IMO, players with a glimmer of star upside:
-Dilly
-Topic
-Buzelis
-Collier

Players with no star upside but with chance to turn out to be super role players
-Shepperd
-Sarr
-Rissacher
-Dalton

Role players, nothing more:
-Castle
-Cody Williams

games like last night give so much more context to how they are used, and give way more insight than stats. Stat geeks will ignore games like last and point to free throw percentages or assist/turnover rates. They don’t care about anything but tankathon, tbh.

Wow

Way off on player analysis here.

I’m glad I’m in your head so much that you’re specifically digging through the thread to find MY posts :lmao you probably should keep going to find my newer posts and how my analysis changed over time. A lot different than saying the same old shit that you post in 10 threads.

You're very loud in here and as wrong as anyone else. You weren't even close as to how they were drafted.

And No I wasn't specifically digging through the thread to find your posts.

Just happened to fall onto what you said while going back and reading some of the posts.

Look at how bad your reading comprehension is when you misinterpreted my posts as saying what order they will be drafted vs how they will turn out.

You’re an old man who repeats the same shit over and over because your brain doesn’t process things like it used to (or did it ever process things beyond the simple shit you post? Maybe not).

”just happened to” LOL bullshit, old man

How they were drafted is how the actual NBA front offices view how they will turn out. How you think they will turn out is way off from what the actual NBA front offices think(including the Spurs) and how they were drafted.

Didn't think I had to explain the obvious to you.

How NBA front offices view and draft players is never equal to how players turn out, dumbass. That’s why anyone can do a re-draft for every year and it would be in a way different order based on how they turned out. Get your nurse to give you your sleeping pills, it’s time to go to bed.

I wouldn't be concerned about Topic's shooting tbh. He's Serbian and if you know anything about Serbian basketball or played against Serbs than you should know that you could grab any old man off the street and he'll most likely be a 3-point sniper. Shooting is in their DNA, there's no way he doesn't get to the point where he's efficient from 3.

have you ever been to Serbia? Every Serb is a good shooter. I'm not saying they genetically superior, I'm saying it's the main culprit of their basketball culture. That means you learn how to shoot at a young age and everybody will teach you the proper shooting form. They lights out shooters, which is why I'm not worried about Topic's jumper. He shoots 85% from the FT line and 52% from 2. It's not like he's one of these high school kids with a broken shooting form.
:lmao 9-37 from 3 today

this is the time of the year where spurstalk falls in love with a guy who plays defense, but can't shoot. Happens every year. Last year it was Anthony Black.

Don’t die on this hill buddy…. You’re not very smart

I've been researching a bit on guys who rose to the top of their drafts. Some of you have seen some of my posts about it. Work ethic seems to be a factor that is more useful than many common measurables.

Just for fun, I'm gonna put on my Carnak hat and go all in on the future best player from this draft: Jared McCain. If you believe the grapevine about what a hard worker he is, and if my theory has any basis in reality, here's your all-star. :lol

I'm certain someone will bump this when he signs in China. :lmao

Saw this on nba_draft:

Isaiah Collier currently has the worst TS% in NBA history (34.6%) and the worst turnover rate in NBA history (34.4%) and has the worst BPM in NBA history (-10.3)

Yeeoutch. I thought he sucked in college but this is bad. He's like Scoot in bullying players in high school and getting too highly ranked. Utah really blew their three-FRP draft. Cody Williams may turn out eventually but has been yanked from playing any minutes whatsoever. Filipowski is the best of the three.

Wonder what a redraft of the Top 10 looks like right now? Probably still too early

I'm not sure too many teams are kicking themselves, as no one has really stood out as a "damn we fucked up" kind of way. I could see the Top 4 all going like they did. Obviously you'd have someone like Wells going a lot higher, but my guess is that most teams are probably okay with their decisions at this point.

You're supposed to completely judge Collier in December of his rookie season. Malaki Branham on the other hand, you have to wait until year 4.

If Collier figures it out, cool. He's putting up lots of shots and turning it over a lot. If there are two guys I can see returning to mean it's him and Ware. Both were lazy knuckleheads in college and that usually never leaves. Again, if they manage it, cool for them.

Mr. Body

Teams usually don't pay attention to these guys the first or second time around and then they adjust.
