and the ICIG concluded the wb's complaint was legit, it's Trash's non-independent sycophant Maguire who "broke the law" by taking the wb info directly to Trash, instead of Congress. And Trash stashed it on his super-secret server.
The WB wasn’t an IC member. Maguire followed “the law”.

I mean, you don't even need 'Quid pro quo', that's a red herring. The fact that he solicited the aid of a foreign country for personal gain, be political or personal, is as corrupt as it gets.

Pretty much.
Completely self inflicted wound. I don't know if Rudy got him on his meds or what, completely unnecessary too.
I really am starting to think he legitimately thinks he's invincible and can do whatever he feels like doing without repercussion.:lol Danny Greene syndrome tbh.

If you read the transcript why would you falsely claim that was the favor he asked for?
Prove my claim is false. I can quote the transcript where Trump solicits the Ukrainian president to 'look into' Bidden potential misdeeds, and connecting him to his *personal lawyer* and Attorney General.
You really need a lot of mental gymnastics to pretend that didn't happen.
I mean, you don't even need 'Quid pro quo', that's a red herring. The fact that he solicited the aid of a foreign country for personal gain, be political or personal, is as corrupt as it gets.

If you read the transcript, it sounds like he's trying to get to the bottom of the 2016 election interference by Ukraine. Is that not legitimate?
This is baloney Darrin, and you know it. His personal lawyer has nothing to do with investigating *ANYTHING* about the 2016 election. You can't spin that.

The President: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it: As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible.
The President: Good because I’heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that. The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me.

Expressly using and then admitting to such while acting like it’s no biggie. The corruption and brazenness are frankly admired by Trumpistas, not least because it riles the libs, but also because impunity is a signifier of power.
If Trump loses, he'll carry the stink of defeat and that is the only thing the GOP cannot forgive. They'll all start saying he was never conservative and never Republican in unison, like they did with GWB after the 2006 midterms.

We got members of the red team that have no clue as to the seriousness of what Trump dumped about himself. He shitted on himself. The whistle blower, the encryption stuff he might be trying to hide... It’s the icing.
He is done in 2020. The red team in office understands the seriousness. The interest is in the loyalty for a man who just cold-cocked himself. The rest will just add to it. So you keep concentrating on the rest instead of what he has done and said he has done. This, but, but, Biden.... Has nothing whatsoever to do with what the orange idiot has done to himself. Start a new thread about Biden and hope for the best as you probably want to pretend what our president has done never happened.
Lets see how much more it takes before team red decides to put up a serious candidate. Because red could still win with a serious candidate. Otherwise, bye-bye.

The leaders of the far left are ultimately statists.
Which is completely at odds with the idea of what's normally inferred as 'the establishment' (a few plutocrat elite that control everything).
If anything, the doctrine of the far left is to take everything away from the rich/elite.

It is a legit problem.
The guy has pushed so many boundaries it’s overwhelming. The blue team gives the red team a chance to muddy the water by going into other shit. This current and most blatant problem is clear and most recent. The American people don’t even necessarily know that asking a foreign government to dig up dirt against a political opponent is a seriously high crime. And Certainly 1/3 of the voting public does not gaf.

Pelosi will narrow this impeachment to only the ukraine fuckery
then will display only documented facts
trump withheld $$$
trump sent goons to strong arm ukraine and announcing that only if ukraine prez “plays ball” - will there ever be any $$
after that was established and 400 million was held
then trump took call and impeached himself officially
wh then tried to cover it up
it will be a simple clear vote
dems will all vote that
”yes- any president who abuses his power to extort and to sic foreign govts on his political opponents should be impeached for high crimes and assorted fuckery”
bitch mcconnell and the corrupt gop will tell america
”we defend abuse of power even when we see proof and facts and the crimes are indisputable”

