There are no rules, it's just PR from the state of Texas. Just like there was no phased plan with waiting for 14 straight days of cases dropping, that was just PR when it it was really to open whenever Abbott felt like it. Social distancing in bars is the most retarded thing I have ever heard of. You go to bars to get laid. What are you supposed to take the woman to your place and jack off on her from six feet away?

Placentas From COVID-19-Positive Pregnant Women Show Injury
The placentas from 16 women who tested positive for COVID-19 while pregnant showed evidence of injury, according to pathological exams completed directly following birth
The type of injury seen in the placentas shows
abnormal blood flow between the mothers and their babies in utero,
pointing to a new complication of COVID-19.
“Most of these babies were delivered full-term after otherwise normal pregnancies, so you wouldn’t expect to find anything wrong with the placentas, but this virus appears to be inducing some injury in the placenta,”

Coronavirus vaccine developed in China shows promise after early study in 100 people
A potential coronavirus vaccine (https://www.livescience.com/coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine-timeline.html) developed in China appeared safe and able to generate an immune response after an early trial in more than 100 people,
there are more than 100 different coronavirus vaccines in development worldwide, with at least
eight of those in the process of human trials.
the researchers tested Ad5-nCoV in 108 healthy people ages 18 to 60 who didn't have COVID-19. Participants received either a low, middle or high dose of the vaccine.
the researchers tested Ad5-nCoV in 108 healthy people ages 18 to 60 who didn't have COVID-19. Participants received either a low, middle or high dose of the vaccine.
Two weeks after vaccination, participants in all three groups showed some level of an immune response to the virus.
By 28 days, nearly all participants had developed antibodies that bound to SARS-CoV-2 (but don't necessarily attack the virus), and
about half of the participants in the low- and middle- dose groups and three-quarters of participants in the high-dose group developed "neutralizing antibodies," which bind to and disable the virus to prevent it from infecting cells.
The most common side effects were mild pain at the injection site, mild fever, fatigue, headache and muscle pain,
have now started a larger, phase 2 study of the vaccine involving 500 participants who will be given a low or intermediate dose of the vaccine, or a placebo.

Twitter Bots Drove the Push to 'Reopen America,' Study Finds
bots are driving the push to “reopen America” on the platform.
about half of more than 200 million tweets related to covid-19 that have been sent since January appear to be from bots.
About half of all accounts tweeting about “reopening America” appeared to be bots, and
60 percent of the 1,000 most influential retweeters appeared to be bots.
Of the top 50 influential accounts, 82 percent are bots.
Basically, a whole lot of fake accounts are artificially inflating the “movement” to reopen America.
The researchers were able to categorize more than 100 types of inaccurate covid-19 stories, but
tweets about ending stay-at-home orders were the most frequent.

Study of 96,000 Covid-19 Patients Finds Hydroxychloroquine Increased Their Risk of Dying
"The drug US President Donald Trump said he was taking to ward off Covid-19 actually increases the risk of patients with the disease dying from it (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-52779309)," reports the BBC, citing a new study published Friday in the Lancet.
"The study said there were no benefits to treating patients with the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine..."
Hydroxychloroquine is safe for malaria, and conditions like lupus or arthritis, but no clinical trials have recommended the use of hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus. The Lancet study involved 96,000 coronavirus patients, nearly 15,000 of whom were given hydroxychloroquine — or a related form chloroquine — either alone or with an antibiotic.
The study found that the patients were more likely to die in hospital and develop heart rhythm complications than other Covid patients in a comparison group. The death rates of the treated groups were: hydroxychloroquine 18%; chloroquine 16.4%; control group 9%. Those treated with hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine in combination with antibiotics had an even higher death rate.
The researchers warned that hydroxychloroquine should not be used outside of clinical trials.
The BBC also reports that a separate trial involving over 40,000 healthcare workers around the world is now testing whether hydroxychloroquine could prevent infection.

You just don't want that treatment to be hydroxychloroquine cuz Trump, you'd rather people die. It's been that way since he mentioned the drug.
We get a case series studies showing benefit you say it's just anecdotes. Then tout "studies" which don't give dosages, point in illness when the drug was given, this one includes HQ and CP, or even worse some of the studies you guys celebrate are using CP and clearly overdosing the patients.
I'll keep waiting for actual clinical trial that starts hydroxychloroquine early in the illness and at a known safe dosage. Then it works or it doesn't.
It's just sad that people like you would be against a drug working just to claim some sort of victory over Trump.

