I mean he owed it to Spurs to get a better return, somewhat what PG got for OKC. Instead this fucked up chose to torpedoed Spurs chances by spewing all lies instead of being truthful.

That's PATFO own fault. Kawhi told them he wanted to play in LA, there are 2 teams in LA. Play them against each other to get a massive haul. That's what OKC did with PG. Instead stubborn old Pop made it clear they wouldn't trade him to the Lakers which eliminated a lot of the leverage.

He finished top 3 in MVP and DPOY last season, some would say that's "elite".

“You know, once I got together with my team and we put the pros and cons down, it was never about winning a championship,” Leonard said to Yahoo Sports. “It was about what the future has to hold. And for me, myself and my family, that's what type of decision I had to make. It’s no discredit to Toronto, I just wanted to play at home. I wanted to do that before I got traded there, and obviously when I got there, it was a goal of mine to make history and get them a championship, and I feel like I did my job there pretty much and that I should be granted to go play where I wanted to after I gave them what they needed. I just wanted to play at home. Like Paul said, our families are able to come to games. But just from my own thinking, it’s like we're in the NBA and I played eight years already. Eight years can fly by so fast, and we’re not able to do anything with [our families] eight or nine months of the season.

“So once the summer comes, you got three months to either go see family, train and do your other business obligations. There’s really no time to see them, to see your family. I love my family. Over the last five or six years, I’ll go back home and see my family, my nieces and nephews, and they’re talking, playing, shooting basketballs, and I’m like, ‘Dang, I missed all this. Y’all talking already. What? You’re doing this?’ So it’s like, ‘Man, where the hell have I been?’ It feels like you been in a matrix or something.

“For me, it was a family situation more so than a basketball decision. Basketball is going to be here long without me, so I feel like when we’re here, we just have to make sure we share it with our loved ones, and that’s one of the big reasons why I came to the Clippers.”

What bullshit :lol

Shut up bro. The Spurs were legitimate contenders when PG was being shopped and they would've remained that for years if Nephew hadn't quit on them. It made no sense to break up that core for what was, at the time, a 1 year rental since PG made his intentions about wanting to play in LA clear.

He said prime at his age. I think Kiwi didn’t want to be in the big 3 shadow. I don’t know if that’s coming from him or Uncle Dennis because of the lucrative deals nor star treatment he couldn’t get.

Until the next CBA. It's going to be a bloodbath. Owners going to regain control, especially as Lebum's star fades.

I am not sure what owners can do. They keep shorting the max contracts. Doesn't seem to make that much difference.

can you be more specific on what they did ? looks that TIMVP has some info on that but none of us knows really what's all about...
From what he's now saying, looks like his will has always been to go to LA no matter what (and his behavior and choices confirms that).
From what Uncle said looks that there has been a lack of trust by spurs patfo that caused a lack of trust by n° 2 and his group...
I wonder what the hell are they talking about...they have been out of the game for 73 games despite being cleared by Spurs doctors and nba doctors (plus other 7/8 doctors of their choice), decided to play when they wanted, had complete control of all the medical situation thanks to the (wrong, imho) choice of patfo and they hide from the same patfo and did not consent to the same patfo to even look at the medical records ...lack of trust my ass...its the opposite.
There has been too much trust in a group of dishonest people...and no professional should be allowed to be paid millions (18 precisely) to not play at all, and no agent (or fake agent as uncle is) should be allowed to tease organizations like this...
That's the real problem nba has to face...because one thing is to say players have rights, but another is to say they have the right to do what they want against the same team and organization that is paying them...ask publicly for trades indicating just one preferred destination, faking injuries or create havoc inside the team (the way Jimmy Butler did with Minny) or decide to not play even when cleared by nba and teams doctors are unacceptable and unprofessional behaviors that have to be punished and punished heavily...and I mean with years of suspension from nba, to the elimination of the chance for the player to play for another team, till being banned from nba.

U are talking about missing 73 games and Kawhi not vibing with the Spurs but not mentioning that it was how the Spurs behaved during all this that completely turned Kawhi off and made him not want to return to the team...