Founders: Removal from office is not the only purpose of impeachment
In my work as a law professor (http://www.clarkcunningham.org/) studying original texts (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/01/29/big-trump-case-hinges-definition-emoluments-new-study-has-bad-news-him/) about the U.S. Constitution, I’ve found statements made at the
Constitutional Convention explaining that the Founders viewed impeachment as a regular practice with three purposes:
To remind both the country and the president that he is not above the law
To deter abuses of power
To provide a fair and reliable method to resolve suspicions about misconduct.
The Convention delegates repeatedly agreed with the assertion by George Mason of Virginia, that
“no point is of more importance (https://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llfr&fileName=002/llfr002.db&recNum=68) … than the right of impeachment” because no one is “above justice.”
Need for deterrence
One of the Founders’ greatest fears was that the president would abuse his power.
George Mason described the president as the “man who can commit the most extensive injustice (https://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llfr&fileName=002/llfr002.db&recNum=68).”
James Madison thought the president might “pervert his administration (https://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llfr&fileName=002/llfr002.db&recNum=68) into a scheme of [stealing public funds]
or oppression or betray his trust to foreign powers (https://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llfr&fileName=002/llfr002.db&recNum=69).”
Edmund Randolph, governor of Virginia, said the president “will have great opportunitys of abusing his power (https://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llfr&fileName=002/llfr002.db&recNum=70);
particularly in time of war when the military force,
and in some respects the public money will be in his hands.”

Seven important and awful signs for Trump
it is the muted reaction of Senate Republicans that leads the list of disastrous signs for the president.
A second bad sign for Trump: The polls are already moving in favor of impeachment — and moving fast.
A third negative indicator for Trump is that the involvement of so many people — possibly including Attorney General William P. Barr and acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney — gives this a Watergate feel and creates many witnesses.
Fourth, when Trump’s remarks (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-says-our-country-stake-whistleblower-account-made-public-n1059011) threatening a whistleblower immediately leaked one could see not only a new basis for impeachment but a willingness of all sorts of people to rat him out.
Fifth, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has given the laboring oar to the Intelligence Committee headed by the very able Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.) and on which two of the sharpest Democrats sit — Reps. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) and Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.).
Sixth, Pelosi has wisely decided to focus (https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/democrats-eye-quick-impeachment-probe-of-trump-as-freshmen-push-for-focus-on-ukraine/2019/09/26/66f50b20-e089-11e9-8dc8-498eabc129a0_story.html) on the whistleblower material for impeachment. This topic alone could provide a basis for impeachment articles on abuse of power, obstruction and threatening a whistleblower.
Finally, Trump is even less circumspect, disciplined and rational than usual.
And why wouldn’t he be?
He may well be only the third president impeached (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/09/25/what-you-need-know-about-impeachment-inquiry-into-trump/) and has a shot at being the first removed.
Surely he must see the walls closing in and the potential for removal, prosecution and,
worst of all for a first-class narcissist, humiliation.
He was so thickheaded he didn’t even realize what was incriminating.
He was so foolish as to take advice from the equally unhinged Giuliani.

April Doss, who served as senior minority counsel for the Russia investigation on the Senate Intelligence Committee and, prior to that, as a top attorney at the National Security Agency, said the S//OC//NF designation of the memo “seems like a typical level of classification for that kind of call.”
That classification indicates that the disclosure of the call would cause "serious damage" to national security, cannot be disseminated by anyone except the originator, and is prohibited from disclosure to foreign nationals. A code word classification, meanwhile, is top secret—a level higher than secret—and then further compartmentalized by adding a code word so that only those who have been cleared for each code word can see it.
Doss said it would be “highly unusual” for this kind of routine call between world leaders to be placed into a system that’s used for information about the nation’s most highly compartmented programs. “It risks undermining a whole host of important national security activities,” she said, noting that “most if not all” officials who would need to have access to call readouts as part of carrying out their regular duties in advising on foreign affairs and implementing the administration’s policies “would not have access” to the codeword system.

After 2017, when verbatim transcripts of his conversations with the leaders of Australian and Mexico were leaked to the press, the White House began to restrict the number of officials who had access to the transcripts. One former Trump administration official confirmed that the White House started placing transcripts into the codeword system after those leaks.