Wrong at every level. We all want a treatment that is scientifically proven to work. I don't want a treatment that is either scientifically unproven, or proven NOT to work, cuz Trump said the cool kids are doing it.
When we had some studies that were extremely limited (admitted by the studies themselves), but hopeful, I said they were hopeful, and I was certainly rooting for confirmation at a larger scale. I'm still hopeful we can find a treatment that works.
Now that studies say it's not useful, then one would rationally expect people to say, oh well, that didn't pan out, and move on to the next thing.

America isn't being reopened, it's being ripped apart by propaganda using the 2016 Russian playbook
The bots may be numerous, but their message isn’t varied.
They’re not being used to pass along accurate news about COVID-19, to encourage social distancing, or to support state government calls for preventive measures

spreading general false information about the dangers of COVID-19,
there’s one point where bots are driving the whole of social media.
they are “dominating conversations about ending stay-at-home orders and ‘reopening America.’”

deaths due to COVID-19 are being overcounted,
that medical workers and hospitals are exaggerating the scale of the pandemic,
that hospital rooms are filled with crisis actors or even mannequins to make the situation seem far worse than it is.
The bots are both
originating and repeating more than 100 different categories of false stories about COVID-19, the pandemic, and the steps needed to fight the disease.
These conspiracy theories are designed to both increase anger and generate distrust of medical authorities.
They’ve also played a role in driving in-person protests in cities across the country.
See if this looks familiar:
A social media campaign that dominates a national conversation, introduces divisive themes, and helps to orchestrate small physical protests.
Out-sized media coverage and intense social media amplification that makes those protests seem both far more significant and legitimate.
A network of lies and conspiracy theories that opens divisions in the nation, plays on existing fears, and generates distrust of knowledgeable sources.
that was exactly Russia’s 2016 playbook. And that’s not a great surprise.
Because this isn’t some random group of bots cobbled together by hackers just for kicks.
The scale of this effort is huge, the messages are coordinated, and the impact has already been felt nationwide.
According to CMU professor Kathleen Carley,
“...it looks like it's a propaganda machine, and it definitely matches the Russian and Chinese playbooks.”

Study estimates 24 states still have uncontrolled coronavirus spread
may still be spreading at epidemic rates in 24 states, particularly in the South and Midwest,
the risk of a second wave of infections in places that reopen too quickly or without sufficient precautions.
Some states have had little viral spread or “crushed the curve” to a great degree

Others are nowhere near containing the virus.

"North Carolina has reported its highest one-day spike in new COVID-19 cases, a development that comes a day after the state entered its second phase of re-opening.
In a statement Saturday, the state's Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,107 infections – around 250 more cases than the state's last highest daily tally.
"This is a notable and concerning increase," said the department's secretary, Mandy Cohen. "As we head into a holiday weekend, please practice the three Ws – wear a face covering, wait six feet apart, and wash your hands frequently. When it comes to our health, we need to work together to protect our families, friends and neighbors."

Maybe say something that makes fucking sense if you're going to try to attack or defend a stance.
So people tested positive just a day after opening - that's intentionally conflating cause with correlation. It's being used as a "told you so" for reopening the country. It's stupid. The infections happened while the country was closed, idiot. That means being closed didn't stop the infections which is completely opposite of how you're hoping to spin it, but you'll buy anything from the left.

Brazil’s Covid-19 Crisis Shows What Will Happen
if the U.S. Relaxes All Social Distancing Standards
President Jair Bolsonaro is exasperating the Trump playbook
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0?ui=2&ik=c5ffe9fe07&attid=0.1&permmsgid=msg-a:r6515738053462503222&th=1724739fe98fad8c&view=fimg&sz=s0-l75-ft&attbid=ANGjdJ9INpWrfeAiufkKWkIHrAYT3PaA6U3vuJapZfI-7JNK6KYZDUGgifg7lV46tPDvDByquyIqFLUDlBl12gf-fKzf1Q5yNpL7-YLrXt8hxq0GVFFMet3FlPlMenk&disp=emb&realattid=ii_kal74s4g0
The US reaction to Brazil, like everything else, has been slow. Not only aren’t we helping them, we’re putting ourselves in danger —
we haven’t halted air travel from Brazil,
that has greater Covid-19 spread than China did when we did ban travel from China.
Trump declaring the Coronavirus over now is
virtually the same as declaring it non-existent in February.
I did several closed Congressional briefings today.
At one, I was told to
stop asking for investments in public health and
start focusing about the economy.
I said that’s exactly what I think I’m doing.