The Spurs were throwing public shade from pop, the upper management, the current and former players... All because they felt so strongly that they could win that year and send Manu and Parker off in a blaze of glory... The Manu and Parker angle clouded their judgement, and caused them to begrudgingly (according to reports) allow Kawhi to get his own doctors because he didn't trust the Spurs doctors as he felt they were rushing him out...

Them reports came out that the Spurs would tell Kawhi's team one thing to their face, then when they leave, they hear a whole different vibe when the Spurs go to the media... So on one hand the Spurs act like they all are in agreement and on the same page, but when the media talks to them, they act as if Kawhi went rogue...

It came to a point where Kawhi was so turned off that he didn't want to play for us anymore... And when that happened he just decided he might as well go play where his family is

If he would’ve stayed in Toronto or signed elsewhere not in LA I could believe you. But how did the Spurs do him wrong? Because the whole player meeting and all the media BS was AFTER the Spurs realized he was full of shit...

The narrative is ass backwards and there’s a timeline to what happened but it seems people ignore it just so they can fit their narrative. I don’t have a problem with him wanting to go home..but don’t lie and sabotage the franchise and your teammates because you know the “homesick” card isn’t enough of a reason to justify you wanting out.

He was a Top 5 player then, just like he is now and they just got to the WCF. This isn’t like AD where he wanted out cause he wasn’t winning..he was winning in SA (WCF) and he just won a title in Toronto..

He literally said it himself it wasn’t about winning a title..he wanted it to be about family. But no he tricked his way out town and lied about it. Look at KD for example...you can literally make a case that the Warriors misdiagnosed him..he literally tore his Achilles because of it..he had every right to bash them and have that the reason to justify his actions..

But no...he kept it 100. Even if people didn’t agree of this reasons for leaving GSW he didn’t lie about it and try to manipulate the narrative. I respect that by KD and he really had an injury that the whole world saw, meanwhile Kawhi played hide and seek with an injury diagnosis that doesn’t justify missing 73 games.

are you convinced of what you are writing?
Come on man...
Rushing him? He played just 9 games and only when he decided to...
He was allowed (its not his right) to take decisions just with his own medical staff after the Spurs staff cleared him.
He had to consult 9 doctors before having one that could confort I don't know what medical theory just for letting him do whatever he wanted...and don't tell me Spurs couldn't let him have the same "load management" he just had with Raptors...they allowed him to do whatever he wanted in the times he preferred...
He took the money but not the role and responsability that cames with it...and all the facts and clues are in the sense that he simply decided to go the hard way and not play anymore also if he could have...
Once cleared by doctors (not only Spurs doctors) he didn't have any right to feel disrespected for the simple fact that doubts were casted about the way he and his group managed the situation...
The "double standard" you are talking about the Spurs behavior is simply ridicolous...because, at least publicly, nothing offensive have been said apart express some logical doubt (by teammates too) about a medical and pain situation that was not only incomprehensible by usual standards but also impossible to check simply because he did not allow it to be checked...
These are facts, not "vibes" or opinions...

Kawhi should've just played out his contract and walked in free agency. At the end of the day I doubt SA was as bad as he made it out to be. I mean sure, maybe they weren't as aggressive as they could've been pursuing top talent, but that's probably the only knock you can make on this front office. By all accounts everything else is as good as can be. Professionals through and through. Kawhi bitched out, simple as that.

Well it seems the Spurs weren’t under the impression Kawhi was unhappy or getting PG was a must...I think it’s been stated that CP3 was their plan going into that offseason, but struck out and decided to run it back with the team that made WCF.

But from what I’ve heard Kawhi never talked or communicated his true feelings...hell even Toronto thought they had a chance even tho they damn well didn’t..

I’m just saying it was a discussion across the media once KD tore his Achilles...was he misdiagnosed or pressured back? People in the media were literally comparing it to the Kawhi-SA situation.

KD could’ve easily used that as his reason to leave GSW...but it wasn’t. His mind was set on leaving before the season and his mind was already made..but he kept it 100.

