Obama's AG Eric Holder Has Meltdown After House Declares No Trump-Russia Collusion

https://cdn1.ijr.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/GettyImages-464684708-1024x512.jpg

On Monday night, House Intelligence Committee Republicans announced they have found no evidence that President Donald Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.

“We found no evidence of collusion. We found perhaps some bad judgment, inappropriate meetings,” Rep. Michael Conaway (R-Texas) said.

Trump quickly responded in all caps, saying, “THE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE HAS, AFTER A 14 MONTH LONG IN-DEPTH INVESTIGATION, FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION OR COORDINATION.”

Not everyone was happy about the announcement, however.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder lashed out at House Intelligence Committee Republicans, claiming that it was a “coverup” and that it is a “lasting stain on the reputation of what used to be a bipartisan Committee when it was run by Republican Rogers and Democrat Ruppersberger.” He concluded, “Politics beat a desire for the truth.”

973353188152807424

Holder was referring to Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.) and former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), who were the leaders of the House Intelligence Committee during Obama's time in office and were known for their bipartisanship.

STUNNING: Jeff Sessions Cited the WRONG LAW when He Recused Himself from Russian Witch Hunt – Took Advice From Obama Lawyers

On March 2017 Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced he will recuse himself from investigations related to the 2016 presidential campaign including the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Sessions made the announcement the day after he was sworn in as Attorney General after advice from Obama lawyers in the Department of Justice.

On Wednesday night FOX News contributor and legal expert Gregg Jarrett told Sean Hannity that Sessions used the WRONG LAW when announcing his recusal. He took advice from OBAMA OFFICIALS and they misled him.

Gregg Jarrett: He betrayed the president. He knew when he was sworn in that he was going to recuse himself and the very next day he put the recusal in motion. He never told the president about that. And by the way he cited the regulation in his recusal… He cited the wrong law. It didn’t apply.

Sara Carter: I think he was being advised badly at the time.

Gregg Jarrett: Yeah, by Obama’s holdovers. Who in the world would believe them?

House Republicans said Russia didn’t try to help Trump win the election. Now they’re backtracking.

Republicans may be bowing to public pressure.

Two days ago, the Republican leadership of the

House Intelligence Committee (https://www.vox.com/2018/3/12/17111492/trump-russia-collusion-probe-house-intel-committee) made a startling claim:

The US intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia tried to help President Trump win the White House was flatly wrong.
Now, leading GOP members of the panel — including its chair —

are already walking away from the claim :lol and

grudgingly admitting the Kremlin worked to undermine Hillary Clinton and boost Trump.

The State Department has officially approved a possible $47 million sale of Javelin antitank missiles and related equipment to Ukraine, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

The move marks a significant escalation of lethal aid to Ukraine in its ongoing struggles against Russia.

http://thehill.com/policy/defense/376351-us-approves-sale-of-210-anti-tank-missiles-to-ukraine
RandomGuy how’s this fit with your theory?

This would be enough to debunk it, IMO.

The theory would predict that the State Department would be overruled, as soon as (if) Hushmoney McPussygrabber finds out about it.

If Trump has been compromised, you can bet that Russia will tell him about it, and ask for it to be canceled. Russia may not care about a few sniper rifles, but will care about this, because that will lead directly to Russian military casualties.

Thanks for the info. This is how intelligent people decide what is true using falsifiable theories. We change our minds when presented with new information. I set out the theory, and what would disprove it ahead of time. I don't attach my ego to it, and will be happy to see it go, because it means that Cadet Bone Spurs might stand up to our actual enemies.

Trump fires [Secretary of State]Tillerson

Well, TSA, looks like my theory that Donald Trump has been compromised by the Russians is intact. This theory predicts that he will move to fire or overrule any underling that undertakes material actions inimical to Russian interests.

The criticism and sale of anti-tank weapons that will be used on Russian troops illegally occupying Ukrainian territory would have been a "material action inimical to Russian interests".

How do you explain that every action and statement Trump has made both before and since taking office is consistent with him being compromised?

RandomGuy
03-15-2018, 09:59 AM
Just one question: Do you have a competing conspiracy theory?

Yes or no.

