These folks are doctors who are echoing what was said all along -- that in these studies where hydroxychloriquine was ineffective, it was administered too late and soemtimes incorrect dosage. You want to prevent a overreaction from the immune system...you want to prevent the immune system from burning down the house with a cytokine storm, so you administer it after the house is already smoldering. Makes perfect sense :lol
But I knew that Dr. Stella would be painted as a Christian quack by the left -- -anything that does not fit with the narrative on CNN has be dismissed. Politics over saving lives in this country. The same is said for the mask argument which should not even be an argument when you see how effective they have been in Japan and South Korea.

Support for evolutionary origin of COVID-19
There are outstanding evolutionary questions on the recent emergence of human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 including the role of reservoir species, the role of recombination and its time of divergence from animal viruses. We find that the sarbecoviruses—the viral subgenus containing SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2—undergo frequent recombination and exhibit spatially structured genetic diversity on a regional scale in China. SARS-CoV-2 itself is not a recombinant of any sarbecoviruses detected to date, and its receptor-binding motif, important for specificity to human ACE2 receptors, appears to be an ancestral trait shared with bat viruses and not one acquired recently via recombination. To employ phylogenetic dating methods, recombinant regions of a 68-genome sarbecovirus alignment were removed with three independent methods. Bayesian evolutionary rate and divergence date estimates were shown to be consistent for these three approaches and for two different prior specifications of evolutionary rates based on HCoV-OC43 and MERS-CoV. Divergence dates between SARS-CoV-2 and the bat sarbecovirus reservoir were estimated as 1948 (95% highest posterior density (HPD): 1879–1999), 1969 (95% HPD: 1930–2000) and 1982 (95% HPD: 1948–2009), indicating that the lineage giving rise to SARS-CoV-2 has been circulating unnoticed in bats for decades.

DEMON SPERM.
Sorry, if a "doctor" has beliefs about what is true or not include that as a subset, I am not going to be taking medical advice from that idiot.
Immanuel is the founder of Fire Power Ministries and host of a radio and television show entitled Fire Power. She is a self-described "wealth transfer coach", and has authored several books as part of her Occupying Force series. She has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, and long-time critic of "unmarried couples living together, homosexuality, bestiality, polygamy" and so-called "homosexual terrorism".[5][8][9]
Immanuel's medical claims are sometimes combined with her spiritual beliefs. She has said that many gynecological illnesses are the result of having sex dreams with succubi and incubi and receiving "demon sperm". She has said that endometriosis, infertility, miscarriages, and sexually transmitted infections are caused by the spirit husbands and spirit wives.[4][10] According to Immanuel, the causes of cysts and endometriosis are individuals having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.[3] She said in a 2015 sermon that space alien DNA is used in medical treatments and that reptilians and aliens run the government. She also stated in 2015 that Illuminati are using witches to destroy the world through abortion, gay marriage, children's toys and media such as Harry Potter, Pokémon, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana. In another 2015 sermon, she said scientists are developing vaccines to stop people from being religious.[4][10]

Even mild coronavirus cases can cause lasting cardiovascular damage
a recent study (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2768916) of
100 recovered coronavirus patients reveals
78 of them now have lasting cardiovascular damage
even though a vast majority of them had mild cases of COVID-19 in the first place.
MRI exams of 100 recovered coronavirus patients.
Twenty-eight of them required oxygen supplementation while fighting the virus, while just two were on ventilators.
But 78 of them still had cardiovascular abnormalities after recovery,
with 60 of them showing "ongoing myocardial inflammation,"
the study shows.
These conditions appeared to be independent of case severity and pre-existing conditions,
But not only is COVID-19's mortality rate not as low as Trump has claimed; this study proves
there are far more consequences of catching coronavirus than just dying of it.

Limitations
Our study has limitations. The findings are not validated for the use in pediatric patients 18 years and younger. They also do not represent patients during acute COVID-19 infection or those who are completely asymptomatic with COVID-19. Several patients within our cohort had new or persistent symptoms, thus increasing the likelihood of positive CMR findings. Outcome data remain outstanding. The imaging sequences used in this study have been well validated, standardized, and locked for the use in multicenter settings. The use of other imaging protocols, sequence parameters, or postprocessing approaches may yield different results

What's the new theory here? The first seasonal theory was that Covid would have trouble transmitting in warmer climates, since in April, countries in northern "green band" latitudes were getting hammered.
https://i.imgur.com/0NuAAS7.png
I was behind this theory and felt confident Covid would recede in the hotter months, giving us a window to prepare our response for the Fall/Winter. But summer came and Covid hasn't receded and is hammering hotter states (I have a theory as to why).
That said, given who this fella retweets, seems like he's implying Covid just has a natural pattern and there's nothing we can do measure wise. Shelter the old (which doesn't work) and reopen!

Fair enough. In any event, my theory as to why Covid is spreading during the summer is because more people are driven indoors into air conditioned environments, and central air systems seem to facilitate spread, especially if you're downwind of the airflow. In the winter months in cold states, people were driven indoors to central heated environments. Same concept. But let's not discount these states reopening too quickly.

Yes, we know 252 didn't actually die "today," and many of those deaths are from earlier in July and some even from June and earlier, but what you fail to understand is that the lag works both ways. As time progresses, more and more deaths will be added that occurred today or this week and converge with the current 7 day trends (7 day trends are more useful than per day numbers). So simply put, if the current 7 day trend is 150, around 150 people probably died today, even though the report says 20 died on 7/30 (expect over 100 deaths to be eventually added to 7/30).
Deaths are calculated as people who died from Covid.