Meanwhile Kawhi BS’d his way out due to injury management.. got traded and was “treated great” with Toronto and won a fucking ring..yet he still left.

And then he finally confesses he just wanted to play at home. Also pretty much said family > rings as his priority..I mean I dunno what else has to be said for his true intentions to be shown.

Or maybe the spurs knew what #2 and his camp were doing and that’s why they began calling him out ? Have you considered this possibly?

What about Jalen Rose reporting #2 wanted out before pop and company started making comments to the media ?

Every player that gets injured gets paid their money still... Do u not know how the NBA works?

Everyone knows he was saving himself bc of his thigh owie. He just didn't want to declare himself out for the year as that would put red flags on his bid to get the SuperMax. It all changed when TP called his bitch ass out in public and the team turned on him in private. But in the beginning he was torn between wanting to go to LA (influenced by his uncle and sister who want to make the most money off him by managing him since he can't do shit but dribble a basketball), and wanting the SuperMax. But the thigh owie concerned him greatly, so he basically quit due to anxiety over reinjuring it. The docs looked at imaging and said there was nothing present, which made him even more anxious as they were basically calling him out that it was all due to individual pain tolerance (i.e. he's a pussy).

Reports I've read said Kiwi kept telling the team I will be ready by this date. Then "this date" would come and go and no Kiwi. Repeat 3-4x and that's when the "ask kawhi's group" comment and the team meeting happened. After a while he left the entire team in the dark, even his teammates.

Also, can you source "Spurs would tell Kawhi's team one thing to their face, then when they leave, they hear a whole different vibe when the Spurs go to the media"

If the timvp (https://www.spurstalk.com/forums/member.php?u=8) hadn't disabled the search functions all you spergs talking shit would be in thread after thread response after response in summer 2017 bitching about not trading for PG13. You were also in bitching about the Loyalty contracts to "the leader" aka towely towel waiver aka Patty and Gasol. You all posted about "PATFO, you suck. If I were Kawhi, I wouldn't waste my prime years...."

Here you have from the guy's mouth he went to PATFO requesting to GET RID of LMA and whatever remnants of the leftover Big three for a running mate in PG13 and THEY DIDN'T do it.

For fuck's sake, the SPURG of this BBS is strong

lol

Who requested the disable of the search function?

Arguing that LMA or DDR or BETTER than PG13, when not metric or sound basketball NAME would agree with you. LOL

Using the "disrespect towards 21" as a way distracting from the ABOVE.

The Lakers played the "well he's coming here next year anyway. We have LeBron. Pound sand Spurs." The entire NBA lowballed the Spurs. A year ago makes a huge difference here. Boston, Lakers, Clippers should have come up with more at that time. #2 and the unc destroyed what the Spurs could get - on purpose. They wanted to make it a toxic environment by saying only two teams. Lies upon Lies upon Lies about the FO.

Once again. Will #2 play back to backs next season? Was that question asked or was the clipp event a dog and pony show.

The comments this week in LA are more words than the mute spoke his entire career in San Antonio.

The Pacers under Bird developed Jalen Rose, Jermaine O'Neal, Al Harrington, Danny Granger, Paul George & Oladipo all of whom MIP (even turned Roy Hibbert into an All-Star) but keep sucking off Pop who can't get out of the 1st rd without MVP candidates.

Pretty sure Tony was still in his prime from 2011 - 2013. He really started to slide during the 2013 - '14 title run. So, he has played with "elite" talent before (Duncan was an elite defender until his penultimate season).

He was clearly talking about an elite 2-way player just like himself which Tim/Enrique weren't during the 2010s.

its close considering the 2 way impact PG has (parker was an average on-ball defender at his position)... but parker was really carrying the load on offense and truly was the engine. just watching him run that loop play over and over again was exhausting :lol

honestly he fell off the cliff at some point during the 13-14 season. i dont remember if there was a particular injury, but he no longer had the explosion and became more of a ballstopper, and it was around the time kawhi really began to emerge, to the point where parker possessions became frustrating (and apa/harlem/fkla would start daily threads about parker :lol)

Yeah bitch, we all already knew there was nothing the Spurs could have done to keep you in San Antonio. Nice of you to finally admit it after playing the victim card.

