GOP Senate chair: Jared Kushner didn’t disclose Wikileaks emails about Russia

A “Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite” were left out of documents that Jared Kushner’s lawyer handed over

The top-ranking members of the Senate Judiciary Committee said on Thursday that President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared

Kushner had not turned over emails about Wikileaks and

a "Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite" and

demanded that Kushner now produce them.
In a letter to Kushner's attorney, Abbe Lowell, committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., wrote that

based off of other documents provided to the panel by other witnesses, Kushner had not disclosed "several documents that are known to exist,"

and demanded they be turned over, the Washington Post reported (https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/senate-judiciary-panel-kushner-had-contacts-about-wikileaks-russian-overtures-he-did-not-disclose/2017/11/16/402586b4-cb05-11e7-8321-481fd63f174d_story.html?tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.25abe2bea9d6).

"You also have not produced any phone records that we presume exist and would relate to Mr. Kushner’s communications,"

Grassley and Feinstein wrote in the letter.

The documents Kushner failed to disclose include a series of "September 2016 email communications to Mr. Kushner concerning WikiLeaks," that Kushner then forwarded to another campaign official, the Post reported.

The details of those communications, or what was discussed in regards to Wikileaks, is not clear at the moment.

However, the news comes as it was revealed this week that Donald Trump Jr. and the organization had exchanged direct messages (https://www.salon.com/2017/11/14/is-donald-trump-jr-truly-not-that-bright-its-time-to-start-asking/) through Twitter during the campaign.

But Kushner, who has already established (https://www.salon.com/2017/04/07/jared-kushner-hid-dozens-of-meetings-with-russians-from-his-application-for-top-secret-security-clearance/) a track record for not disclosing the requested information,

also did not turn over "documents concerning a 'Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite,'" which he had forwarded to other campaign officials, the Post reported.

Kushner was also made privy to "communications with Sergei Millian" a Belarusan American who claims to have close ties to Trump and was a source on the dossier containing lewd details about the president, the panel leaders said, according to the Post.

The panel leaders informed Kushner he had until Nov. 27 to produce what they were looking for, however, there was no threat to subpoena the information if he failed to cooperate.

The Senate panel is also seeking transcripts from Kushner's interviews he previously had with members of the Senate and House intelligence committees.

https://www.salon.com/2017/11/16/gop-senate-chair-jared-kushner-didnt-disclose-wikileaks-emails-about-russia/

the noose tightens.

Supposed ‘coffee boy’ George Papadopoulos boasted Trump gave him ‘blank check’ for future job

a “coffee boy” by Trump allies — once bragged to foreign reporters that Trump had given him a “blank check” to pick his own job within the White House.

Politico reports (https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/17/george-papadopoulos-trump-greece-russia-245668) that Papadopoulos boasted to Greek journalists last year that he was given the power”to choose a senior Trump administration job” and was also “authorized to represent the candidate in overseas meetings with foreign leaders.”

The two Greek reporters who spoke with Politico expressed skepticism that Papadopoulos really had all of the power that he claimed, as the former campaign aide was known to exaggerate his status.

All the same, Papadopoulos’ boasts do undermine the Trump administration narrative that he was simply a low-level staffer who had no clout or significance to the larger campaign.

Trump’s Business of Corruption

What secrets will Mueller find when he investigates the President’s foreign deals?

It would be impossible to gain a full understanding of the various points of contact between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign without scrutinizing many of the deals that Trump has made in the past decade. Trump-branded buildings in Toronto and the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan were developed in association with people who have connections to the Kremlin.

Other real-estate partners of the Trump Organization—in Brazil, India, Indonesia, and elsewhere—are now caught up in corruption probes, and,

collectively, they suggest that the company had a pattern of working with partners who exploited their proximity to political power.

One foreign deal, a stalled 2011 plan to build a Trump Tower in Batumi, a city on the Black Sea in the Republic of Georgia, has not received much journalistic attention.

But the deal, for which Trump was reportedly paid a million dollars, involved unorthodox financial practices that several experts described to me as “red flags” for bank fraud and money laundering; moreover, it intertwined his company with a Kazakh oligarch who has direct links to Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin.

