pZD05OTJkNjA4MjE0YjUwNTAwM2FhMDRiZjEwYTU5NTAzMVcD bnl0Qgpf_blxBWDFpgRUUhNkYXJub2NuZWxAZ21haWwuY29tWA QAAAAA): “It should be this rallying cry.”

Johnson & Johnson trials show single-shot COVID-19 vaccine effective
Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine proved safe and
provoked an immune response in young and elderly volunteers alike,
Most trial participants got just one shot of a high or low vaccine dose, or a placebo, although some people aged 18 to 55 got two doses.
Most of the volunteers who got the vaccine produced the neutralizing antibodies, which defend cells from the virus, after 28 days.
Researchers reported some side effects, including fever, fatigue, headache, and pain at the injection site.
Dr. Paul Stoffels, chief scientific officer at J&J, said the data gave the company "confidence" the vaccine will prove highly effective.
Results from the larger phase-three trial are expected later this month.

When did you first get symptoms?
If you qualify consider monoclonal antibodies. Especially if you are very early in the disease course and already showing severe symptoms. You qualify for monoclonal antibodies if you are over 65 and/or have comorbidities. Your Dr can set it up for you. Infusion site is the AT&T center I think (not sure tho).

It's a weird ass virus. My wife had 3 people test positive on the same day, a 44 year old and an elderly couple (96 & 97 yrs old). The elderly couple barely had the sniffles and the 44 year old just came off the vent like 3 days ago.

I haven't read that moving the vaccine around is a problem
It's more of supply at the manufacturing level being limited
Then the supply of people at the retail level to actually give the vaccines for example I think it was CVS that said they simply don't have enough people if they even had the vaccine

If it's the Pfizer one, you have to keep it frozen even while transporting. I can see that causing some challenges, especially in small, far away towns.

Its not just the supply chain. The process for getting appointments, at least here in SA, is stupid. At the place I'm trying to get my mom an appointment, its a telephone number that you have to keep calling and hope you eventually don't get a busy signal. I guess they didn't design a web portal or app, probably assuming the elderly/poor wouldn't have access? There has to be a better way to streamline appointments.

UCLA here has a web portal and I've been getting emails that we'll get an invite through it. Looks pretty straightforward.
But that's sort of the problem when you don't roll out a federal program. You have a hodge podge of things depending where you live.

Amazon has had it's own fleet of trucks and planes for a while now, they only use USPS for the last mile, and still deliver to the middle of nowhere in 2-3 days.
When you need to do mass distribution, it's difficult to beat their logistics, and not really cost-effective if it's a temporary problem, like this.

They had a very orderly and streamlined process for medical workers and teachers. General public? Not so much. Demand far outpacing supply, at this point.

Yep, and it makes sense too. There's been a discussion on whether to stock up the booster or just give everyone the first dose, and that's because supply is constrained.
On top of that the deals they made with CVS/Walgreens was pretty shitty, IIRC.

In 4,159 patients proven to be diagnosed with COVID-19 using a PCR test, colchicine resulted in a 25% decrease in hospitalizations, a 50% decrease in the use of ventilation and a decrease in deaths by 44%. “It’s a major breakthrough,” says Dr Late.
Colchicine works to prevent the “major inflammatory storm” that affects the lungs and can send patients to hospital.

This virus asks questions of a wide variety of bodies.
And it seems it does so by testing a range of body “parts“ by lowering oxygen levels basically asking, any problem here? oh no, let’s go ask your neighbor
Mr. Brain.
There are a bunch of cells in the body that are very sensitive to a lack of oxygen, some react quickly and violently, and some can take it.
This is my basic model at this point just reading about the variety of symptoms and times it takes to get over this thing, and how people are dying.

Even if you don't think you are dying, I strongly recommend you see a doctor that knows their shit. This think attacks the body in weird ways. Why California's vaccine roll-out has been such a mess
"I think it really has to do with proactivity, but much of the fault doesn't lie necessarily with the state,
it does lie mostly with the federal government for kind of not putting enough time into this last mile of vaccination and really just assuming that once the vaccine was delivered, that everything would just smooth wouldn't run smoothly," Adalja said, noting that
the COVID-19 vaccine can't be administered "on the fly" like the flu vaccine.
Californians are now hopeful that a change in guard will bring a sigh of relief.
On Thursday, President Joe Biden released a national plan (https://www.salon.com/2021/01/21/medical-experts-hail-president-bidens-early-and-aggressive-covid-19-push/) to expedite the process.
Dr. Chin-Hong said that a national strategy will definitely help, particularly considering it's the first time that the country has had one.
But he fears the confusion in California is also a symptom of public health being consistently underfunded for years.
"Public health has been defunded for many years, so you can't put on a Broadway show overnight," he said.
https://www.salon.com/2021/01/23/why-californias-vaccine-roll-out-has-been-such-a-mess/
CA cannot enlist enough people to be vaccinators, so 100Ks of vaccines in the state are not being injected.