If he didn't have any gripes such as being misdiagnosed & his only agenda was to end up in LA by all means necessary then care to explain why he didn't push his way out of Toronto instead of playing out his contract?

Not to mention he could have left as a free agent in the summer of 2015 instead, he didn't even considering singing with another team. Something tells me there was a mishap that caused the relationship to deteriorate.

All things being equal, he was going to sign in LA when he became a free-agent just like he did this summer but him asking out stemmed from the relationship being frosty rather than simply trying to force his way to LA like Davis.

Basically, if he hadn't been misdiagnose & PATFO hadn't doubled down by giving 100 mill to Fatty/Pau then he would have most likely played out his contract then moved on to LA.

Pretty much this.
Acting as if PG is all of a sudden a top 3 talent just cause Kawhi wanted to play with him. He's good no doubt, but building your team around PG won't get you far. Building your team around Kawhi and having PG as a co-star or whatever, thats a smarter move.

LMA was likely to be at least a finalist if Kawhi doesnt go down 2017. So yeah, this whole "Elite player" phrasing is just him trying to coddle PG since he's sitting right next to him when he says it.

They are both betas but Paul George is better than Softridge & is a better fit w/ Kawhi.

Paul George as a baby was going toe-to-toe w/ PEAK LeBron meanwhile Softridge in his PRIME was having shrinkage problems against Draymond.

Besides, Kawhi who is a better 2-way wing than Paul George?

Jimmy Butler is at best what Paul George was at Indiana & Klay never had to carry a team. Other than that it's guys like Khris Middleton.:lol

George looks like Jordan when he's sharing the floor w/ DeFrozen (the same guy ST folks are claiming is in his tier)

I'm pretty sure if Snake didn't LITERALLY rapture his achilles at mid-court you would have been claiming he "quit" on his team b/c he had his sight set on BK.:sleep
I guess Kiwi should have kept quite like loyal servant Iggy & only aired out their dirty laundry on his way out:clap

Meh Kawhi made the right move being traded. He cost himself 80 million but won a title, redeemed his reputation, and now has the narrative as the best player in the NBA. Not a too shabby a season for the claw.

He pulled a bitch move though. Kawhistorm trolls us by saying we misdiagnosed him, but he doesn’t even know what was wrong with Kawhi. Hard to claim Spurs misdiagnosed a person when we don’t know what is wrong with him (hell even Toronto didn’t know what was wrong with him).

Kawhi could’ve helped the Spurs out by coming to a mutual breakup. Instead he refused to speak to anybody in the organization (that was still paying him) and put out that he would only play for LA. Even though that came to be true, that significantly lowers his trade value. Add on his isolation and the fact that literally nobody knew what was wrong with him and it was the perfect shitstorm for the Spurs.

Eh, every news organization is always looking for some angle. I'm sure it is as boring as Tim knows Pop, he knows the system and culture, and he's been hanging around the team. He's bored so why not add a legend to the coaching staff. I'm sure it has nothing to do with Kawhi what so ever. I do think it's interesting that they "asked Manu first" as the news reports. I don't know that it was one or the other. I don't think the Spurs would disrespect Duncan by putting him second on the list behind Manu. And I'm sure Manu has a job the minute he decides he wants to coach.

I think the FO was probing Manu about it even shortly after he retired, since he is so smart (bbIQ wise). I also doubt it would be one or the other, as they could have just brought him in as a consultant/advisor, like Timmy was to the bigs the last couple years.

I wouldn’t boost about his bbIQ. He did plenty of dumb ass stuff as a player. What I admired was his fearlessness and determination. I actually think Tony Parker would be a better coach than Manu.

Whenever you think Manu might not be as smart as advertised, just go watch an off court interview to erase any doubt, tbh. Preferably in Spanish.