As a result, Putin and his security services have access to information that could put them in a position to blackmail Trump.

Looks like I am not the only one to notice.

The Kremlin Defense Fund

Russian money might have gone to Trump’s legal fees.

http://www.slate.com/content/dam/slate/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2017/11/has_russian_money_gone_to_trump_s_legal_defense/VIETNAMAPECSUMMIT.jpeg.CROP.promo-xlarge2.jpeg

Just this week, we’ve learned that the FBI is now looking into dozens of money transfers (https://www.buzzfeed.com/jasonleopold/secret-finding-60-russian-payments-to-finance-election?utm_term=.snd3QAdzj%22%20%5Cl%20%22.ceyeo 10xr%22%20%5Ct%20%22_blank) sent by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to its embassies across the globe, totaling more than $380,000 and bearing the subject line “to finance election campaign of 2016.”

One avenue that has gone relatively unexplored is the money flowing directly to candidates, including the president.

Which brings us to a troubling question: Is Russian money helping to pay for the legal defense of the president and his family against allegations they colluded with Russia?

the Republican National Committee has paid more than $400,000 in personal legal fees for Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr. in connection with the investigations into the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with Russia in the 2016 election. At least $12,000 of those funds came from a Ukrainian-born billionaire with ties to Vladimir Putin.

He was never granted a full clearance only a temporary one which means they already found major problems. His temporary one will be revoked. He lied about plenty so of course it takes adjudicators a while. It normally takes 4 to 5 months for a Federal clearance for a civilian. They aren't done finding shit he lied about on it.

House intel committee member slams Sessions and promises ‘People will be indicted, people are going to jail’

a lawmaker who has been deeply involved in the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian influence with White House officials bluntly “went on the record” and declared, “People are going to jail.”

Speaking with the MSNBC host, Rep. Denny Heck (D-WA) got right to the point when it came to what he heard after testimony from

GPS founder Glenn Simpson about Trump and the Russians despite

Simpson reportedly refusing to answer key questions (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/11/15/fusion-gps-briefed-media-on-trump-russia-claims-in-summer-2016-but-did-not-verify-dossier-source.html) from lawmakers during his seven-hour, closed-door appearance.“Alex, I left that meeting thinking I had just spent the most unbelievable — I don’t know how many hours we were in there together — it was many that I have thus far in this year,” Heck began with a smile.

“Look, I’m going to take you back to something I said, I think on your program in the spring, that was a little controversial at the time, but I’m going to reiterate it today: people are going to go to jail” he statedbefore repeating himself to get his point across,

“People are going to go to jail and, in fact, when I said that, I came in for some criticism for it. But now of course we’ve seen several indictments.”

Trump paying own legal fees raises ethical questions

After several months of the Republican Party picking up the tab, the president started paying in order to make things “even,”

Trump’s attorney John Dowd confirmed on Friday to Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-lawyers/trump-starts-paying-his-own-legal-bills-on-russia-probe-attorneys-idUSKBN1DH2FR?feedType=RSS&feedName=politicsNews).

The payments are for Trump’s personal lawyers who are helping him navigate the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and whether he obstructed justice by firing former FBI Director James Comey in May.

But it’s not just his own legal bills that he’s paying—Trump has also

established a legal fund that pays for staffers who are also involved in the investigation,

a method that has caught attention from the Office of Government Ethics.

There is no law that bars the president from giving gifts and money to his staffers, but

in the face of a tricky investigation, this case raises questions of whether Trump’s financial help will influence staffer’s testimonies,

said Walter Shaub, former head of the ethics office.

White House lawyer Ty Cobb says (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-11-17/trump-to-pay-his-own-legal-bills-set-up-fund-to-cover-staff) that President Trump is well aware of the ethical questions that arise with the arrangement. :lol and doesn't GAF :lol

Jared Kushner appears to have lied to Congress about Trump campaign's contact with Wikileaks (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/11/19/1717046/-Jared-Kushner-appears-to-have-lied-to-Congress-about-Trump-campaign-s-contact-with-Wikileaks)

from Paul Manafort to Donald Trump Jr. to son-in-law and dullard golden boy Jared Kushner,

each of the top players has been caught lying about those actions in demonstrable, specific ways (http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/11/kushner-may-have-withheld-even-more-key-information-from-congress/#).

