“It was a really good day,” said Burt. “I got a good look at all the facilities, even though I’ve seen them before. I got to see those more up close and personal which was good for me. It gave me an in-depth feel for Texas and what they have to offer.”

“I got to hear what the coaches were planning on doing and loved it,” Burt told Horns247. “I think they have very high expectations for the program. I think they’re all on the same page what they want for the team and the university."

“It was good to see all the coaches have such high expectations and be so organized after only a month and a half,” he added. “I was impressed with what they want for the program.”

“I’ll say that Texas is pretty much at the top,” Burt said. “They’re definitely up there after today’s visit. I’m open to everyone, but Texas showed me a lot today that I really liked. They shot up my list today.”

“It shouldn’t be too long before I make a decision,” said Burt. “I want to try and make one before my season really gets going. I don’t want it to be a distraction. I’m thinking probably toward the end of the summer.”

-OL Patrick Vahe says he's "110% committed to Texas" at this point.

-OL Connor Lanfear said he enjoyed meeting Wickline, but he's still a soft verbal. My opinion is we see him flip to A&M pretty soon as he's always liked them, but it's hard to tell if mutual interest is truly there and if UT may like other prospects more.

-RB Jordan Stevenson is unsure if he'll take a visit to Alabama next week after bonding with the new staff.

-S Johnny Shaw is another prospect who says he is firmly committed to UT.

-Texas supposedly made up a ton of ground with CB Kris Boyd and is back in serious consideration.

I don't know what's behind it, but nine guys have set their Crystal Ball picks for WR Ryan Newsome to Texas since Feb. 23, including guys switching their picks from Tech and Baylor. It's now at 64% for Texas.

The one problem I had with Manziel is that he seemed to have a strong feeling of entitlement and when the team leader has issues with entitlement it will rub off on the ones behind him.

Texas had the same issues with the Big 3 and Ced Benson. Thank heavens for guys like Derrick Johnson Aaron Ross who were guys that led by example. Vince also had it but his off field habits weren't as noticeable or published as Manziels were. McCoy was another great leader that didn't have it. The biggest problem at Texas was the coaching staff was full of guys who thought they were entitled and it did come out.

IMO the best thing we get with Strong is a guy who hates entitlement and believes in discipline. That alone will make this team better.

This prospect was mentioned briefly last week, but RB Vincent Dunning (brother of Justin) is being talked about as an offer candidate for UT. According to Inside Texas, he's basically an unknown at this point in large part because he's had awful grades the past two years. However, Strong apparently informed the Whitehouse coaching staff that he's under serious consideration for an offer should his grades continue to improve. He did end up attending the first Junior Day last weekend.

Apparently he lives 30 minutes from high 4/5-star DE Jalen Dalton. Tuttle said that the two of them would most likely visit Texas together on an official visit. I'll see if I can find the quote.

No idea right now, but I think you have the right idea with one sure thing at QB + an ATH type like Ketchum.

Texas is supposed to have a big QB camp this summer, so things can always change if they see more than one guy they like.