Trump’s Lawyers Argue That He Cannot Be Impeached Because He Was Never Actually Elected
WASHINGTON —In what they believe is a legal masterstroke, lawyers for Donald J. Trump are now claiming that he cannot be impeached because he was never actually elected.
In a lengthy memo sent to the special counsel, Robert Mueller, the lawyers pushed back vehemently against any allegation that Trump was legally elected President.
“Because Russian interference made the election of Donald J. Trump wholly illegitimate,
any attempt to remove him from an office that he does not legally hold is clearly impossible,”
the memo asserted.
The memo claimed that the
Constitution contains “no provision for removing a person from office
when that person was installed there by a foreign power.”
The memo went on to argue that, if a subpoena is sent to the White House, it will be returned to Mueller and
stamped “addressee unknown.”
“A person referred to in a subpoena as ‘President’ Donald J. Trump simply does not exist,” the memo claimed.
Minutes after the memo was leaked, the former New York mayor
Rudolph Giuliani appeared on “Fox & Friends” and proudly announced that he was its author.
“Sometimes I have to just step back and say, ‘Damn it, Rudy, you’re good,’ ” he said, beaming.

Dems are changing their talking points daily.
I don't know why you guys are pretending you're lawyers or pretending this is a legal proceeding. Impeachment is a purely political procedure by design. An impeachable offense is whatever the house says it is. I believe it was Gingrich who when asked why are you impeaching answered "because we can".
So I've only been making two points...
First, I'll believe Dems are actually moving forward with impeachment when they take a floor vote and put their vulnerable members on record. Until then I'll believe they are just hanging the impeachment carrot in front of the base as they have been doing since Trump took office.
Second, I think Dems are losing the public relations battle to get enough support in the country to make impeachment politically beneficial. I could be wrong. This is the only thing Pelosi is trying to figure out now.

The correct way to do it is through a cutout, e.g. Perkins Coie, who can then hire a subcontractor, e.g. Fusion GPS, to do the dirt digging with foreign governments.

Lucky for DJT, it doesn't appear he'll be getting the Benghazi treatment.
Impeachment isn't a judicial process. There's no evidentiary test beyond whatever may be self imposed. It's a political process to rein in lawlessness and maladministration, or whatever a majority of the US House thinks is impeachable.

A president can be removed if this Congress determines that the president's conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in his/her role, because impeachment is not about punishment.

Longtime U.S. intelligence official Fred Fleitz has accused the “so-called whistleblower” who complained about President Donald Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president of “pursuing a political agenda.”
In an opinion piece published by The New York Post on Thursday, Fleitz, the former chief of staff of the National Security Council, wrote that he is “troubled by the complaint,” which was recently declassified, “and wonder[s] how an intelligence officer could file it over something a president said to a foreign leader. How could this be an intelligence matter?”
Fleitz questions the “legalistic” references in the complaint, and notes that “such an extremely polished whistleblowing complaint is unheard of,” and proposes that the writer might have had help “from congressional members or staff.”
He goes on to claim “it looks like more than a coincidence” that Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., tweeted a complaint about Trump’s using aid to Ukraine to hurt former Vice President Joe Biden about a month ago.
“Also very concerning to me is how the complaint indicates intelligence officers and possibly other federal employees are violating the rules governing presidential phone calls with foreign leaders,” Fleitz adds.
“The content and transcripts of these calls are highly restricted. The whistleblower makes clear in his complaint that he did not listen to a call in question, nor did he read the transcript — he was told about the call by others. If true, intelligence officers have grossly violated the rules as well as the trust placed on them to protect this sensitive information.”

Between 2009 and 2013, including when Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, according to that foundation, which is based in Kiev, Ukraine. It was created by Mr. Pinchuk, whose fortune stems from a pipe-making company. He served two terms as an elected member of the Ukrainian Parliament and is a proponent of closer ties between Ukraine and the European Union.
Which brings us back to Serhiy Leshchenko, Ukraine’s unabashed Clinton backer. And whaddya know — besides serving the government in Kiev and providing scintillating geopolitical analysis, Leshchenko had a side job: he was a source for…wait for it…Fusion GPS — the Clinton campaign-opposition arm, led by Glenn Simpson, which later dreamed up the Steele dossier.