Jared Kushner may have a new problem regarding his testimony in the Trump-Russia scandal.

Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, told Capitol Hill investigators that he did not know of any contacts between the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to his lawyer Abbe Lowell.

But new evidence suggests that Kushner was told of such a contact when Donald Trump Jr. in September 2016 informed Kushner that he had exchanged messages with WikiLeaks.

So he lied.

Junior told him, during the campaign, that he'd been communicating with the organization that had been releasing the hacked emails of the opposing campaign—

one of the biggest news stories in America at the time.

Jared somehow managed to forget this key and remarkable event during his own testimony,

when questioned over whether this very exact event happened.

That seems .... implausible.

They are all fucking guilty because they are all fucking lying in huge coverup.

KGB started watching Trump in 1977 and made first move to recruit him as an asset in 1986: report

Trash was first approached by Russian operatives in 1987 when the man who would go on to become Soviet ambassador Yuri Dubinin opened discussions with Trump about a Moscow real estate project.

However, according to a Politico report published Sunday (https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/11/19/trump-first-moscow-trip-215842), Trump appeared on Soviet spy agency the KGB’s radar nearly a decade earlier when he married Czech model Ivana Zelnickova.

“During the Cold War, Czech spies were known for their professionalism. Czech and Hungarian officers were typically used in espionage actions abroad, especially in the United States and Latin America. They were less obvious than Soviet operatives sent by Moscow,”

Because of her country of origin, Soviet and U.S. intelligence agencies would be routinely monitoring the woman who became Ivana Trump and her new husband, but the first attempt to activate Trump as a Russian asset came when Natalia Dubinin brought her father Yuri to Trump Tower.

In the late 1980s, the Soviet Union was moving to cultivate non-traditional assets in the U.S., leaving aside the communist rallies and trade unions of mid-century Cold War spycraft.

Recruiters were urged to look for people susceptible to money and flattery :lol

and the newly minted Manhattan real estate baron fit the bill.

In January of 1987, Dubinin invited Trump to Moscow, which intelligence agencies now view as a “classic cultivation exercise.”

In Moscow, Trump was reportedly showered with luxuries and “lavish hospitality,” said Harding.

“Everything is free.

There are good parties with nice girls.

It could be a sauna and girls and who knows what else,” said former KGB — and its successor the GRU — agent Viktor Suvorov.

All premises Trump visited on the trip would have been under “24-hour control” and surveillance.

“The interest is only one,” Suvorov explained. “To collect some information and keep that information about him for the future.”

The Hidden History of Trump’s First Trip to Moscow

It was around this time that Donald Trump appears to have attracted the attention of Soviet intelligence.

Trump's first visit to Soviet Moscow in 1987 looks, with hindsight, to be part of a pattern.

The dossier by the former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele asserts that the Kremlin had been cultivating Trump for “at least five years” before his stunning victory in the 2016 US presidential election. This would take us back to around 2011 or 2012.

In fact, the Soviet Union was interested in him too, three decades earlier. The top level of the Soviet diplomatic service arranged his 1987 Moscow visit. With assistance from the KGB.

The PR Line—that is, the Political Intelligence Department stationed in KGB residencies abroad—was given explicit instructions to find “U.S. targets to cultivate or, at the very least, official contacts.” “The main effort must be concentrated on acquiring valuable agents,”

One solution was to make wider use of “the facilities of friendly intelligence services”—for example, Czechoslovakian or East German spy networks.

The most revealing section concerned kompromat.

The document asked for:

“Compromising information about subject,

including illegal acts in financial and commercial affairs, intrigues, speculation, bribes, graft … and exploitation of his position to enrich himself.”

Plus “any other information” that would compromise the subject before “the country’s authorities and the general public.”

Naturally the KGB could exploit this by threatening “disclosure.”