A deadly ‘checkerboard’:
Covid-19′s new surge across rural America
The pandemic that first struck in major metropolises is now increasingly finding its front line in the country’s rural areas (https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/03/19/rural-areas-may-be-most-vulnerable-during-coronavirus-outbreak/?arc404=true);
counties with acres of farmland, cramped meatpacking plants, out-of-the-way prisons and few hospital beds.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-stat/graphics/ai2html/hair-map/RQUK7U4D3FBFLPOLBHGB3JUVNY/wave-chart-xlarge.jpg?v=3
In these areas, where 60 million Americans live (https://www.census.gov/library/stories/2017/08/rural-america.html),
populations are poorer,
older and
more prone to health problems such as diabetes and obesity than those of urban areas.
They include immigrants and the undocumented — the “essential” workers who have kept the country’s sprawling food industry running, but who rarely have the luxury of taking time off for illness.
. Rural counties now have some of the highest rates of covid-19 cases and deaths in the country,
topping even the hardest-hit New York City boroughs and signaling a new phase of the pandemic — one of halting, scattered outbreaks that could devastate still more of America’s most vulnerable towns as states lift stay-at-home orders. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/national/states-reopening-coronavirus-map/?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_resourcebox-link2%3Ahomepage%2Fstory-ans&itid=hp_hp-top-table-main_resourcebox-link2%3Ahomepage%2Fstory-ans)
“It is coming, and it’s going to be more of a checkerboard,”
“It’s not going to be a wave that spreads out uniformly over all of rural America;
it’s going to be hot spots that come and go.
And I don’t know how well they’re going to be managed.

The Next Death Wave from Coronavirus Will Be the
Poor, Rural and White
What do you call a crisis that kills a hundred thousand Americans? It all depends on who does the dying.
April 7 was the day that America learned that
the majority of the people who were dying from COVID-19 were either elderly, black or Hispanic.
Not so many white guys, after all.
Then came April 7, when the New York Times ran a front-page story with the headline:
“Black Americans Face Alarming Rates of Coronavirus Infection in Some States (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/07/us/coronavirus-race.html).”
African Americans die disproportionately from everything, from heart disease to strokes to cancer to childbirth.
It’s a symptom of a racially rigged economy and a health care system that only responds to money,
which America has conspired to keep from African Americans for more than 400 years.
Of course they’re going to die more frequently from coronavirus.
White people were out of work, and
black people were most of the casualties, outside of the extremely elderly.
And those white people need their jobs back!
“The disease turned out not to be quite as dangerous as we thought.”
Left unsaid was the issue of whom it was not “quite as dangerous” to
once we knew that most of the non-elderly victims were black, things were suddenly very, very different.
Now it was time to quit talking about people dying and start talking about white people getting back to work!
big on the agenda of corporate America was the desire
to get the states to rescind their stay-home-from-work orders so that companies could cut their unemployment tax losses.
Freedomworks, the billionaire-founded and -funded group ...
published an op-ed (https://www.freedomworks.org/content/economic-recovery-starts-lifting-small-businesses-back) on their website calling for an “economic recovery” program including
an end to the capital gains tax :lol
and a new law to “shield” businesses from lawsuits. :lol
When Rachel Maddow began reporting on meatpacking plants that had become epicenters of mass infection, the conservative Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court (https://www.rawstory.com/2020/05/wisconsin-gop-judge-covid-19-is-spreading-due-to-meat-packing-workers-and-not-regular-folks/) pointed out that
the virus flare wasn’t coming from the “regular folks” of the surrounding community.
About a third of the people the virus killed were old folks in nursing homes.
Which, right-wing commentators said, could be a good thing for the economy because
they’re just “useless eaters (https://www.salon.com/2020/03/27/trumps-death-cult-finally-says-it-time-to-kill-the-useless-eaters-for-capitalism/)” who are spending our Medicaid and Social Security money and are on death’s door anyway.
A conservative town commissioner in Antioch (https://www.rawstory.com/2020/04/california-official-calls-for-reopening-so-coronavirus-can-kill-off-the-old-and-the-weak-it-would-also-free-up-housing/), California, noted that
losing “many elderly [people]… would reduce burdens in our defunct Social Security System” and “free up housing.”
would once again reduce our impact on medical, jobs, and housing.”
African Americans were dying in our cities,
Hispanics were dying in meatpacking plants,
the elderly were dying in nursing homes.
Trump, Fox and his followers think COVID-19 just kills the elderly, blacks and Hispanics—and
they seem comfortable with the needless deaths of people they think are different from themselves.
As it spreads into rural white America, however, they’re about to learn otherwise.