I have a conspiracy theory. Seriously, you and I have been in the trenches on various stupid fucking conspiracy theories for over a decade.

Does mine appear to be holding water? What are the weak points? Strong points?

It bothers me a little, but as time goes on, the circumstantial evidence piles up. For me, even if it isn't true, the concerning thing is that the presidents actions are consistent with it being true, which almost makes it irrelevant, because the harm is almost the same either way. Right?

RandomGuy
03-15-2018, 10:17 AM
1) he said he didnt meet with Sechin and he didn't. Your "proof" even says so. Thats some sorry ass reading comprehension.

2) "misinformation broadly aimed at a variety of voters". LOL no shit sherlock.

Lmao, thats all you got? No golden showers on Obamas bed?

I generally agree Russia's efforts had little overall effect, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. The question is, whether we should put up with active efforts of an intelligence agency of a foreign government to attack the very idea of democracy itself. Western liberal democracy is under threat from authoritarian regimes. That is important.

There is also the matter that the sitting president appears to be actively compromised by that same government.

But then, predicting what Trump will, or won't do is sort of a mugs game. He never fails to do the stupidest shit possible, just when you think he can't be dumber.

The thing about a good theory though, it that it both explains facts, and you can make testable predictions.

Fact 1:
Russia attempted to hack our electoral process through a multi-pronged attack.

Fact 2:
Donald "look how big my inauguration crowd was" Trump has done nothing but deny this even happened, and has gone so far as to take the extraordinary effort to delegitimize his own intelligence services when they something did happen. He has shown no willingness whatsoever to hold Russia to account for anything.

Fact 3:
Donald Trump has a pattern of criticizing anyone, and everyone at the drop of a hat. Allies, enemies, courts, free press, nothing has escaped his remarks and twitter feed, except for ONE/(two) thing(s), and that is Russia/Putin

Fact 4:
Russian efforts appeared designed to support Trump

Fact 5:
Trump directly called on Russia publicly to support his efforts to get elected.

Fact 6:
Donald Trump has gone out of his way to meet and talk with Putin privately in person, with no American witnesses. This is the only leader with which he has acted in this manner.

Fact 7:
Donald Trump, when forced to sign a bipartisan sanctions bill passed with a veto-proof majority of both houses of Congress, issued a signing statement saying most of it was unconstitutional, and that his administration would enforce it as little as possible.

Fact 8:
when Russia retaliated against sanctions by forcing the US embassy to cut staff, Trump thanked Putin for the action, making him look weak, something he has said one should never do, and is inconsistent with his past behavior in any other regard.

Fact 9:
Shortly after State Department appoves some material arms sales to Ukraine and Tillerson directly calls out Russia for using nerve gas in Britain, he is fired.

Theory:
Donald Trump has been compromised in some way. Either he directly owes them money, or they have evidence of some kind of him breaking the law or doing something he does not want others to know about.

This theory explains those facts, and is fully consistent with observed reality.

Prediction:
Donald Trump will take no action personally, nor will he criticize Russia or Putin in any way in regards to the Russian attack on our elections. He may allow his underlings to do some minor, inconsequential stuff, and if forced to do anything by Congress will drag his feet, if not outright attempt to veto any sanctions.

The way to falsify the theory:
1) Trump criticizes Putin/Russia (good)
2) Trump orders/takes action that materially harms Russian interests (definitive)

Bullshit conspiracy theories fail very often because either: they cannot be falsified, or they directly conflict with observed reality. This theory can be falsified, and does not conflict with what we know as fact.

Donald Trump is unpredictable except for Russia.

Feel free to use your open mind to explain this away.

Trash and his mafiya are compromised by Pootin, absolutely no doubt

Trash/mafiya's collusion was at least passive (told by/knew Russians were promoting Trash, attacking Hillary, but didnt tell FBI/CIA) but I'm betting active collusion, like Trash's digital program director, aka Prince Jared, gave demographic data to Mercer's Cambridge Analytics who gave it to Pootin' s hacker army, and maybe others.