Finally, “his attitude towards women is also of interest.” The document wanted to know: “Is he in the habit of having affairs with women on the side?”

When did the KGB open a file on Donald Trump? We don’t know, but Eastern Bloc security service records suggest this may have been as early as 1977. That was the year when

Trump married Ivana Zelnickova, a twenty-eight-year-old model

from Czechoslovakia. Zelnickova was a citizen of a communist country.

She was therefore of interest both to the Czech intelligence service, the StB, and to the FBI and CIA.

As Trump tells it, the idea for his first trip to Moscow came after he found himself seated next to the Soviet ambassador Yuri Dubinin. This was in autumn 1986;

“One thing led to another, and now I’m talking about building a large luxury hotel, across the street from the Kremlin, in partnership with the Soviet government.”

(https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/11/19/trump-first-moscow-trip-215842)“It’s at this point you say:

‘Knock, knock!

Do you remember the marvelous time in Moscow?

It was a wonderful evening.

You were so drunk.

You don’t remember?

We just show you something for your good memory.’” :lol

Inside Donald Trump’s One-Stop Parties: Attendees Recall Cocaine and Very Young Models

‘I was there to party myself. It was guys with younger girls, sex, a lot of sex, a lot of cocaine, top-shelf liquor’ but no smoking. Trump didn’t approve of cigarettes.

The morals of Donald J. Trump (https://www.thedailybeast.com/content/dailybeast/features/2016/donald-trump.html), as a longtime model lover and then a modeling agency owner, were forged in another era, one in which young girls were used as a sort of currency between men doing business with one another.
It’s not a time that Trump, who once blew up gossip reporters’ phones to dish on his own sexual exploits, real and imagined

several men who attended those parties at the Plaza Hotel emerged to share scandalous specifics about Trump’s presence and behavior at events where illegal drugs and young women were passed around and used.

I’ve been covering Trump since 1985, when I worked for The New York Times’ women’s pages.

He endorsed one of my books, about real estate, and was a character in two more of them.

He talked to me about sex and substances

and the substance of the arena in which he made his name, real estate. I published all of it.

In 1999, he told me that in 1995 he’d been worth about negative $900 million.

I didn’t have the chops to think to ask for his tax returns (https://www.thedailybeast.com/content/dailybeast/articles/2016/10/03/art-of-the-steal-this-is-how-trump-lost-916m-and-avoided-tax.html).

I also wrote a book about the modeling industry and heard stories about Trump but didn’t write them because he wasn’t important in it, just another

rich guy buying a date farm, perhaps for his friends, perhaps for himself.

This wasn’t pejorative, just how things were.

The Billionaire Pedophile Who Could Bring Down Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

a lurid new lawsuit accused Trump of raping one of Epstein’s girls himself.

Epstein’s little black book (http://gawker.com/here-is-pedophile-billionaire-jeffrey-epsteins-little-b-1681383992) and flight logs (http://gawker.com/flight-logs-put-clinton-dershowitz-on-pedophile-billio-1681039971) read like a virtual Who’s Who:

Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Larry Summers, Kevin Spacey, Prince Andrew (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/01/21/royal-shock-i-had-an-orgy-with-prince-andrew-8-girls.html), and Naomi Campbell all hitched rides on Epstein’s private planes.

Socialites and distinguished scientists went to visit Epstein’s island in St. Thomas, and cavorted at epic dinner parties (http://nymag.com/nymag/features/n_8672/index2.html) at his palatial townhouse

the pack of very, very young model-types with whom Epstein always seemed to surround himself.

Epstein was convicted of soliciting sex from an underage girl (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2010/07/20/jeffrey-epstein-billionaire-pedophile-goes-free.html)

another “Jane Doe” filed a suit in New York accusing Epstein and Donald Trump of raping her at a series of sex parties when she was only 13.

Trump has denied Jane Doe’s claims and his reps have said he barely knew Epstein—even though New York media in the ’90s regularly chronicled his comings-and-goings at Epstein’s Upper East Side palace, and even though Epstein had 14 private numbers for Trump and his family in his little black book.