Under the Constitution there is no right not to catch a flu or a cold. Yet blue states are taking away their citizens constitutional rights and freedoms. The politicians asked us for 15 days. The American people agreed to that. We gave them an inch of our freedom, now they are abusing thier power and taking away miles of our freedom. Enough is enough. Time to let them know it.
Make them pay on election day!

All the states who are not opening are just about all under Democrat Governors. It's not about your health! iIt's about stopping Trump from getting reelected. Before the virus the economy was doing great! The Democrat knew they didn't have a better plan. Lucky for them China turned the virus loose on the world. Why? BECAUSE CHINA'S ECONOMY WASN'T DOING GOOD AT ALL. China wanted to world's economy to suffer like theirs. Democrat have decided to crash the American economy in order to stop Trump policies and leadership from guiding the economy to greatness again! I'll vote Trump and Republicans in November!
Now we're doing witch hunts for people who are violating the dogma of social distancing.

What Is the Real Coronavirus Death Toll in Each State?
Nationwide, nearly 64,000 more people have died than usual between March 15 and April 25.
That number is more than 16,000 higher than the official count of coronavirus deaths for that period.
Sometime in the next few days, the official coronavirus death count will likely exceed 100,000 (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/pwvgBliJuKoEYztJFMSeMg~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRgr3YaP0TnaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubnl0aW1lcy5jb20vaW50ZX JhY3RpdmUvMjAyMC8wNS8yNC91cy91cy1jb3JvbmF2aXJ1cy1k ZWF0aHMtMTAwMDAwLmh0bWw_Y2FtcGFpZ25faWQ9OSZlbWM9ZW RpdF9ubl8yMDIwMDUyNiZpbnN0YW5jZV9pZD0xODc3NSZubD10 aGUtbW9ybmluZyZyZWdpX2lkPTgwODIxNzk3JnNlZ21lbnRfaW Q9MjkxNTImdGU9MSZ1c2VyX2lkPTk5MmQ2MDgyMTRiNTA1MDAz YWEwNGJmMTBhNTk1MDMxVwNueXRCCgAmGvHMXsMyGt9SE2Rhcm 5vY25lbEBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAAA~). The true count is even higher —
probably closer to 130,000.
This larger number includes people who had the virus but weren’t diagnosed, as well as those who died for indirect reasons, such as delaying medical treatment for other illnesses.
Either way, the toll is greater than the combined death count (https://nl.nytimes.com/f/a/efXuk4lM-hFwdjvx-nOLUA~~/AAAAAQA~/RgRgr3YaP0TUaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cucGJzLm9yZy9uZXdzaG91ci 9uYXRpb24vbWFueS1hbWVyaWNhbnMtZGllZC11LXMtd2Fycz9j YW1wYWlnbl9pZD05JmVtYz1lZGl0X25uXzIwMjAwNTI2Jmluc3 RhbmNlX2lkPTE4Nzc1Jm5sPXRoZS1tb3JuaW5nJnJlZ2lfaWQ9 ODA4MjE3OTcmc2VnbWVudF9pZD0yOTE1MiZ0ZT0xJnVzZXJfaW Q9OTkyZDYwODIxNGI1MDUwMDNhYTA0YmYxMGE1OTUwMzFXA255 dEIKACYa8cxewzIa31ITZGFybm9jbmVsQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAA AAAA~~) from every war that the U.S. has fought in the past 60 years: Vietnam, Iraq, Iraq again, Afghanistan and elsewhere.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/05/05/us/coronavirus-death-toll-us.html?campaign_id=9&emc=edit_nn_20200526&instance_id=18775&nl=the-morning®i_id=80821797&segment_id=29152&te=1&user_id=992d608214b505003aa04bf10a595031 (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/05/05/us/coronavirus-death-toll-us.html?campaign_id=9&emc=edit_nn_20200526&instance_id=18775&nl=the-morning®i_id=80821797&segment_id=29152&te=1&user_id=992d608214b505003aa04bf10a595031)
So very probably, counting the huge "excess deaths", the C19 deaths today are probably 115,000+.