It didnt take much of hacker influence, with micro-targeting, to affect WI, MI, PA, all won by tiny fractions of a percent but threw the EC toTrash and America in the Trash pile

PC, but Political Cleansing, where employees are purged for "wrong" politics, and politics trumps experience, professionalism, competence.

Same way Perry polluted TX govt with Repug political hacks replacing professionals.

Traditionally, in most advanced countries, the top of the civil service got replaced, but the meat and potatoes, the workers, were left alone across political administrations.

The American oligarchy has said, fuck that, we've paid for the civil service to fucked up and fucked down to impotence, to our advantage.

Trump and Tillerson also disagreed publicly on the future of the nuclear deal with Iran. “We were not really thinking the same,” Trump said Tuesday about his differences with Tillerson over the agreement. “With Mike, Mike Pompeo, we have a very similar thought process.” Trump had called the agreement “the worst deal in history” and wanted the U.S. to withdraw from it. Tillerson said the deal was flawed, but that it did what it was supposed to: freeze Iran’s nuclear program. He had been working with U.S. allies who are part of the agreement to find a solution to the impasse caused by Trump’s position.

They were also divided on NATO: Trump dismissed it as irrelevant while, early in his presidency, appearing to condition U.S. support for its NATO allies on their defense expenditures. Tillerson tried to soothe the fears this caused within the alliance, which were being exacerbated by Russia’s increasingly muscular foreign policy.

On Qatar, Trump appeared to blame Doha for the impasse with its Gulf neighbors (and for funding terrorism), while Tillerson supported a negotiated settlement among America’s Arab allies—who include Qatar as well as the Saudi and UAE-led coalition pushing to isolate the country.

Tillerson cautioned the president against moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which Trump did anyway; and he wanted the U.S. to stay in the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and the Paris climate accord, both of which Trump withdrew the U.S. from.

Early Tuesday morning, the Washington Post reported that Roger Stone, the Republican dirty trickster and longtime Trump adviser, told an associate in the spring of 2016 that “he had learned from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange that his organization had obtained emails that would torment senior Democrats such as John Podesta, then campaign chairman for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.” This conversation took place “before it was publicly known that hackers had obtained the emails of Podesta and of the Democratic National Committee,” the story also noted.

As Reince Priebus, the former White House chief of staff, told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, Trump pays a great deal of attention to how the daily news narrative evolves. After the Post’s scoop appeared, other news organizations leapt on it, and Stone’s name trended on Twitter. In all likelihood, the Post’s story, with its implication of possible collusion, would have dominated the day in cable news. But once the news of Tillerson’s firing broke, it slipped down the home pages, and Stone dropped off the trending list.

Looks like it may not have been criticism of Russia after all, but a desire not to have the Russia investigation in the news.

TSA can't even say that conflicts of interest are bad. :rollin

1985 was a bad year for many of us.

There were dozens of terrorist attacks in Europe, including some with great significance today.

Here’s a partial refresher.

Euroterrorism in the '80s. US and W. European military, political institutions become targets for new wave of terrorist attacks
The Christian Science Monitor is an international news organization that delivers thoughtful, global coverage via its website, weekly magazine, daily news briefing, and email newsletters.
https://www.csmonitor.com/1985/0125/oscare.html
(2) On April 12, a bomb at the El Descanso Restaurant near Madrid killed 18 and injured 84.

The man behind this attack turned out to be Abu Musab al-Suri, today one of al-Qa’ida top dogs, of wom I have already spoken at length.

saulmontes-bradley.com/the-new-jihad/
(3) On June 14, TWA 847 was hijacked.

A US Navy diver, among the 145 passengers, was murdered and his lifeless body dumped on the tarmac in Algiers.
(4) On September 5th, Pan Am flight 73 was taken over in Karachi.

Pakistani troops stormed the plane 16 hours later, leaving 22 dead and 150 injured.
(5) On Oct/ober 7th, the vermin of Abu Nidal hijacked the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro

They threw wheelchair-bound American Leon Klighoffer overboard.
(6) On November 23, the same Palestinian group hijacked Egypt Air flight 648 in Malta.

Five passengers were shot, and 53 more died when the terrorists blew the plane up on the tarmac.
(7) On December 12th, Arrow Air flight 1285 blew up over Gander, Newfoundland, killing 248 soldiers of the 101st Airborne and 8 crewmembers.

