In any event, my theory as to why Covid is spreading during the summer is because more people are driven indoors into air conditioned environments, and central air systems seem to facilitate spread, especially if you're downwind of the airflow. Yes, we know 252 didn't actually die "today," and many of those deaths are from earlier in July and some even from June and earlier, but what you fail to understand is that the lag works both ways. As time progresses, more and more deaths will be added that occurred today or this week and converge with the current 7 day trends (7 day trends are more useful than per day numbers). So simply put, if the current 7 day trend is 150, around 150 people probably died today, even though the report says 20 died on 7/30 (expect over 100 deaths to be eventually added to 7/30).

Deaths are calculated as people who died from Covid.
