it was the preseason after the championship season ... I saw Timmy live ... I was able to take a photo with him in the Adidas store ... that was more important than the loss against Alba tbh Hell yes it was! The pre-season wins and losses are insignificant, except for us fans who hate losing no matter when it is! Glad for ya that you got to meet Tim. Very cool!

Yeah I'm a fan of his, but we have so many players at the guard spot. I think he has a George Hill type game... Don't think Forbes is even worth the trade.
Side note: I think New Orleans could use him as well.

I am not really huge up to date on the Memphis situation but I knew they had more guys signed than roster spots and they had Mario Chalmers on a make good camp deal (sort of like the Rasual Butler deal Spurs had 2 seasons ago). If he was cut it was no loss, but he had a chance to make the team. From what I saw Chalmers was their leading scorer off the bench bouncing back from his injury well... and he earned a rotation spot. Other than that, I don't know anything else about their roster situation. But it was Chalmers, Baldwin or Harrison.
This is from a Grizzly fan website:
With Baldwin, the logjam at point guard was not in his favor. He did not make the strides in the offseason to show he was a more protectable player than Andrew Harrison (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/255244/andrew-harrison). What comes as a shock is the choice to cut ties with the 17th overall, first round draft pick from the 2016 Draft. This is the front office admitting the mistake with yet another blown draft pick. On the other side, it shows they are moving past it making the correct move to waive Baldwin.

It just seems to me like Jabari genuinely likes the players and can relate to them. His interviews are always more accessible and friendly with the players. He's done all these off the court interviews with all the guys, the rookies, the veterans... over the past couple of years he's talked to a lot of them. The most recent ones I posted were with Kyle and Bryn Forbes, but he's sat down with a lot of the guys. Contrary to the other SA reporters, he doesn't limit himself to asking cliche cookie cutter questions.
He got mixed up with JSimms agent reporting about his negotiation with the Spurs or what not, but he was the only SA reporter that was digging information about it. He also reported about Lamarcus being unhappy way, way back. He might look amateurish at times, but Jabari is the most genuine. I should post something to his tweet to encourage him. :toast

Also, I assume most of those guys in the 2014 draft class are staying with their teams. It's just a matter of establishing their market price, and some of them have to stay healthy for a season (like Lavine and Jabari Parker). Aaron Gordon may be very expensive but if he breaks out as a MIP or something of that nature, Magic will match on him. It will be interesting to follow.

Probably so. As soon as the Aldridge news broke, I immediately thought of Green. Since they're now committed to this core, I figured they might as well get him done and ostensibly finish the job or as much as they can reasonably do right now.
My guess is, after he inevitably opts out, he re-signs for 4/$50-54M, with the 4th season partially guaranteed.

Murray and Mills would have to be the deal and presuming Murray continues to show promise, I could see that being appealing to Suns.
On the one hand, Bledsoe would: upgrade starting PG and complete big 3, ease back court logjam and fit with Leonard's and Aldridge's timeline. On the other hand, Bledsoe would: still leave Spurs without a 2nd best player on a championship team, is 7 years older than Murray, will make tons more for nearly 3 seasons, has a history of knee issues, is athletically reliant and would probably increase odds of maintaining 2nd best in West status more so than truly altering ceiling.

Knowing the Suns, they'll trade Bledsoe for two more point guards.
The Rockets do need a point guard...

Lowry: Interest in joining Spurs was real
http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/spurs/article/Lowry-Interest-in-joining-Spurs-was-real-12299328.php
"It was real for me," Lowry told the Express-News, "but it wasn't real for them. That's a part of the business that people don't know. I would have loved to come here, but it didn't work out. The conversation didn't happen. If the conversation happened, I would tell you. But it didn't happen.
"Not saying that I wanted out, but I did look at teams to see what was going on," said Lowry. "I mean this place would've been a great place."
 Everyone always wants to come here but it never happens par the course

He would have been a great fit. But we'll have to see how everything works out. Dude's not exactly lighting the world on fire so far this season.

I think he's telling the truth based on everything we'd heard since last April/May, but the Spurs weren't interested due to his price tag/age.

To be remembered when that pops up. I am sure he's not the only one. I bet G.Hill also didn't get serious interest.
Anyways, let's just see how this goes. It's only two games, and Mills will play better, as well as Tony hopefully. I won't bitch if guys are playing well and the team is winning... plus Lowry has a long history of playoff choking.
But yea, we are definitely sure that 12:01 Mills was not an accident and neither was Gasol. Spurs weren't stuck with these guys. They wanted these guys.

I don't really like Gasol at the 5 as well.. or the LMA/GAsol to start but we'll see.
I only just recently skimmed through the Bulls game... and one thing I noticed.... the game became a blowout once Pop removed GAsol from the game. Between the traveling violations, the bad passes, the bad shots, etc... he's sinking

this is not the first time he has thrown his mouth piece. thought repeated offenses were suspendible. I Don't care tho if they don't get the suspension. They were going to beat Dallas either way so whatever.

Guys, any timetable for Kawhi's return??
922567976720539650
:lmao T:lolday's NBA.
Durant knows what he meant. Everybody else knows what he meant.
The fact that he's got to flaunt his "rings" argument in the face of fans is even more pathetic, but don't act like you weren't fake-flipping the bird.
If my kid went around doing the same thing to other kids and teachers at school, I'd expect his ass to be sent directly to the principals office. And the "but it's my ring finger" argument wouldn't hold water there.
Guys, any timetable for Kawhi's return??
Still out. No time-table.
The official prognosis, per Pop, is "making progress"
