Here’s Who FOX News Just Blamed For Trump’s Russia Scandal

But Bolling doubles down, decrying the blatant evidence against Trump and Trump Jr. as “Trump derangement syndrome.”

He then goes so far as to blame Obama for, somehow, not stopping the Trump campaign from colluding with a hostile foreign adversary to undermine the integrity of our election.

“If you have a problem with what Russia is doing with regards to our elections, then

you have a problem with what Barack Obama did to stop them from doing it.

He apparently never stopped any of this from happening.”

Bolling’s comments are a testament to the extent to which FOX News will go to diffuse responsibility on behalf of the Trump administration.

hey what do you know...the same anti-Magnitsky Russian lawyer has ties to the GPS fusion firm that was paid by Dems to get dirt on Trump. This shit is straight out of a spy movie :lol

"Of particular interest to Grassley is the involvement of Washington political research firm Fusion GPS. Browder singled out the firm for its alleged involvement in the anti-Magnitsky effort. It was also involved in the creation of a research document last year that claimed the Russian government had collected blackmail material on Trump, and that his team had colluded with Russian government agents to hobble the Clinton campaign.

Most of the Steele dossier—named for its author, a former British intelligence agent—remains unverified. The dossier, and Fusion GPS’s role in it, has been invoked by defenders of the president—including his legal team—to cast doubt on collusion allegations, and prior statements from Grassley indicated he would likely take that tack during the hearing."

The White House Puts Trump Into Hiding As He Is Consumed By Rage Over The Russia Scandal

Trump is reported to be consumed by rage over the fact that his son Donald Jr. has been caught up in the Russia scandal,

while the White House has kept the President hidden from any domestic public appearances as they fear what might happen if they let him out in public.

President Donald Trump personally signed off (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/11/us/politics/russia-trump.html?_r=0) on a statement provided Sunday by Donald Trump Jr.,

BUSTED: Breitbart editors privately accuse Trump Jr. of collusion — while defending him online

It appears that now, even editors at Steve Bannon’s conservative website privately believe Donald Trump Jr. is guilty of colluding with the Russians — while defending him in print.

According to CNN (http://money.cnn.com/2017/07/11/media/right-wing-media-donald-trump-jr-emails-russians/index.html), Raheem Kassam, Breitbart London’s editor-in-chief, reveals that the leader of the British wing of the alt-right’s flagship news site is privately concerned about Donald Trump, Jr.’s emails.

“So like, this is straight up collusion, right?” Kassam wrote in a transcript of the company’s internal Slack channel obtained by CNN.

Kassam wasn’t the only Breitbart-er stunned by the news:

senior editor Rebecca Mansour responded only with the word “wow,”

while deputy politics editor Rebecca House simply wrote “???????” to voice her astonishment.

‘Category 5 hurricane’: White House under siege by Trump Jr.’s Russia revelations

The White House has been thrust into chaos after days of ever-worsening revelations about a meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a lawyer characterized as representing the Russian government, as the president fumes against his enemies and senior aides circle one another with suspicion,

President Trump — who has been hidden from public view since returning last weekend from a divisive international summit — is enraged that the Russia cloud still hangs over his presidency and is exasperated that his eldest son and namesake has become engulfed by it,

Even supporters of Trump Jr. who believe he faces no legal repercussions privately acknowledged Tuesday that the story is a public relations disaster — for him as well as for the White House.

Inside a White House in which infighting often seems like a core cultural value,

three straight days of revelations in the New York Times about Trump Jr. have inspired a new round of accusations and recriminations,

with advisers privately speculating about who inside the Trump orbit may be leaking damaging information about the president’s son.
This portrait of the Trump White House under siege is based on interviews Tuesday with more than a dozen West Wing officials, outside advisers, and friends and associates of the president and his family,

Good night Youngblood.

Of course my views shift.
They shift as new information comes forth. That's how it works. I don't try and actively seek information to confirm a certain view.

The Russia narrative had never been as devious and planned out as some have illustrated. I thought this from the very beginning. When Thread first freaked out and thought Donald was gone I posted he had rushed to judgement. The problem is people want this to be some well thought out plan that comes to fruition. So many times it turns out to be a general plan that gets bungled and has many twists and turns that are purely random or stupid mistakes or just intentions attributed to an individual that has been totally mischaracterized and has some weird hang ups that don't fit the narrative and could not have been predicted.