Al-Jihad claimed responsibility the same day. A founding group of al-Qa’ida.

Gander: Terrorism, Incompetence and the Rise of Islamic National Socialism

(8) And that is but a sampler.

Less remembered were the numerous shooting attacks and bombs in cities across Europe.

Most notably, a series on bombs in Paris between Dec 1985 and September 1986 carried out by Hezbollah and Abu Nidal, leaving 20 dead and 200 wounded.
(9) Two of these Hezbollah bombs went off 15 minutes apart at Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, two downtown department stores, favorite among tourists and locals alike.

25 WOUNDED BY BOMBS AT 2 PARIS DEPARTMENT STORES
https://www.nytimes.com/1985/12/08/world/25-wounded-by-bombs-at-2-paris-department-stores.html
(10) The explosions shook nearby hotels sending alarmed tourists running for safety, to encounter the usual chaos of police, fire fighters, ambulances and confused, scared passersby. (Photo 09/86)
(11) One of these so shaken out of their heretofore leisurely holiday was a high school girl from New Jersey on what was to be the trip of her life.

It was, in was she did not yet suspect.
(12) Upon her return to the US, she finished High School, graduated from college, worked as a parole officer in Newark, NJ, and then joined the FBI in 1997.
(13) Law enforcement run in her veins.

Her maternal grandfather, Morris Robbins, was a Newark Police Officer.
(14) Almost immediately after training she was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).

And was there she was when the mother of all terror attacks hit America.
(15) She worked the investigation into 9/11, knee deep in Ground Zero.

Then the Anthrax attacks that followed, the 2002 church bombing in Pakistan, the Daniel Pearl abduction and murder, and many other cases in the US and abroad.
(16) For her work, she received many commendations and, in October 2004, was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) and transferred to the Counterterrorism Division, International Operations Section 1 (ITOS1) and then to the Counterterrorism Internet Unit.
(17) Her work there set new standards.
She organized a massive intelligence production/dissemination at home and overseas on a number of high profile cases; as she established a dynamic liaison with other agencies and governments helping connect the dots throughout the world.
(18) The DOJ called her work “a ground‐breaking initiative which served as a model for future investigations, policies, legislation and FBI programs in the Terrorist Use of the Internet.”
(19) By 2005, she was working in the US, Iraq and Afghanistan…and received commendations by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, LtG. Michael Flynn, and Gen. Keith Alexander, among others for her outstanding job in helping turn the tide in the War on Terror.
(20) In October 2006, she was promoted to Assistant Inspector, Inspection Division, and served until November 2007, when the Counterterrorism Division AD, James McJunkin, requested her return to that unit.
(21) And in November 2007, besting 26 other candidates, she was again promoted to Supervisory Special Agent, Counter Terrorism, Extraterritorial Squad, in the Washington Field Office.
(22) Those of you who read Gander know of the Holy Land Foundation’s terrorist activities raising funds for Hamas.
Yep. She worked that case, too, nabbing a bunch of nasty asswipes.

Some, alas, turned out to be good friends of the Obama administration.

investigativeproject.org/case/65/us-v-h…
(23) She also worked on many high profile cases we all know and remember, with teams in the US and foreign intelligence:

Blackwater, Chuckie Taylor and others and, perhaps most significantly, Robert Levinson.

This guy. Remember him:

(24) Yet again, she was promoted, this time to Unit Chief of the Executive Strategy Unit, Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate (WMDD).

For two years, she cleared the backlog there and implemented a new standard of electronic communications with the Inspection Division.
(25) Then, in 2012, all the years of training and work landed her as Senior Liaison Officer, Joint Duty Detailee position to CIA, Counterterrorism Center (CTC).

She was assigned to Yemen and Somalia just as things were heating up.

dni.gov/nctc/index.html
(26) Her work was to disrupt terrorist operations and plots overseas, especially in Yemen and Somalia, and to conduct overseas investigations.

The job she was made for.

And while she was “on loan” to the CIA, her problems at the FBI begun.
(27) You see, she always took her assignments to heart.

Failure was not an option.