Ya it sounds ridiculous, but I feel there is a growing feeling players have around the league that the coaches and owners represent slaveholders. That Simmons thing about him just wanting to play basketball and not hear shit from Pop about cultural respect and such got me thinking. It seems like Pop's pedigree and his outspokenness would make him exempt, but some might see him as "fake" or his opinions and speeches might even be considered irrelevant by the mere fact that he is white. It sounds ridiculous and it most likely is, but I after the Kaepernick thing especially, and with Lebron leading the player empowerment movement, I feel there is some tension between players and management.

People were questioning KD's injury before he was an idiot and played...

Kawhi saying it wasn't about championships was referring to his move to LA... he would have simply sat out the playoffs since he was clearly hurt if he didn't care about winning...

According to ppl in the know, the Spurs did Kawhi wrong... And they were unaccustomed to players not bowing their head... Kawhi reached to a point after the disrespect that he didn't want to play for us anymore, and loyalists look at it as him just up and wanting out... U guys prefer players like Danny Green where Pop can tell the to "shut the fuck up" and they just bow their heads

duncan2k5

are you convinced of what you are writing?

Simply not true... Spurs were doing it WHILE throwing shade... So it wasn't genuine

Ur mixing two things... AFTER he wanted out of San Antonio, he decided he might as well play at home... If spurs didn't do what they did, he would have still been a spur... I know it makes us feel better to say there is nothing we could have done, but that's not true

No... The docs looked and said there WAS something, and the Spurs doctors ended up admitting there was... Ppl tend to leave that part out

The Spurs have a better young crop of players than Toronto. It is Siakam and a bunch of vets past their prime on Toronto. Gonna take a huge leap from Pascal (Nephew - esque) for them to even sniff the 2nd round. They should make the playoffs with how weak the east is.

Wrong. He showed further consistency in being the #1 scoring option (at an elite/HOF level) but by any measure his defense (especially help defense) took a huge, huge hit. His rebound percentage was up, but his steal %, assist %, block %, WS, DBPM & VORP were all down from his last healthy season in San Antonio ('16 - '17).

Some of that can be blamed on (self imposed) rust, pacing himself and needing to exert more energy on offense. Another factor could be he isn't the same athletically with the chronic quad issue and he's lost some explosiveness. He still uses his wingspan, anticipation and smarts to be a plus on - ball defender and has learned to use bully ball (ala Prime LeBron & Carmelo) on offense (which compensates for his loss of hops).

He's also lucky LeBron is aging out of his prime, Durant suffered a career altering injury and Giannis still needs to add a reliable perimeter shot otherwise he wouldn't be in the conversation for "best player in the NBA." Anthony Davis could also take another step forward and quickly surpass Nephew. His grasp on the "best player" mantle is tenuous at best and likely short lived.

This is a great breakdown of Nephew (although I wish it was more in - depth on him):

While nice, that video has a drastic extrapolation (disregarding a lot of ADs season after the trade demand), and didn’t age well due to the injury to KD and the playoff explosion of Kawhi. Westbrook may be on the radar there at some point too, given he will be on a super duo team himself this year.

In 2019 the same fans. "best player? selected on 1st team of the decade? nah...Lebron KD blah blah blah"

Two years and I still wonder why most Spurs fans got mad after he left.

Granted, no one liked "how" he left but after all...only a few guys really liked his game in San Antonio.

On Spurstalk I can remember only 3-4 fans that really loved his game before the Unclegate.

I have no time now but I should post some vids about his series vs Bucks esp games 3 and 5. I doubt other player in this league can do the things that Kawhi did on both ends in those games.

while i would argue there were more than a handful of those who thought of leonard as the next franchise player, i would agree that the general assessment of him was the he wasn't a top five player and would likely never be one. there were many who scoffed at his ball handling, his passing and his play in crunch time. but, there was also a pretty decent sized faction in here that thought he had not yet hit his ceiling.

spurs fan would've easily put him over tony if he had stayed in sa. and :lol no, nobody complained about his personality. people thought he was td 2.0 in terms of not caring about the press, not caring about being social, and only wanting to put work in. "not that likeable of a dude", gtfo, such revisionist history. we were enamored with him, and rightfully so, until things went south.

