Na, SCOTUS ruling only applies to whether Trump had immunity. SCOTUS specifically left open the possibility that Trump could still appeal a lower court ruling for other reasons, ie the subpoena being too overboard.

The difference is that once Trump loses this one at the court of appeals level, that ruling probably stands and SCOTUS doesn’t take it on. SCOTUS doesn’t want to waste its time on vanilla issues regarding whether a subpoena is overbroad.

As I've previously said, I'd still like to know what (if anything) the pollsters did to fix how they're polling the rustbelt 4 years ago in order to account for outsized rural voter turnout.

If they've made corrections to their polling, then a 4 point lead for Biden isn't a terrible position for him, since he's likely going to get a convention bump.

If they're still polling PA the same way they were 4 years ago, a 4 point lead for Biden isn't good because it means PA is a coin toss.

IMO this is a pretty reasonable opinion on polling in the key swing states.

I don’t disagree with anything boutons just posted, but why is it so god damn hard for black people to just mail their ballot in early or vote early to make sure it gets counted? There’s no reason this needs to be done on CP time where they ballot gets sent in the last round of mail on Election Day. I don't dispute that black people are systemically fucked over in many ways, especially when it comes to bureaucratic hurdles being put in place to suppress their vote, but this isn't the post civil war south where black people were beaten or lynched for trying to vote Republican (Party of Lincoln, D'Souzamugshot.jpg, etc.). The really simply solution to this is black community leaders who are aware of what's going on (pastors, politicians, athletes, etc.) organizing a grassroots movement too ensure high black voter turnout. IMO black people (and everyone else) should absolutely be able to roll out of bed on election day without having put any prior thought into making sure they could vote, show up in person, get same day registration done and vote without having to wait in line very long, but that's not how it currently works.