The Clinton Foundation - net worth 1/2 Billion Dollars. Annual "donations" to the organization was 142-million before Hillary lost. Chelsea Clinton's salary is almost 1-million per yet but no one know what she does.

Hillary was proven by the FBI to have committed multiple federal crimes. But Comey wouldn't recommend prosecution. And, even though she was proven by Comey to have committed most of these crimes as the SOS. Many people still voted for her for president knowing this. But, bottom line Hillary should do herself a favor and keep a low profile I don' think the statue of limitations has been reached on a lot of her crimes. She needs to be charged and tried for her crimes.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's campaign says President Donald Trump's misleading new television ad is proof that Trump is "in a panic" and knows Biden "would beat him like a drum."
Biden's 2020 campaign issued a statement Friday responding to news that Trump and the Republican National Committee are spending $10 million on an ad focused on the former vice president's work fighting corruption in Ukraine. The ad comes as Trump fends off an impeachment probe by House Democrats after a whistleblower's complaint accused Trump of repeatedly pressing Ukraine's leaders to investigate Biden and his son Hunter.
The ad highlights Biden's efforts to make U.S. aid to Ukraine contingent on that country firing its chief prosecutor and claims that the fired prosecutor was investigating Hunter Biden. It also accuses Democrats of trying to "steal the 2020 election" by impeaching Trump.

Very good ducks.
So Why did Trump say he had conversation with the president of another country to investigate Biden?
Because a whistleblower had the goods. It was going to come out ducks, and the orange ball of confusion went ahead and implicated himself. But there is more to come ducks. Because the leaks will be flowing once a leaker President has his underlings start leaking on him. No honor among thieves and liars. You need to learn this. It’s happened before. This president by his own actions of self promotion has drawn the press to him. He wants attention, he gets attention.
The plane has hit the side of the mountain. But it’s not been fully reported yet. Get ready for some bad news my foul fowl.

"I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... I guess you have one of your wealthy people... The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you're surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it's very important that you do it if that's possible."
Am I? Here's my post properly quoted. Apparently you conveniently omitted some of it:
You asked for the transcript, there's the transcript. And yes, those two sentences by the President are one after the other in the actual transcript release by the White House.
You're just not serious dude. :lol
This better be a troll job, because nobody sane is this stupid or goes through that amount of mental gymnastics...

Exactly. That system is specifically suited to classify natsec documents, not political and legal fuckups by Presidents.
Obviously, this comes from the same people that still think you need criminal conduct, in the legal sense, to impeach a President, so don't hold your breath.

I am a 72 year old retired educator. There have been many presidents who have passed through out history in that time, but I have never seen the media outlets out to destroy a presidency such as the target that Trump has become. I can watch a live statement by Trump, and by the evening news, you wouldn't even recognize that it was the same content. I am almost to the point that I can hardly watch the news, read a newspaper or follow the internet. Yes, Trump has an unconventional way of expressing himself at times, but Trump is just what he is and says what he honestly thinks. I had much rather have this than past presidents who have spent their time kissing up to the public. Our country has come for far during the Trump administration, but we Americans have not been able to enjoy and celebrate that with the constant barrage from the media. What happened to unbiased reporters such as Walter Cronkite who reported the news in his unbiased way. Lester Hold could sure use his example. You go TRUMP. The call makes no sense. Why would the $400 million in withheld critically-needed military aid not be the top priority of the call? It’s inexplicable. The only rational explanation is President Zelensky understood it was being used

Trump's not liked at all by his party, but he is loved by his party's voters. His party pretends they're a conservative party but his voters know they're really a white identity party. The GOP knows this too and it scares the shit out of some of them.

Unconventional.... Trump is unconventional.
Trump invites the press to follow him by constantly tweeting lies and then pushing the boundaries of the president-dictator role and some 72 year old calls him unconventional. Go grab some pussy because you can, hows that for unconventional?