Wait until it really hits Florida retirement communities. Let's see how many of his voters the Republican governor is willing to throw into the volcano to appease the Trump death cult billionaire donor class.
Of the more than 92,000 Americans who had died of COVID-19 as of May 20 (the date that the data in this analysis was collected), nearly 75,000 were in Democratic congressional districts.
Of the 44 hardest-hit congressional districts – the top 10% in terms of deaths – 41 are represented by Democrats, while three are represented by Republicans. These include the New York-area districts, as well as those in the Boston, Detroit and New Orleans metropolitan areas. The average death toll in each of these hardest-hit districts was 1,122 as of May 20.
The next 100 hardest-hit districts, which represent the remainder of the top third of districts, with an average of 270 deaths, also are disproportionately represented by Democrats: 75 are represented by Democrats, 25 by Republicans.

far-right conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer Alex Jones is urging his substantial audience to not take the yet-to-be-developed vaccine when it becomes available.

The US CDC found that Covid-19 hospitalization rates for people aged 65 and over are “within ranges of influenza hospitalization rates”, with rates slightly higher for people aged 18 to 64 and “much lower” (compared to influenza) for people under 18.
In local hotspots like New York City, the overall hospitalization rate based on antibody studies is about 2.5% (19.9% or 1.7 million people with antibodies and 43,000 hospitalizations by May 2).
The much lower than expected hospitalization rate may explain why most Covid-19 ‘field hospitals’ even in hard-hit countries like the US, the UK and China remained largely empty.
8) Percentage of Covid-19 deaths in care homes per country
In many countries, deaths in care homes account for 30 to 60% of all additional deaths. In Canada and some US states, care homes account for up to 80% of all “Covid19-related” deaths.

Big Tech companies are aggressively tamping down on COVID-19 “misinformation” — opinions and ideas contrary to official pronouncements.
Dr. Knut M. Wittkowski, former head of biostatistics, epidemiology and research design at Rockefeller University, says YouTube removed a video of him talking about the virus that had racked up more than 1.3 million views.
Wittkowski, 65, is a ferocious critic of the nation’s current steps to fight the coronavirus. He has derided social distancing, saying it only prolongs the virus’ existence, and has attacked the current lockdown as mostly unnecessary.
Wittkowski, who holds two doctorates in computer science and medical biometry, believes the coronavirus should be allowed to create “herd immunity,” and that short of a vaccine, the pandemic will only end after it has sufficiently spread through the population.

Site ONE study and say, "the marshmallow diet is most effective in preventing diatetes! who would of thunk it?" This is seriously bad reporting which is why I have put up articles that are summaries of many studies written by people who UNDERSTAND science, not some hack spawned from Alex Jones.
Right now we are in a stage of bafflement even though we have sequenced the whole damn viral genome and know every protein it makes. This is amazing. But Biology is extraordinarily difficult, because it DOES NOT tell you how the virus is going to work in individuals with different genetic makeups, and certainly populations are very difficult as well as this is really new and not following previous rules.
Telling lies about it is not helpful. This is what the WH and some of the press is doing. Never ever say "we dont know and here is why" in Trump world.
This EXACTLY why leadership is so important. You and I have seen how many institutions who are making models based on possibly flawed data. This is why you get the best in the brightest from all over the world together and not only discuss models, but discuss POLICY.
What has the orange guy done in this regard? Tout drugs that have not been fully tested. Hire Kushner to get these people together?
Its a fckn joke.

Bolded:
Imo the amazing job done here is what gives us a great deal of hope a vaccine can be made sooner that we expected (but mass production and distribution could be a huge problem. This virus appears to change in very minor ways and has some major weaknesses in that one of the most important proteins it makes for binding to cells readily produces antibodies in preliminary studies. And this was predicted once we had sequenced it and figured out its proteins and most of their functions. Amazing job here.