The Times detailed how the Clinton Foundation had received millions in donations from investors in Uranium One.
The donations from those with ties to Uranium One weren’t publicly disclosed by the Clinton Foundation, even though Hillary Clinton had an agreement with the White House that the foundation would disclose all contributors. Days after the Times story, the foundation acknowledged that it “made mistakes,” saying it had disclosed donations from a Canadian charity, for instance, but not the donors to that charity who were associated with the uranium company.
The Times also wrote that Bill Clinton spoke at a conference in Moscow on June 29, 2010 — which was after the Rosatom-Uranium One merger was announced in June 2010, but before it was approved by the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States in October 2010. The Russian-based Renaissance Capital Group organized the conference and paid Clinton $500,000.
Renaissance Capital has “ties to the Kremlin” and its analysts “talked up Uranium One’s stock, assigning it a ‘buy’ rating and saying in a July 2010 research report that it was ‘the best play’ in the uranium markets,” the Times wrote.
But there is no evidence that the donations or the speaking fee had any influence on the approvals granted by the NRC or the Committee on Foreign Investments.

Perkins Coie, the law firm that represented the Clinton campaign and DNC, paid Fusion a total of $1,024,408 between May 24, 2016 and Dec. 28, 2016, the records show.

The largest payment was made just before the election. Perkins Coie made a $365,275 payment to Fusion GPS on Oct. 28, 2016, according to the records.

A payment made to Fusion in late-December is later than previously thought.

The transaction list does not show payments that Fusion made to Christopher Steele, the former British spy who wrote the dossier. The firm reportedly paid Steele a total of $168,000 for his work, which lasted from June 2016 until the election.

The records show that Fusion was also paid $523,651 by the law firm BakerHostetler between March 7, 2016 and Oct. 31, 2016.

Fusion worked for BakerHostetler to investigate Bill Browder, a London-based banker who helped push through the Magnitsky Act, a sanctions law vehemently opposed by the Kremlin.

BakerHostetler represented Prevezon Holdings and its owner, a Russian businessman named Denis Katsyv.

Katsyv and Prevezon sought to limit the impact of the Magnitsky sanctions.

Glenn Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal reporter and Fusion GPS founding partner, compiled the research for the anti-Browder project. He worked closely with Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who also showed up at the infamous Trump Tower meeting held on June 9, 2016.

Simpson’s research ended up in the Trump Tower meeting in the form of a four-page memo carried by Veselnitskaya. She also shared Simpson’s work with Yuri Chaika, the prosecutor general of Russia.

Simpson told the House Intelligence Committee earlier this week that he did not know that Veselnitskaya provided the Browder information to Chaika or to Donald Trump Jr., the Trump campaign’s point-man in the Trump Tower meeting.

Simpson testified that he did not know that Veselnitskaya had visited Trump Tower until it was reported in the press earlier this year.

Fusion GPS paid journalists, court papers confirm

Newly filed court documents confirm that Fusion GPS, the company mostly responsible for the controversial “Trump dossier” on presidential candidate Donald Trump, made payments to three journalists between June 2016 until February 2017.

The revelation could be a breakthrough for House Republicans, who are exploring whether Fusion GPS used the dossier, which was later criticized for having inaccurate information on Trump, to feed anti-Trump stories to the press during and after the presidential campaign. The three journalists who were paid by Fusion GPS are known to have reported on "Russia issues relevant to [the committee's] investigation," the House Intelligence Committee said in a court filing.

But the recipients' names, the amounts, and purposes of those payments were either redacted from the documents that Fusion GPS filed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia or were not disclosed.

Fusion has asked the court to issue a restraining order against the House committee, which is demanding documents from the company that, among other things, explain the payments it made to reporters. Most of the documents sought are banking records.

One of the documents filed by the company this week was an affidavit from one of Fusion GPS’s co-founders, Peter Fritsch. That affidavit said, in part, “[The House Intelligence Committee] has also demanded records related to transactions between Fusion GPS and certain journalists — i.e., Request Nos. 66, 68-69, 107-112. Those requested records involve transactions that are not pertinent to work related to Russia or Donald Trump.”

