I would be very surprised if the following doesn't happen after next season: Watson is gone, Wickline stays at OL, a new OC is hired. I think what we have right now is temporary since we missed out on our two top guys.

Yep, I completely agree. I'm about 80% sure what we've got now is OC by committee (Watson, Wickline and Koenning) with Watson as arbiter. It's unrealistic, but in my dreams WVU is going to suck again next season, Holgo will get fired and be our OC in 2015.

He had shown a great deal of improvement imo as had Espinosa. Edmond was really lost the first 3 or 4 games. He was incessantly filling the wrong gap. Later on, he is reading the QBs eyes and knocking balls down or guessing correctly on short routes over the middle and jumping them.

honestly i can't believe those rules shock recruits. they don't realize those type of rules make them better as players and increase their potential to be drafted - and not be cut.

most nfl teams have very similar atmospheres where they are expected to be professionals. that's why coddling in the program forfeited so much out of the UT program (with exceptions of course).

-Another guy Texas didn't get to meet with was DE Myles Garrett of Arlington Martin.

It was probably an upper class man defensive starter where the classes are smaller and it's easier to see when someone strolls in a minute late.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Strong's staff has already gotten the professors on board. I bet the vast majority of the professors love a coach who will keep his players in line academically as opposed to the guy who just left who only talked about it.

I have to say, I'm proud of this school. I was starting to fade near the end of Mack's career. He just didn't have it anymore. He lost his recruiting edge, and was just a coddler. I love that Strong is a disciplinarian, and will be forcing the players to take responsibility for their actions. He's got me excited for Longhorn football again.

I hope he does and does it well, especially on defense where the state has been producing mediocre talent groups of DL and LB for a while now. A few gems each class but mostly mediocre. I agree with u. He is gonna have to absolutely love everything about Texas to commit back. Pride alone will keep him from committing back otherwise.