And she continued to pursue the kidnapping of Bob Levinson, even though she received ever increasing pushback from political hacks and pencil pushers.
Especially from one we know well:
(28) Her persistence was not welcomed.

The Obama administration was busy trying to hammer down a deal with Iran at any cost, and the life of one American more or less (in fact, four) was not going to get in the way.
(29) She was ordered to stand down, and was told that “he is surely dead by now."

He was not, and still is not.

But her requests were systematically denied and things went South.
(30) If she was not going to back down, and her work bothered our "partners in Iran" she had to be removed.

Thus, without further ado, in July of 2012, she was pulled back from her assignment at the CIA, placed in menial positions while a bullsh*t file was opened against her.
(31) She was accused of fooling around with time cards in the FBI…at a time when she was reporting to the CIA, not the FBI. Oops!

For 12 months, she was harassed and discriminated against, affecting her professionally, economically and even her health.
(32) These relentless effort to push her aside ended with her resignation in August of 2013.

In the process, at least 24 laws, policies and regulations were broken by her superiors in order to push her out.
(33) For example, at one time they filed an unsigned performance report, written by a person with whom she had had no contact in over three months and against whom she had filed a complaint.

Despite flagrant contradictions, it is the only negative report in her 16 year career.
(34) It mattered not.

Some of the names of these singular people we already know.
AD Andrew McCabe and DAD Jennifer Ley, among others.

In fact, the internal investigation against her was initiated AFTER Ley told McCabe that she intended to file a complaint against her superior.
(35) It’s time I tell you who this agent was who sacrificed her life, her marriage and her career for refusing to let Bob Levinson behind.

You mey have read previous threads on her.

Meet SSA Robyn Gritz.:
(36) “I first learned of the issues that led to Ms. Gritz’s current OPR investigation during a telephone call with Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) Jennifer Ley on June 19, 2012,” McCabe later testified.
(37) “I recalled that during the course of our conversation DAD Ley mentioned to me that Ms. Gritz had filed or intended to file an EEO complaint against her immediate supervisor.” Continued the notorious perjurer (Ask the Senate Intel Committee)
(38) In contrast, what did HONEST people have to say about her work spanning 16 years of service?

“If I were taken hostage, I would hope that above all others, SSA Robyn Gritz were assigned the task to track and recover me.”
Brian L. Losey, Rear Admiral, USN COMNAVSPECWARCOM
(39) “I have recently been informed of the administrative actions being taken against Robyn. I am shocked and saddened that individuals have gone to excessive lengths to either darken or destroy her character…
(40) Her professionalism, strength, and integrity may be found intimidating by those of lesser character, but one thing is certain — Robyn is a woman of integrity.”
Hermann G. Hasken III, US DoD, Senior Cyber Advisor to DIA Headquarters and US Cyber Command.
(41) "I salute [Robyn] for her valuable service to her nation ... as [we] worked together to resolve crises that affected American families, our counterterrorism strategy, and national security..."
Erik Rye, DoS’s Advisor for Hostage Affairs, Coordinator for Counterterrorism
(42)“Robyn was critical in bringing the FBI perspective into focus and balancing FBI equities with the interagency at large. Part of those results became a National Policy for personnel recovery signed in December 2008 and a good measure of that to achieve DOJ signature...
(43) was because of how adept Robyn is at working with her contemporaries across agency lines...”
Lt. Col. DANIEL J. Baumgartner Jr
Senior Analyst, Personnel Recovery Policy, Office of the Deputy Assistance Secretary of Defense for Prisoners of War and Missing
(44) “I have known SSA Robyn Gritz for nearly a decade and I had the honor and privilege of serving with her from 2004 to 2007 in Iraq and Afghanistan executing counter-terrorism operations. SSA Gritz was a resourceful and resilient leader who consistently delivered results ...
(45) under pressure and was an effective and collaborative team member and team builder ... Her level of commitment and passion for her work consistently made a positive difference.”
Michael T. Flynn, Lt. Gen. USA, Director, DIA.
(46) Now, here we are.
A committed patriot who gave her all to protect us all and whose expertise in fighting terrorism is second to none. A respected and admired professional across a number of law enforcement, military and intelligence agencies in the US and abroad...
(47) A woman who, from the days she faced the consequences of terrorist attacks as a teenager on holiday has dedicated her life and sacrificed all to the service of our nation…
(48) Tossed aside, harrassed and abused by the same cabal that perverted the FBI, lied, fabricated evidence and used the government resources to destroy anything and anybody in pursuit of their political aims and subvert our democratic system.
(49) A woman they made SURE could not work in her field of expertise and who was forced to spend all her resources fighting the full power of the US government through years of delays, malfeasance and chicanery.