This is not Sherlock Holmes. Evidence and facts are messy and don't fit well. It's a very unsatisfactory puzzle in most cases. People get into too much fiction and get carried away with this spy and criminal stuff. If you read enough good history you see how bizarre and messed up well thought out plans become. Nice neat collusion is rare yet people concentrate on the stories that are easiest. They publish the easiest stories cause the reader can follow it.

Give me a link or link(s) that accurately describes your thoughts on this lady you are hung on. Or whatever. I'll read it. Honestly I can see Jr going into a meeting not even knowing dealing with foreign countries messing with elections has serious legal issues and can even be treated as treason. I would not doubt it a bit. He obviously does not understand what Russias intentions are under Putin. He may have been told by Dad there is a lot of money to be made in Russia and that's all they know or care about. Now they have larger responsibilities and are just stepping in shit constantly.

Donald Trump Jr lied about every aspect of meeting. No one should believe 'it didn't go anywhere' (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/7/12/1679966/-Donald-Trump-Jr-lied-about-every-aspect-of-meeting-no-one-should-believe-it-didn-t-go-anywhere)

The progression of Trump Jr.'s position can be summarized like this:

* I never represented the campaign in a meeting with a Russian.

* Actually, I did, but the meeting was about adoption.

* Well, the pretext of the meeting was incriminating information about Clinton, but we didn't actually get any.

* This kind of meeting is totally normal.

* The meeting didn't seem like such a bad idea at the time because the media wasn't focused on Russia yet.

The one tiny nail on which Trump Jr is hanging what’s left of his story—and the only thing that’s protecting Kushner and Manafort—is

the idea that this meeting was trivial and didn’t lead to anything else.

Don’t believe it.

Natalia Veselnitskaya was no stranger, she was important to Trump's business (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/7/11/1679688/-Natalia-Veselnitskaya-was-no-stranger-she-was-important-to-Trump-s-business)

Veselnitskaya’s official reason for coming to the United States really did have to do with the Magnitsky Act. Not lobbying against the act, but acting as an attorney in a lawsuit against a Russian company accused of money-laundering for the mob. (http://www.thedailybeast.com/us-prosecutors-are-out-to-crack-russias-crooked-money-machine)

The specific case in question here is against Prevezon Holdings Ltd., a Cyprus-registered company.

How did Prevezon Holding supposedly move mob money into the United States? By snapping up expensive condos and other real estate. And who was it that Veselnitskaya had come to fight after she made her pitch to Donald Trump Junior?

U. S. District Attorney Preet Bharara.

Donald Trump’s personal attorney has openly bragged that he was the one who told Trump to sack Bharara … for a very specific reason.

According to four sources that spoke to ProPublica, Marc Kasowitz, Trump’s personal lawyer and his primary counsel on matters related to the Russia investigation, had bragged that he was largely responsible for getting the U.S. attorney for New York's Southern District fired.

“This guy is going to get you,” Kasowitz recalled saying to Trump, according to one of the sources.

The connection between Bharara’s cases and Trump–Russia wasn’t immediately obvious. But Bharara hinted heavily (https://twitter.com/PreetBharara/status/841000145630175232) that he had been ousted to close down a investigation of corruption related to Trump.

Prevezon appears to be yet another

holding company created expressly for the purpose of turning Russian mob money into American real estate in deals that allow oligarchs to clean their stolen funds and US real estate moguls to pocket fat profits.

Deals exactly like those Trump is known to have used to escape bankruptcy. (https://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/1/9/1618540/-Was-Donald-Trump-bailed-out-of-bankruptcy-by-Russia-crime-bosses)

Emin Agalarov was more than just someone Trump Jr. had met during the Miss Universe pageant. He was a key contact for the Trump Organization, and their partner on potential deals in Moscow.

Natalia Veselnitskaya was also clearly someone other than the nameless woman who showed up to give Trump Jr. a talk he didn’t want to hear.

Both of them go right back to the core of Trump’s business—which was money laundering.
If all of this is making the world seem pretty small … it’s because it’s all connected.