The numbered “requests” correspond to a list of payments made by Fusion GPS being examined by the committee, which was also among the documents filed Tuesday, although the list was heavily redacted.

Fusion GPS didn't deny that some payments went to reporters, but argues that these payments were made to help the company with research.

“Fusion GPS is a research firm set up by former investigative journalists,” Fusion GPS’s lawyer, Josh Levy, said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. “As such, it sometimes works with contractors that have specialized skills seeking public information. Contractors are not permitted to publish any articles based on that work, and Fusion GPS does not pay journalists to write stories.”

Levy also dismissed the Republican idea that these payments were somehow aimed at or otherwise used to help get anti-Trump stories written by the press.

"This is simply another desperate attempt by the president’s political allies to discredit Fusion GPS's work and divert attention from the question these committees are supposed to be investigating: the Trump campaign's knowledge of Russian interference in the election," Levy said.

But House Republicans still have their doubts. One of the documents filed by lawyers for the House Intelligence Committee said each of the three reporters who received payments had written about the Russia probe, which could indicate that reporters were using Fusion GPS's work to write their stories.

“Additionally, the Committee seeks transactions related to three individual journalists, [names redacted], each of whom have reported on and/or been quoted in articles regarding topics related to the Committee's investigation, some of which were published as recently as October 2017," the committee wrote.

Additionally, a filing by lawyers for the House Intelligence Committee asserts that Fusion GPS “brokered meetings for dossier author Christopher Steele with at least five major media outlets in September 2016, including Yahoo news.”

How did Trump collude with Putin to steal the election? What do you think really happened? Be specific.

I think the Steele dossier is broadly accurate, as it has proven so far.

Russian intelligence has compromised Donald Trump in some way, and Crooked Donny knows this.

As noted in the dossier, there has been a concerted effort on the part of Russian intelligence services to recruit assets for decades, as they have always done.

Specifically, I think they have given Trump a list of people they find "acceptable" for certain posts, with the criteria "acceptable" being that these people are either Russia-friendly or the Russians have leverage on them. This would explain how so many people in Trumps orbit just "happen" to have Russian ties.

Below Trump there was data flowing back and forth, again outlined fairly clearly in the dossier.

Putin wanted information on Russian oligarchs investments and activities in the US, which he probably got. A minor thing. The other data that Putin's intelligence services got was voter data, which was used as part of their disinformation campaign. Bullshit weaponized.

Stupid motherfuckers like yourself are like immuno-compromised people when it comes to this bullshit. Confirmation bias writ large. You will believe any stupid shit that comes down the pike about Democrats, especially Hillary.

Trump used Facebooks own targeting algorithms to get this stuff into the feeds of just enough, and the bullshit-believing right-wing spammed it all over the place, in viral waves. No small part of their targeting was driven by data from the Republicans.

They only needed to swing a tiny fraction of a very split electorate, which they did.

Republican voter suppression efforts + Russian disinformation.

It isn't that difficult to understand.

Specifically, we have multiple meetings where this information was discussed at the highest levels of the Trump campaign, with Trumps own family in on it, as well as his campaign manager, Manafort.

I think a lot of what got released by Wikileaks was given to them by Russian intelligence.

Mueller set a legal trap to prevent Trump from pardoning Flynn: ex-prosecutor

This week’s news indicate Flynn and his lawyers no longer believe Trump will pardon the disgraced national security adviser or his son Mike Flynn Jr., or

that they believe the father-son duo could be convicted of state crimes beyond the reach of a pardon, Mariotti tweeted.

“A deal for Flynn would likely mean that Mueller would accept a guilty plea to a single felony charge and would potentially recommend a reduced sentence depending on the extent of his cooperation,” Mariotti said.

“It is unlikely to result in complete immunity.”

The former prosecutor said cooperating witnesses are required to answer all questions on all subjects related to the investigation, so Flynn could lengthen the special counsel probe.