Her valuable talents wasted in menial jobs.

Adam Schiff doesn’t even know if Prince lied what information are you privy too that Schiff isn’t?
As Prince told it, he was meeting with the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates to discuss topics including Middle East tensions and bauxite mining when the prince’s brother casually suggested that he go downstairs to chat with “this Russian guy.”

Prince never mentioned a role for Nader in arranging the meeting with Dmitriev. He also said he had no knowledge of a meeting in New York the month before between a U.A.E. delegation and Steve Bannon, who was then Trump’s top strategist, as well as Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and incoming National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Mueller May be Forced to Indict Trump

Many politicians and pundits are opining that the public may never know the truth about possible wrongdoings by now-President Donald Trump until they read Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s report, but most don’t realize how unlikely the public release of any such report is.

Mueller is bound by current Justice Department [DoJ] regulations which make any release – much less a release to the public – of any such report very unlikely.

So Mueller may have to obtain an indictment against Trump, and include the details of Trump’s alleged wrongdoing in the text of the indictment, for this information to become public.

an indictment may be the only way for Mueller to ensure that the information sees the light of day.

But Starr was able to do this because he had been appointed independent counsel under a statute which not only permitted but required that he submit to Congress a report if he found any “evidence which might warrant impeachment”;

a very broad and vaguely defined category of offenses which might not even constitute crimes, much less crimes which could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The special statute under which Starr had been appointed has long since expired, and

Mueller was appointed special counsel by Rosenstein under DoJ regulations which also bind him as special counsel.

These DoJ regulations do not require or even permit a public report from Mueller.

Instead, they make it very difficult for any such findings to become public.

I have a brief statement for the record. There is nothing that the president takes more seriously than the security of the American people. The story that came out tonight as reported is false. The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation.

At no time, at no time, where intelligent sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the Secretary of the State, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Their on the record accounts should outweigh anonymous sources. I was in the room. It didn't happen.

Tillerson cautioned the president against moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which Trump did anyway; and he wanted the U.S. to stay in the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and the Paris climate accord, both of which Trump withdrew the U.S. from.

Well well well....looks like we finally know now why Judge Contreras was recused, he and Peter Strzok were buddies.

New Text Msgs Reveal FBI Agent was Friends with Judge in Flynn Case

ewly redacted text messages discovered by congressional investigators reveal that an embattled FBI agent at the center of the Russia investigation controversy was close friends with a District of Columbia judge who recused himself from the criminal case over former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, congressional members said, and text documents show.

The never before seen text messages, which were a part of the texts given to congress by the Department of Justice, show that FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour FBI attorney Lisa Page discussed Strzok’s relationship with U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras, who presided over a Dec. 1, 2017 hearing where former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Strzok was removed from Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel’s Office last year after anti-Trump text messages between him and his FBI agent lover were discovered by the DOJ’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz. But on Dec. 7, without warning, Judge Rudolph Contreras was removed as the presiding judge on Flynn’s case. Little information was given at the time as to why Contreras was removed.

DOJ officials did not immediately respond for comment.

In a text message chain from Page to Strzok on July, 25, 2016 she writes, “Rudy is on the FISC! Did you know that? Just appointed two months ago.” At that point, the pair continues to discuss other issues but comes back to Contrares, “I did. We talked about it before and after. I need to get together with him.” Then later Strzok appears to return to his discussion about Contreras.

Page: “Thought of it because you had to Google FISC judges and him there. I’m telling you.”

Strzok: “….She brought up a good point about being circumspect in talking to him in terms of not placing him into a situation where he’d have to recuse himself.”

