Malik will be given the chance to fill the void left by Jordan Hicks moving on to the NFL. With him being an early enrollee he will participate in spring drills so it is very likely he'll be a starter in the first game against Notre Dame.

It is possible he really wants some DC with current bowl commitments and does not want press. If this is a possibility, and true, then I respect Sumlin for rejecting kids hyper ways over a good coach.

I guess he just should have stated such to the kids. Maybe he did...

These kids running in packs, following each other, etc... should not run a program's long term interests. Mack wants to play with Jefferson, his family likes the Horns and unless Longhorn DL coach Chris Rumph bricks the lay-up, it looks increasingly like that will happen. No pressure, Coach.

He's kind of mean, too. His younger brother, Demarco - a 2016 recruit - is a bruising, undersized ILB.

Bedford isn't going anywhere. Coaches from all levels of football do interviews even if you have no desire to take the job. Always good to practice them interviewing skills for the one that counts. It can also get you an easy pay raise from your current school.

-DT Du'Vonta Lampkin and S DeShon Elliott should be solid commitments after today's events. While on his official visit to UCLA, their coaches asked Malik to tell Lampkin how great everything was. No coincidence that Lampkin's interest in UCLA came out of nowhere recently.

-WR Ryan Newsome and CB Kris Boyd are all but locked up.

-no word yet on the reaction of CB Holton Hill.

You are correct - we can only back date 6 early enrollees towards last years class, so that means any other early enrollees (ie - Irvin if so fortunate) would have to count against this years' class of 25. Huge bonus that we were able to use all 6 spots meaning we could have class of 31 overall.

That was an interesting post by Hamm and all but confirmed Murray is the "mystery" guy being thrown around for a few weeks now.