“Trump lawyer Ty Cobb’s prediction that the entire investigation could wrap up shortly after the new year is looking worse by the minute,”

‘All because Trump fired Comey’: Cuomo guest explains GOP fears ‘huge’ Mueller finding just before midterms

... Michael Flynn may have flipped on President Donald Trump (https://www.rawstory.com/2017/11/bombshell-report-offers-clearest-evidence-yet-mueller-has-flipped-flynn/), Washington Examiner reporter David Drucker said Republicans worry that that the Mueller investigation may be so huge now that it could bleed well into 2018.

Russian TV Editor Says Kremlin Ordered Clinton Takedown

A former television news editor for Russian state media outlet Rossiya says that the Kremlin used to call and give instructions about how to cover Hillary Clinton during the 2016 U.S. election.

“Sometimes it was a phone call. Sometimes it was a conversation,” Dimitri Skorobutov told (https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/russian-journalist-explains-how-the-kremlin-instructed-him-to-cover-the-2016-election) The New Yorker Thursday.

“If Donald Trump has a successful press conference, we broadcast it for sure.

And if something goes wrong with Clinton, we underline it.”

“Me and my colleagues, we were given a clear instruction: to show Donald Trump in a positive way, and his opponent, Hillary Clinton, in a negative way,”

Skorobutov, who was an editor on the Vesti daily news program, brought documents to the conference that he said were

coverage planning outlines showing how the Kremlin wanted the election reported.

In one guide from August 9, 2016, he showed that Moscow wanted to play up a story that

right-wing American media had seized on (http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/08/07/hillary-clinton-needs-help-getting-stairs/) that day about a six-months-old photo of Clinton stumbling while climbing some steps as she campaigned in South Carolina.

The question is why? Flynn has to know where all the dirt is at.

Trump Wants Ivanka and Jared Kushner to Return to New York: Report

The president appears to have lost faith in his son-in-law's political advice.

In a surprising shift, Trump himself is now getting sick of the Kushner sideshow.

The president suggested that Kushner and Ivanka Trump go home to New York City, (https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/11/jared-kushner-horizons-are-collapsing-within-the-west-wing) according to Vanity Fair. Trump is concerned about the political media coverage of the couple.

Trump is also said to resent Kushner's advice to back losing Republican Alabama Senate primary candidate Luther Strange, along with the advice to fire FBI director James Comey.

“He keeps pressuring them to go,” a source close to Kushner told Vanity Fair.

We Knew This in January

We’re seeing a lot of coverage today of reports (https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/11/trump-intel-slip) that

US intelligence officials warned their Israeli counterparts to be careful sharing information with Donald Trump because he might be compromised by the Russians.

This is not new information.

Indeed, it is an example of just how much and how early we’ve known about the crisis in the White House, with still relatively little attention being given to the fact of it.

This news was first reported in January in the Israeli press – and not just in the Israeli press but in the English language Israeli press, so readily accessible in the United States.

Indeed, a number of publications including TPM picked up this news at the time.

The unnamed top US intelligence official told his Israeli intelligence counterparts that Vladimir Putin had ‘leverages of pressure’ over then President-Elect Trump and that

they should be cautious giving him or those working for him sensitive intelligence because it might end up in the hands of the Iranians.

everything that has happened in the subsequent 10 months suggests that “President Trump is still, in effect, being blackmailed by Russia.”

Dem senator: ‘Michael Flynn is in deep trouble’ over multiple potential charges including perjury and tax violation

Speaking with CNN’s Jim Acosta Friday evening, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said that from what he’s seen, President Trump’s disgraced adviser Michael Flynn may incur multiple charges.

News that Flynn has cut off contact with the White House has “all the makings of a major development,” Blumenthal, who sits on the Senate’s Judiciary Committee, said.

“Is there enough evidence, at this point, to indict Michael Flynn?” Acosta asked the senator.

“Based on what I’ve seen,” Blumenthal responded, “Michael Flynn is in deep trouble.”

He then listed off the potential charges the former general may soon be slapped with:

perjury for lying to the FBI and Vice President Mike Pence about contacts with Russians,

failing to register as a foreign agent for his work with Turkey and

“possible tax criminal violations” for taking payments from Russia and Turkey.
