I don't know if I'm answering your question, but their imprint on the recruiting industry has evolved.

They started out covering OU only and decided it would benefit them to expand into the Texas market.

Since that happened, they've decided to add video and recruits love their creativity, so they're now taking on lots of commitment video projects which gives them a leg up on information.

I'm sure they had plenty of coaching connections before that.

The interest is there. I read it, but I'm much more interested in our actual games. It's entertaining to see where these kids end up. I just hope after these kids finish they have taken advantage of the school side of their scholarship and leave healthy.

"Spoke to Mansfield Legacy DB Jalen Catalon at length this morning following his trip to Austin yesterday.

The Texas baseball coaches made it clear to Catalon he has an offer to play on the diamond and will be given every opportunity to play. He’s a 3rd baseman and pitcher at Legacy, but would be an outfielder for UT.

I don’t think Texas has a problem with JC playing stickball in the spring. I know his safeties coach Craig Naivar wouldn’t mind. Naivar, with Jalen and his father (Sherman), and a baseball staffer sat together at yesterday’s UT-KU game. This bodes extremely well and the trend line continues to look positive for Texas."

It prompted me to think about our incoming freshman and the following question comes to mind before we really get into assessment:

Which incoming freshman has the best chance to become a starter besides Dicker the kicker?

Anyone got a freshman and an insight. I would rather the choice be a player who forces his way on due to outstanding practice, not given the job because we might be more susceptible to depth/injury problems In that area with clearly better upperclassmen starters injured.

I will throw in Coburn? Any thoughts. Any early enrolled player?

And I realize we are not getting much yet from the Spring and course summer or fall, thus the timing of the question.

If you have to play a true Freshman out of necessity it's rarely a good thing, unless that player has very special talent and extreme maturity (Connor Williams, DJ, Malik come to mind).

But i do believe some freshman, especially at the skill positions will help with depth this year. Our incoming corners and safeties are a pretty talented group and will help with depth and on special teams.

All of the big guys will red shirt with the exception of Coburn. He'll play as a Freshman to help with depth.

All QB's should red shirt. The best collage QB of all time red-shirted for us.

Johmson did this stuff on the beach and on the water. Let's do it on game day on a field consistently. He also apparently went through a case of the pouts. Renewing interest in the game hopefully. I can see why he was frustrated last tear with the QBs constantly under siege. He also has gotta take pride in blocking.