And the center of that connection is Donald Trump.

Trump Jr.’s mysterious meeting with a Russia-connected think tank

Trump’s son says there are no more shoes to drop. Is he sure?

One meeting that Donald Trump Jr. has not fully explained is a speech in Paris on October 11, 2017, just weeks before the election.

In his capacity as a key member of the Trump campaign, Trump Jr. spoke at the meeting at the request of a French think tank, The Center of Political and Foreign Affairs.

Trump Jr. was likely paid about $50,000 for the speech, according to the speaking fees listed by talent booking agency that represents him.

The CFPR has a reputation in the French press as being “openly connected to the Russians.”

It is difficult, however, to track just how connected they are, as France does not require it’s nonprofit organizations to disclose their finances.

The founders of the center have

worked closely with the Russian government to end the conflict in Syria and in 2016,

nominated Russian President Vladimir for the Nobel Peace Prize. :lol

The center’s director, Fabien Baussart, has been described as “a former lobbyist for Russian oligarchs in France.”

He cited Putin’s “peace-making efforts” as reason for his nomination.

One of the founders, Baussart’s wife Randa Kassis, heads a political party called the Movement for a Pluralistic Society, which is in part endorsed by Russia in support of Syrian president Bashar al-Asssad.

Russian Officials Overheard Discussing Trump Associates Before Campaign Began

It isn’t clear whether Mr. Trump’s associates had any connection to his presidential aspirations

Updated July 12, 2017 9:26 p.m. ETWASHINGTON—Investigators are re-examining conversations detected by U.S. intelligence agencies in spring 2015 that captured Russian government officials discussing associates of Donald Trump,

according to current and former U.S. officials,

a move prompted by revelations that the president’s eldest son met with a Russian lawyer last year.

Trump Just Got Hit With A New Lawsuit Over DNC Email Leak

The 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump and one of Trump’s informal advisors, Roger Stone, are the subject of an invasion of privacy lawsuit (https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3893506-Invasion-of-Privacy-lawsuit-complaint-Trump.html)filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. over emails hacked by Russia that exposed their personal information to the world.

The suit does not have any great new revelations but in its 44-pages, it is a comprehensive catalog of all the public evidence that Russia colluded with Trump to turn the election in his direction and to defeat Secretary Hillary Clinton.

That includes everything from Trump softening the Republican platform plank on Russia’s brutal invasion of the Ukraine, to Donald Trump Jr.’s June 2016 meeting with a lawyer connected to the Russian government.

If a federal judge allows the suit to go forward,

the three defendants would be able to use the discovery process to demand documents and do interviews under oath that would be the equivalent of another investigation into the Russian interference in the election.

"One source suggested the official [American] investigation was making progress. “They now have specific concrete and corroborative evidence of collusion,” the source said. “This is between people in the Trump campaign and agents of [Russian] influence relating to the use of hacked material.”

That's a bombshell because evidence that Trump advisers were involved in any way with the release of hacked Hillary Clinton-related emails would be an impeachment-level smoking gun in a scandal that currently involves a lot of reports about sketchy relationships but no proof of clearly illegal conduct. It's only sort of a bombshell because, well, who is this one random source and why does he/she seem to be the only person anywhere who knows this potentially world-shaking information? :lol

The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?
I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.

Bad news for the Trump-Russia tinfoil-hat brigade

During a Capitol Hill hearing this week over his investigation into allegations President Trump worked with the Kremlin to steal the election, FBI Director James Comey showed his hand, and he’s not holding any aces. In fact, he’s got a whole lot of nothing.

In an exchange with Democratic Sen. Al Franken, Comey revealed the assumptions undergirding his investigation, which started in the heat of the 2016 presidential campaign, despite any specific evidence of a crime.

“What is your assessment of why the Russian government had a clear preference for President Trump?” Franken asked.

“One is he wasn’t Hillary Clinton,” Comey replied, “who [Russian President Vladimir] Putin hated and wanted to harm in any possible way; and so he was her opponent, so necessarily they supported him.”

Also, “Putin believed he would be more able to make deals . . . with someone with a business background,” the FBI chief added. But, a disappointed Franken pressed, wasn’t it also because Trump was “ensnared in their web of patronage?” No, said Comey.

