Not sure if it had been reported previously but apparently Kyler and Texas Baseball coach Augie Garrido met and spoke to one another while down in Austin. Big news as most know Kyler is a very accomplished baseball player as well and has interest in being a two-sport athlete wherever he lands.

Warren was more interested in Oklahoma state when ronald jones was there, so I'd think it would be the same situation at UT. That being said, texas is in a good position for Brosette too. I personally think Warren is going to lose his spot because he is waiting until NSD. If that happens he will likely end up at washington

Bingo...At one time most of us thought the same thing about recruiting jefferson, but murray could be an instant starter and the package that could come with him is too good not to try.

Not necessarily. The consensus seems to be Texas will try and land two of Jamabo/Warren/Brossette, but no way they take three. With Texas' available scholarship numbers going back and forth, I'm not sure what the truth is. And there's a chance Texas is classifying Jamabo as an ATH.

I've been worried about this recruitment for some time tbqh. Simply for the fact that Kyle Allen is a great QB and Kyler would be on the bench for a couple seasons at least. If he does flip it will be for one reason and that's playing time. Especially considering the rumors that Texas has guaranteed him the starting job next year with two other QB's on campus. That's a lot to turn down and I realize that. I love Kyler Murray but I wouldn't be so concerned with losing him (just because we have Allen) as I would be with the momentum shift and possibly losing out on Lodge, Boyd, Mack, etc. That could be devastating.

I agree, regardless of who we bring into this recruiting class I think Heard still has the best opportunity of starting once the competition wraps up and it's game time in the fall. Not to say we don't need a QB in this class but folks act as if it's Kyler or bust. Heard is as accomplished in his own right we just need to see what the results of a RS year looks like on the field.
