Market size is overrated. Show me all those Lowry and DeRozen endorsements, not to mention all those failed playoff appearances and then compare it to players like Durant and Westbrook from when they both played for the small market Thunder. The player can play for whomever he wants and still make tons of money in endorsements. The team didn't even believe he was feeling pain/can't play, they misdiagnosed/mishandled his injury and now he's just 70% old of Kawhi.

The whole entire Kawhi saga was surreal. Honestly while he was with the Spurs I never had any admiration for him like I did for Drob,Duncan,Manu(I know Manutards are shocked by this revelation). His personality never seemed endearing to me as someone you can really get behind but I thought due to having a bland personality he would be in a spurs uniform for a very long time. Another positive I thought of him having a bland personality was that I wrongly assumed that he couldn't cause any drama. Too early to say if the Celtics will regret not trading for Kawhi. If the Celtics end up beating the Raptors in the playoffs then there is no regret. The thing I enjoyed the most was watching Kawhi constantly expecting the ball. He's now on a team where the primary best player on the team other than himself also happens to be the PG, who also happens to chuck-up shots with regularity. The ball goes through Lowry first on this team. Kawhi gonna have to get used to not having control...and deal with walking away from $80M when he decides to be the main guy somewhere else.

Interesting that Toronto only played him in 3 of 5 preseason games for a total of 67 minutes. I'd of thought he'd of wanted to get as many reps in with his new 'mates as possible to get acclimated.

Danny had a good preseason for Toronto...72 minutes, 13 of 26 from the floor, including 10 of 20 from deep, 7 steals over 4 games played, and 4 for 4 from the line. Appears that DG is liking his new digs ok. Looks like Kawhi is still trying to knock off the dust, .387 from the floor, .125 on threes, 60% free throws in 3 games.
DG is in contract year. But I like Danny and will not say bad thing about him. Kawhitter is a bum so nuff said.