Kawhi was my favorite player in the league. I legit thought he was the next TD for us.

I've never been more wrong about a player or a person.

I was over it last year and was rooting for him, I'd rather him win the next 4 titles if it means Lakers won't get one. And that's 100% honesty. Dude is super autistic and let his piece of shit uncle start handling affairs, he wanted to go home. It is what it is.

On the flipside, I don't think Spurs are quite as irrelevant and some of the crybaby bitch posters say around here.

But while both showed quiet demeanor, they stem from totally different behavior. Timmy genuinely despises the attention and let his actions speak for his work. He sacrificed fame and fortune to elevate the team. Kawhi is just the opposite. He is plain anti-social who cannot express himself emotionally without his uncle scripting his every word, while displaying his true a-hole side along the way, driven by money, despite their denials. He was banking on the big market to make-up for the lost salary and sales from Nike’s logo. A complete passive aggressive jackass.

Timmy's a real one. No one can say the same about Kawhitter. Not even his former teammates, Kyle and Serge.

While nice, that video has a drastic extrapolation (disregarding a lot of ADs season after the trade demand), and didn’t age well due to the injury to KD and the playoff explosion of Kawhi. Westbrook may be on the radar there at some point too, given he will be on a super duo team himself this year.

I meant as a breakdown of Kawhi last season and that he had his "best year ever" nothing more. Clearly, he proved (like the video stated) he's all - time great ISO scorer and on - ball defender but his game slipped in a lot of key areas (including help defense).

J_Paco

tl;dr bullshit advanced stats and if my aunt had a dick she’d be my uncle-level hypotheticals. anthony davis has won one playoff series as a freak of nature big (Dwight Howard went to the finals), is injury prone, and is going to have to carry a terrible lakers team once ledecline is in full effect.

kawhi is the best player in the league now and will be for at least the next three years. he will win at least two more rings in his career and have at least another finals MVP. feel free to screencap/tag/whatever this post for future reference.

You are beyond delusion, man. Giannis is 3 or 4 years younger, less injury prone and only needs to improve his shooting range to be the unquestioned best player in the league. Nephew and George aren't guaranteed good health and the Bucks & 76ers have a much, much easier route to the Finals.

Nephew is enjoying his moment on top, but that could easily end as soon as this season. But, no I'll let you continue to dick ride the traitor......

You realize that reinforces his point, right? I don't care how hard you work, going from a 25% shooter to a 35% shooter isn't an easy feat, especially since Giannis doesn't have a mid-range game either and guys with large hands have an even tougher time maintaining a consistent shoot.

The person he responded to said that's all Giannis had to do to become the best in the league, implying that it was easy to do. Which you just showed it isn't. By his 30s he may have developed that skill but his other skills will have likely diminished as well and it'd be irrelevant to who is the best next season or the season after.

Umm, he's shown just as much hard work and dedication to his craft as your "idol," Nephew. If anyone is capable of taking the next step and surpassing Nephew, Durant and James that would be Antetokounmpo.

But, only an idiot like you would think he'll just stop improving now (when he's statistically improved every year of his career)......

No one said it was "easy to do" but Giannis has shown over the last 6 years that he has a drive and dedication that is rare (like Nephew). They are both self made and have worked hard to become elite. I wouldn't doubt that Antetokounmpo is capable of taking another step further.

I'll very own Tony Parker was a horrendous and inconsistent shooter from the perimeter his 4 or 5 yrs in the league, but eventually improved his mechanics and became a deadly pull - up mid range scorer (could never extend it consistently to beyond the arc). If Giannis can get to league average (34% or 35%) on a solid two or three attempts a night he'll be solid.

Much like LeBron in Miami (another guy with a "broken shot" that has improved after 25) it'll be about the threat of scoring outside (to open up driving lanes).

I guess the Spurs should trade Derrick White now since he's already 25 and can't possibly improve. Maybe rid ourselves of anyone else past that threshold since 25 is the new 30 to the Nephew knob slobbing crew.......