So there you have it. The conclusion that Russia tried to steal the election for Trump is based on pure speculation about how Putin thinks. The notion Trump was in Putin’s back pocket doesn’t even factor into it.

There’s more bad news for Franken and other tin-foil-hat-wearing Democrats peddling the theory Trump is Putin’s Manchurian candidate. It turns out the FBI probe doesn’t even focus on Trump or his key campaign aides. It centers almost exclusively on a former Merrill Lynch executive who was based in Moscow a decade ago.

His name is Carter Page, and he never formally worked for the Trump campaign. In fact, he first showed up on the FBI’s radar three years before Trump announced his candidacy.

Page is the main investigative target and apparently the only one remotely tied to the Trump campaign to have his communications targeted with a FISA warrant. To obtain that surveillance warrant, the FBI relied on a discredited dossier, which will make it hard to prosecute Page.

The opposition research firm behind the dossier, which alleges nefarious collusion between Trump and Putin, is Fusion GPS, which conducts “political disinformation campaigns” — sometimes for Moscow. “The relationship casts further doubt on an already highly dubious dossier,” Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley wrote the Justice Department in a recent letter.

Adding to suspicions, the author of the dodgy dossier may have been on the FBI’s payroll, according to Grassley. The GOP senator asked Comey about “payments” the bureau made to researcher Christopher Steele, and Comey dodged the question without denying payments.

So nine months in, this is where the FBI’s investigation stands: No evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and Moscow, something even Obama’s intelligence czar verified. No charges against any Trump aides for espionage. And one case against a single, tangentially connected suspect built on tenuous evidence at best.

Even Comey’s theory about Putin favoring Trump lacks direct evidence. In fact, there is just as much evidence Russia hackers were trying to hurt Trump.

Yes, Russian hackers may have publicized batches of emails from the DNC and the Clinton campaign chairman. But the RNC was also a Russian hacking target. The only reason hackers got deeper into the DNC is because the DNC and John Podesta bit on phishing scams.

In September, moreover, Russian hackers also leaked embarrassing emails about Trump from ex-Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell, who called the GOP nominee a “national disgrace” and an “idiot.”

And if Russia really wanted to hurt Clinton and the Democrats, why do it withhold the coup de grace: a potentially devastating memo written by a Democratic operative who expressed confidence that Obama’s attorney general would keep the Clinton email investigation “from going too far” and ensure her victory?

A copy of the document, which might have convinced already distrustful voters of her guilt, was intercepted by the FBI.

After Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, CNN asked the ranking Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, if she had evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government during the election. “Not at this time,” Feinstein sheepishly replied.

The case against Trump is paper-thin. What started as a political fishing expedition has nonetheless turned into a full-fledged witch hunt, fanned by a Democrat-dominated media hellbent on demonizing and destroying Trump and his policie

legal thoughts on this

Recieving "something of value" means property or material. Not information. The idea of an information economy did not exist at the time the laws were written. Going to get information from a foreign government is not illegal. Changing the definition of "something of value" would require a ruling on the matter by the Supreme Court.
And doing so would severely impede any future Presidential challengers from removing the incumbent party as they already have access to the information generated by law enforcement and the national security apparatus. And it would mean a presidential candidate would be surrendering a right that any other US citizen would have just to run for the office.

Kushner Just Admitted He Lied About Dozens Of Secret Foreign Contacts

The New York Times reports (http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/341844-kushner-updated-disclosure-to-add-more-than-100-foreign-contacts) that since he originally submitted

his disclosure forms, Kushner has updated them three times, for a total of more than one hundred new foreign contacts.

How Kushner could have conveniently forgotten so many people is anyone’s guess.

As Kushner’s lack of transparency grows more pronounced, calls for his security clearance to be revoked grow louder.

“In a normal world, we wouldn’t be talking about security clearances, Jared Kushner would have been fired about four hours ago,” Senator Chris Murphy said on MSNBC.

Pence’s Spokesman Just Got Asked If VP Met With Russians. His Answer Is Very Disturbing

On the unofficial state propaganda network, Fox News, Pence Press Secretary Marc Lotter was asked on three separate occasions

if the Vice President ever met with representatives from Russia.

