Or, more accurately, the lies Flynn allegedly told are whoppers.


The interview notes (in FBI terms called a “302,”) should (but won’t) end the right wing conspiracy theories that Flynn didn’t lie,

the FBI intentionally got him to lie, and

wrongly convinced him to admit to lying.

As usual, the far right has been turning itself into pretzels to support Trump and his cohorts.

This is one more set of facts that make clear Flynn and many, many others are in a lot of trouble.

yeah, so judge basically advised that they hold off sentencing until all cooperation is completed (which is what many of us on this board tried explaining ad nauseam when his previous sentencing dates were continued)

given that there is a likelihood that his cooperation has not concluded, judge said they should come back again in a few months. otherwise the judge can only consider the level of cooperation to this point, rather than what may end up being the entirety of it. sullivan seemed to imply his sentencing will be less down the line after further cooperation

- Judge said, verbatim "I am satisfied that Mr. Flynn entered his guilty plea while competent and capable. He understood at that time the nature of the charges against him and the consequences of pleading guilty. Having carefully read all the materials provided to the Court in this case, including those materials reviewed under seal and in-camera, I conclude that there was and remains to be a factual basis for Mr. Flynn's plea of guilty.
