It's not an opinion they reached out to Houston. Know some folks with UH donors, my uncle who passed , was one a big donor and I know some of the people he was close with. Plenty of money by those guys being invested in UH football. And the Pac 12 is interested. Believe me or not, I won't take offense, just sharing what I have heard.

this loss is solely on the coaching staff, Texas was the better team on Saturday. This game brings me back to the complaint I had last year, that Charlie Strong doesn't know how to manage a game. I have no idea why we even attempted a pass in the second half, we had no reason to, they couldn't stop our running game if they went into a goal line defense. They did everything they had to do to win this game, our coaches didn't.

It was a very frustrating game, reminded me of watching us get beat by BYU, you know they don't have the talent we have but we can't stop them. Charlie needs to realize he is still on the hook and he needs to win or get out. I love his ability to run a program and his ability recruit, but in the end, winning is what matters.

Texas has the talent on defense. My hope going into this season was 8 wins. This team could still get there or even better so I will take California as a learning experience for a young team. If UT can win the next two games then I think just about anyone would have taken a 4-1 start at the beginning of the year. Yes, the Big 12 is not as good this year but neither is Texas. I expect to see a regular bowl game this year, one of the bix 6 next year and a playoff bid the following year.

In 3 years since Charlie Strong has become coach at Texas he has replaced all but 2 assistants. 3 games into his 3rd season he has taken over DC duties for one of the last 2 guys.

My guess is, by the end of this season, he will have one remaining assistant from his original staff. Let that sink in for a moment.

If this season produces less than 8 wins, Charlie needs to either quit or should be re-assigned. He just isn't head coaching material. I love the guy and I love the way he has cleaned up the Texas program. He is a witch of a recruiter and he creates great loyalty with his players. But there seems to be times he is asleep at the wheel during games, and it is very apparent his original staff might have been the worst group of assistant coaches ever selected.

Generally, you can measure how good a coach is by how many of his assistants go on to become head coaches themselves. What does that say about Charlie Strong when after three seasons all but one assistant are fired? I'm starting to think Charlie was a blind squirrel finding a nut when he hired B J-M. To Charlie's credit, his new offensive staff looks pretty legit, and Brick seems to have gotten things turned around with the Dline. DBs are a different story as is our defensive play calling.

Charlie doesn't have time to put this program together piece by piece, he needs a working unit now, he needs to understand there is no tomorrow and we have enough rich guys that we can get rid of this staff and bring in a whole new one and not blink an eye.

How can you tell a CB looks meh when they don't know if the have help or are completely out of position? We were led to believe our two CBs would allow us to get away with lack of talent with experienced safeties. So meh at safety was a given. But not at CB.

The point really is there are so many confused players on the field along with other silly coaching decisions that we/I am a bit tired of excuses. The blocked extra point during the ND game had kids running in and out looking at the coaches hands up in the air. The coaches did not call time out. If we had lost that game, everyone would have pointed at the coaches. Too many things like this have occurred this year.

And there should be zero UT fans that think all is well if we beat OU. The Cal game has illustrated we are vulnerable against almost all of the Big 12.

I don't know if anyone read this story....it is shocking what happened to a kid with such potential....but the story of man that was murdered is heartbreaking.

Two weeks after her husband was killed, the wife killed herself in her garage.

Thomas needed to be involuntarily committed years before this happened. Our mental healthcare system is an absolute joke and the result is that thousands of families have to pay the price....the ones with the illness and innocent victims like the Stevens.

I have a family member with schizophrenia and you get thrown into the wolves den when the illness happens. The headlines will grab you about Thomas' illness, the voices, the erratic behavior, the arrests...this is all par for the course as the dopamine floods the synaptic receptors and their condition detioriates until a tragedy happens.

My heart really goes out to the Stevens.....and to Thomas' mom....she didn't know what she was up against...and i've been in a similar situation and it's the lonliest place on earth.

I have no idea how anyone could watch that game and come to the conclusion that aggy has a badass defense. Its been interesting to read it here and on other boards, and to me it just highlights the people that are just fans and dont actually know the game.
Know the opponent. You act like they were playing a great team. They played Arkansas, a team who had a 17game sec losing streak not long ago and rarely actually beats the good teams. Aggy defense gave up 491 yards. 82 plays. Its not like Ark has a tempo spread offense, Ark is a ball control offense and aggy couldnt get them off the field most of the time. Ark drove it up and down the field, just sucked converting it to points. It was mostly Ark stepping on their own junk.

Meanwhile Texas gives up 476 yards to an equally bad team but a team that is known for yards and points, and everyone loses their shit and wants people fired. That just shows you the different standards of Texas and aggy. Texas defense gives up 500yards and people get fired, Aggy defense gives up 500yards and people get praised. LOL