On all three occasions, Lotter declined to answer — even after he was pressed with a direct “is that a yes or is that a no?”

The cagey evasion of a simple question is by no means an admission of guilt, but it is a strong indication that the President’s scandal stretches at least a heartbeat away from his office.

If Pence did not meet with Russian agents, the answer would be an easy one.

If, however, Pence did collude with foreign adversaries in an effort to win election, the questions are about to get much more difficult.

Based on what we’re seeing out of the Pence’s office, the Vice President would be best served not by measuring the Oval Office drapes but preparing to defend against his own ouster as well.

legal thoughts on this

How about your legal thoughts on the level of morals displayed by Trump and his kids?

It was not a hard call. When someone says the Russian government wants to give you secret intelligence on your opponent in a presidential campaign, you don't take the meeting, at least not without the FBI alerted and listening in.

Whether you're an experienced campaign hand like Paul Manafort or a novice like Donald Trump Jr., that decision should be a simple one. I'll leave it up to Robert Mueller to determine what laws were broken, but illegality aside, the immorality of working with a foreign adversary to win a race for the White House should be obvious on its face.

But it wasn't obvious to Trump Jr., who wasn't just willing to listen to a supposed "Russian government attorney" but was so excited he wrote "if it's what you say I love it."

What happened in the meeting itself is hardly relevant. The email chain Trump Jr. eagerly released on Twitter proved once and for all the campaign was delirious at the opportunity to work with the Russian government to beat Hillary Clinton. After months of denials that there were any meetings with Russian officials, followed by months of denials that there were any inappropriate meetings with Russian officials, we now know the truth.
The truth is Donald Trump Jr. lacks the most rudimentary moral compass.

One that worked, even crudely, would have resulted in a very different email chain from the one revealed Tuesday. Instead, he gleefully went down the wrong path and even now doesn't seem to recognize he's done anything wrong.

He's a real chip off the old block, isn't he? His father's defining quality, other than a need for attention so desperate it borders on pathetic, is his inability to admit a mistake of any sort, at any scale. Trump's been caught in simple lies, but he's never copped to a single one. He still claims to believe 3 to 5 million people voted illegally in November's election. At best he'll shift the blame to someone else, like when he famously said "someone gave me the wrong information" about the historical nature of his election victory.

His inability to see he has done anything wrong is also perhaps one of the most dangerous vices President Trump enjoys. A president who is congenitally unable to learn from his mistakes is one who will never learn to fix them. Trump is constantly mad at some senior West Wing staffer or another, blaming Reince Priebus or Sean Spicer or Steve Bannon for whatever pickle he's in, totally unable to realize no staff shakeup will ever solve his fundamental problem: Donald J. Trump.

That same quality is what keeps fueling the Russia collusion story. (And after Trump Jr.’s email release, we can comfortably call it a collusion story – at the very least, they tried.) Trump can't admit he made a mistake telling Comey to lay off Flynn. He can't admit his campaign had inappropriate contacts with Russian officials. The entire investigation must be a hoax concocted by a vicious media and his political enemies because the alternative – his judgment being questionable – is unthinkable.

Admitting you're wrong is losing, and Trumps never lose – not when they drive their businesses into bankruptcy, not when they're caught in a lie and certainly not when the Russians want to serve you victory from a gold-plated samovar.

That's the lesson Trump passed down to his children. The man who scammed millions of dollars out of people with a fake university and regularly refused to pay contractors the full amount he had promised them wasn't teaching his oldest son how to treat people with decency or fairness. Donald Trump Jr. learned from his father that life is a zero-sum game, that winning always means someone else loses and that winning is the only thing that matters.

Of course Trump Jr. took the meeting. It never would have occurred to him to turn down information that could help his father succeed, no matter where it came from. The eldest Trump child asked himself what his father would do, and no doubt the answer was clear as a cloudless summer sky reflecting off the windows of Trump Tower.

He did what his father would do. And it tells you everything you need to know about them both.

I am going to guess that the inept bunch of morons, i.e. the Trump family, has committed something. Trump may have been somewhat careful, but has never been subjected to a serious investigation, so I doubt his dumb ass was as careful as he should have been.