YouTube censors epidemiologist[:lol] Knut Wittkowski for opposing lockdown

Sign up for our special edition newsletter to get a daily update on the coronavirus pandemic.
When conservatives start quoting experts, they almost always turn out to be less than advertised. Good experts publish on topic, and are cited by others in their works.
Wittkowski, has published one and only one original paper on epidemiology.
In 1995.
About an STD.
That has been cited by exactly ZERO other papers.
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Knut_M_Wittkowski
Setting aside his incredibly thin expertise on how diseases spread, and non-existent expertise on respiratory viruses, he pretty much demonstrates how incompetent he is with this one statement:
“[W]hat people are trying to do is flatten the curve. I don’t really know why. But, what happens is if you flatten the curve, you also prolong, to widen it, and it takes more time. And I don’t see a good reason for a respiratory disease to stay in the population longer than necessary . . .”
Holy fuckballs. That is literally the most ignorant thing he could have said.
Here is why your fucktarded "expert" got his shit ganked as misinformation:
If the virus proceeds along its natural infection path, the healthcare system would be overrun in the course of several weeks and more people would die than necessary, because many of them would be unable to receive appropriate care. The bargain you strike by flattening the curve is that, yes, the virus stays in circulation longer, and yes, this is sub-optimal, but the payoff is that the overall fatality rate is dramatically lowered because we have the resources to treat all serious cases according to best-practices, so fewer people die.
Dude at the Bulwark nailed it.

Coronavirus ‘silent spreaders’ become a bigger risk as California reopens
The role of “silent spreaders” in transmitting the coronavirus is becoming an even greater issue for health officials as they ease stay-at-home rules and slowly reopen the economy.
if many people who get the virus don’t show symptoms and yet are infectious, the disease could spread invisibly, beyond the reach of county health officials.
It’s called “presymptomatic transmission.”
There’s also “asymptomatic transmission,”
in which infected people show no serious signs of illness but still can spread the disease.

:lol is constantly trying to change the subject something you learned in science school?
Trump party voters tend to skew older.
The people in the Trump party have polled as being less concerned with virus, and take fewer precautions for it spreading. Implying that it will spread much more among Trump party members than Democrats.
I would grimly note that when it gets bad for the elderly, they won't be voting in November. Trump wont the electoral college by 77,000 votes, or less than one percent of total votes cast in three specific states. If every single vote in 2020 mirror 2016, and the death rate is anywhere near that of Italy, attrition alone might reverse the outcome.

62 percent of Democrats saying they plan to get the vaccine,

Twenty-six percent of Republicans said they would not get vaccinated.

“Bill Gates is plotting
to use a mass covid-19 vaccination campaign as a pretext to implant microchips in billions of people and monitor their movements.” :lol
The single largest group that said they would not get the vaccine, according to the new AP poll, was black Americans.
Forty percent of black people in the U.S. said that they did not plan to get the vaccine,
while just 25 percent said they would.
Hispanic Americans were the most unsure about getting the vaccine, according to the new poll,
with 37 percent saying that they were “not sure” whether they wanted to get vaccinated.
Thirty-seven percent of Hispanics also said that they were planning to get the vaccine.

I am more curious as to why you would post something about him, without doing any background checking to see the bonafides.
Not really much of an epidemiologist is he?
Further, he didn't seem to know about how thin our health care system capacity is, a basic and highly important datapoint when formulating public policy.
Do you think that available hospital space is important to considering how much to attempt to reduce the R0 value? Why or why not?

Sweden didnt lock down
Because the argument was that only experts were allowed to have an opinion. Neil furgusons track record worse than his.
It didn't matter. The rate of transmission was overstated and those who would need intervention via hospital were also overstated. As direct evidence by the furloughs. And almost 4 months into the data collection there are still errors in collecting reporting and classifying that have been used to perpetuate something that didn't need to take place.

I was perfectly clear. The modeling, the numbers you believed, were inaccruate. Hence the furloughs and the continued layoffs. The RATE OF TRANSMISSION WAS OVERSTATED AS WERE THOSE WHO MAY NEED HOSPITALIZED.