Page: “I can’t imagine you either one of you could talk about anything in detail meaningful enough to warrant recusal.” Page then goes back to discussing a different issue saying, “Anyway, maybe you meant to, but didn’t.’

Strzok: “Really? Rudy. I’m in charge of espionage for the FBI. Any espionage FISA comes before him, what should he do? Given his friend oversees them?”

Page: “Standards for recusal are quite high. I just don’t think this poses an actual conflict. And he doesn’t know what you do?”

Strzok: “Generally he does know what I do. Not the level or scope or area but he’s super thoughtful and rigorous about ethics and conflicts.

Tillerson cautioned the president against moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which Trump did anyway; and he wanted the U.S. to stay in the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and the Paris climate accord, both of which Trump withdrew the U.S. from.

Trump won’t be able to buy his way out of trouble this time

Over the years, Donald Trump honed what seemed like a foolproof method for bad behavior with few consequences: Bully and buy your way out of trouble.

But this approach doesn’t work for presidents.

Alas for Trump, presidents can’t impose such agreements (https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-cant-legally-make-new-staff-sign-ndasyet) on their aides or, increasingly in the case of this administration, former aides.

And the gusher of departures increasingly and exponentially raises the risk for Trump. Some of them are going to start to talk — yes, even more than they did, anonymously, when they still worked for him.

most recently and ignominiously Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, dumped in a manner (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/global-opinions/trump-humiliates-rex-tillerson-for-the-last-time/2018/03/13/ac8028c6-26ce-11e8-bc72-077aa4dab9ef_story.html?utm_term=.706927fa934f) calculated to impose maximum humiliation.

If you fire the guy by tweet before you deign to pick up the phone to tell him yourself, don’t be surprised if he turns around and spills the beans on you and your administration.

Some of them deserved the kick to the curb of Pennsylvania Avenue, but that’s not the point.

The point is that they can’t be stopped from talking.

he has little to no leverage to silence the administration officials he has treated so badly — and he knows it.

Marla Maples, threatened (http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/news/chatty-marla-1-5m-trump-article-1.856564) “to tell the people what he is really like,” Trump countered by withholding a $1.5 million alimony payment, although he eventually backed down.

Cabinet officials don’t sign prenups.

Alleged mobster Felix Sater ‘told family he knows he and POTUS are going to prison’

https://www.rawstory.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Felix-Sater-and-Donald-Trump-screengrab-from-BBC-Panorama.png

one of Donald Trump’s shadiest former business partners, is reportedly preparing for prison time — and he says the president will be joining him behind bars.

Trump recently made remarks that could point to a money laundering scheme, Wood reported.

“I mean, it’s possible there’s a condo or something, so, you know, I sell a lot of condo units, and somebody from Russia buys a condo, who knows?” the president said.

Sater, who has a long history of legal troubles (https://thinkprogress.org/https-thinkprogress-org-felix-sater-news-bad-for-trump-99e4ebe9a1ad/) and is cooperating with law enforcement,

was one of the major players responsible for selling Trump’s condos to the Russians.

And according to Wood’s sources, Sater may have already flipped and given prosecutors the evidence they need to make a case against Trump.

For several weeks there have been rumours that Sater is ready to rat again, agreeing to help Mueller.

‘He has told family and friends he knows he and POTUS are going to prison,’

someone talking to Mueller’s investigators informed me.

Sater hinted in an interview earlier this month that he may be cooperating with both Mueller’s investigation and congressional probes of Trump.

no clue about their procedure regarding what they do/dont redact

what i do know is that strzok was already off the counsel's team back in the summer, the indictment came in november, guilty plea in december (judges basically rubber stamp guilty pleas, its the prosecutors who negotiate them, you know that), and then after the judge learned his friend was on the case and was kicked out via media report, he recused himself.

Vanessa Trump hires criminal defense lawyer in divorce from Donald Trump Jr.: Report

Vanessa Trump has hired a criminal defense lawyer to represent her in her divorce from President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

Vanessa Trump filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday.

Page Six reported Friday that Trump has hired New York-based lawyer David Feureisen amid reports that special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed Trump Organization in his investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.