Say what you want to about Durant, but he's more of a man than Kawhi. He got asked straight up about his injury today, and this was his answer:

So we got straight to it. Did the Warriors mishandle the injury?Durant slowly straightened up with a perplexed expression on his face.“Hell, no. How can you blame [the Warriors]? Hell, no,” Durant told Yahoo Sports. “I heard the Warriors pressured me into getting back. Nobody never said a word to me during rehab as I was coming back. It was only me and [director of sports medicine and performance] Rick [Celebrini] working out every day. Right when the series started, I targeted Game 5. Hell, nah. It just happened. It’s basketball.”

Lebron, Parker and Giannis all started playing at 19. Giannis is 6 seasons in and has only had 2 seasons where he shot above 30% from 3, Lebron and Parker had 5. If fact Lebron has only had 1 season where he shot lower than 30% in his career (rookie year) and Giannis wishes he could shoot as well as Lebron did during his Miami years (which is basically your goal for him).

Bottom line is Giannis' scoring ability outside the paint is pretty awful, it's possible and probably likely that he eventually gets better at it but that isn't something that just happens in a season or 2. Especially since he's 6 seasons in and still has nothing to show for it. By the time he realistically develops those skills his other skills will likely begin to diminish and they end up off-setting.

And before anyone compares it to Kawhi becoming a good 3pt shooter. Kawhi already had a decent midrange game and was a good FT shooter so he already had the foundation to improve and why the Spurs felt comfortable drafting him.

To be fair, the Bucks were better than most teams in the West last season.

Also, the Spurs were the only Western Conference team that could contain Kawhi in regular season because he had great games vs Warriors Blazers Utah Rockets Thunder..

I guess his season depends on his healthy not about the other teams. If he can stay healthy he can dominate and beat any team in the West.

For those who shelled out dough for season tickets, single games, even those of us who invested time in games I am also majorly disappointed by the lost season and subsequent near disaster trade.

But until Media Person / Insider comes out with the whole story, it's incomplete. People can post and say all they want about how "this is what Kawhi and Uncle did for a fact." Not a fact. It's pure speculation. Until Media Person / Insider chooses to come out. Which I realize they may have their good reasons for not and won't ever. Thus it remains unknown what came down.

Lots like to make it a 100% Popped vs Kawhi deal, but I don't see that. Pop has said Kawhi was a great teammate and pooh poohed any talk of diva ness. I do think Pops derailing Kwas MVP season with having the offense switch to pouting LMA about touches did not sit well with Kwa and Uncle. Entirely justified. But that was gotten over and MVP Kwa lead a 22 point lead vs. the Golden Frauds. Myself I could see from a mile away that someone, and most likely either Zaza or Donkey Breath was going to try to take out Kwa. Pop didn't have enough street ball sense to see it coming. But then the 12:01 a.m. signing of Fiddy Paddy along with 48 Gasol had to have added to the rift.

Such a great role model. :cry

There's a quote out there from last season where Kawhi pretty much comes out to say I don't care about what fans think. It was eye opener because my first instinct was to think you had no bad feelings about leaving spurs fans. Also Isn't he a role model to all fans?

Keep on crying however. For some it's a coping mechanism.

Youre fucking lame

The fact this abomination of a thread is still open after a majority of people who use this forum voted to close it is proof this website is poorly run and its whole vision and focus is to appease to these trolls and make money off of articles. It could be so much more if it was ran well. Instead, apa is the fucking mod and is treating this forum like his playground. Garbage.

He writes, “To the contrary, the balance of California is where the key events underlying the allegations of the Complaint occurred"...etc.

LOL. Yeah, right. As if the fucking autist is able to write above a second grade level. Just like he could design a logo that looks better than a second grader's Thanksgiving hand turkey.

1 of 3 things has to happen for this thread to finally die.
1. Spurs win another title.
2. Spurs beat #2 in the playoffs.
3. #2 becomes washed up. This will happen eventually due to old age or some major injury does it.