It takes a special kind of stupid to have your political views interfere with the understanding that "deadly disease will kill people"
Like the deadly disease will only kill people when it is convenient for your worldview, or magically not spread because of your worldview.
That is some factless, flawed reasoning, IMO.
Seriously, TSA what did you think was going to happen when states reopened and people stopped taking basic precautions against a communicable disease?
Problem with my dude TSA is he follows bad faith truthers like Justin Hart and Alex Berenson who are constantly spamming misinfo and bad statistics. Example. Here's Hart spiking the football about the lower deaths in July in FL, then the lag caught up.

I didn't accuse you of that, I'm just calling out these bad faith actors who are blatantly being misleading in service of an agenda or brand recognition (Berenson).
I know the "other side" can have an agenda, too, but I still feel that side is acting in better faith. Shutdowns are encouraged not to "hurt the economy and Trump," but because they work and actually will mitigate the economic damage on the back end. Where I do think the "other side" is being a bit irrational is with schools for 10 and under age groups. Europe has shown you can reopen schools with little consequence (so far). But I still feel more study needs to be done on the "long haul" effect of Covid infections. Just because 10 year olds don't wind up in the ICU and don't die as much as they do from the flu, doesn't mean Covid isn't silently doing some kind of damage that could lead to a chronic illness like asthma.

Every quote you posted of mine is meaningless without the context of the conversation. My comment was referring to the inevitable blood bath that was predicted for Florida/Georgia 3 weeks prior. We were at 3 weeks from that claim that day and there was no bloodbath. Within that same conversation I say it's not over for anyone and acknowledge spikes can still occur.
You knew all of this since you obviously went back and found the quotes and were a part of the conversation yet you decided to purposely leave out the other quotes giving it context because you are a pathetic and disingenuous piece of shit.

I felt you endorsed what people like Hart were doing when you posted one of his infographs about the 120 reported deaths in Florida not "being accurate" and just media hype, while Hart was presenting the facts as they were. Your quote:
They are even more dishonest since they have the actual data and are misrepresenting it by omitting the backlog. You are saying Hart is being more dishonest based on speculation into the future.
To reiterate, Hart is being more dishonest, since we can predict with pretty good certainty how the data will catch up. This means when the media reported 120 deaths, it's accurate with regard to where a region is trending, even if the majority of those deaths are backlog at that time. Eventually, that particular date will see deaths within that range. Example FL reported 120 deaths on 7/9, prompting that infograph from Hart saying, "Well, yeah they reported 120 deaths, but how many actually died today." At the time of Hart's post, it was 9 reported deaths on 7/9. See my graph above, and you'll see deaths on 7/9 are now at 101 and counting.
That's all I'm trying to illuminate. The "Team Reality" crowd are very bad faith actors.

No its not. The difference is no one is saying that there aren't more deaths today. The point is you are using the 120 to make to correlations that are incorrect.
1. That the virus is spreading
2. That case increase is increasing fatalities.
Both of these are proven incorrect by using more than one inaccurate raw number stat.

Unless it's some huge backlog dump, like NY dumping some 1000 deaths in June, yes, rising fatalities do correlate with a worsening situation, even if there's some backlog mixed in. This is even more true if hospitalizations are rising. Justin and the truthers fall for this shit every month. "Hey guys, the evil media reported 100 deaths. But what's really going on? Oh, half of those deaths were from a month ago! Nothing to see here." But they don't recognize or intentionally omit that increasing deaths point to a trend. The actuals will tend to "pull up" and converge to the reported over time. See here.

its not really a take. its knowing what socialism is. even medicare for all, as proposed by bernie, isn't really "socialized healthcare" but rather "socialized health insurance." the healthcare industry itself (doctors, hospitals, etc) would remain private under his model. government just takes over the role of insurers and pays for treatment

Why separate ages? Do old people not count?
You can't compare deaths to historical deaths, because environmental and medical conditions change year to year. That's why they project a baseline for deaths. Here's how FL is looking:
9 FL 7400 (6600,8200)
7400 excess deaths.

:lol yeah, let's compare current excess deaths with the death rate in 1930 when they didn't have a polio vaccine. This is what I mean when medical variables can change, even by the year. If we found a cure for cancer tomorrow, you wouldn't compare 2021 excess deaths with 2020's baseline. You "project" based on current variables.
Deaths are counted through a diagnosis of covid via test or doctor's discretion. And if anything, we're UNDERCOUNTING. For every brisket death attributed to Covid, there's 100 more deaths not labeled Covid.

trump party voters tend to skew older.
The people in the Trump party have polled as being less concerned with virus, and take fewer precautions for it spreading. Implying that it will spread much more among Trump party members than Democrats.
I would grimly note that when it gets bad for the elderly, they won't be voting in November. Trump wont the electoral college by 77,000 votes, or less than one percent of total votes cast in three specific states. If every single vote in 2020 mirror 2016, and the death rate is anywhere near that of Italy, attrition alone might reverse the outcome.
Of the more than 92,000 Americans who had died of COVID-19 as of May 20 (the date that the data in this analysis was collected), nearly 75,000 were in Democratic congressional districts.
Of the 44 hardest-hit congressional districts – the top 10% in terms of deaths – 41 are represented by Democrats, while three are represented by Republicans. These include the New York-area districts, as well as those in the Boston, Detroit and New Orleans metropolitan areas. The average death toll in each of these hardest-hit districts was 1,122 as of May 20.
The next 100 hardest-hit districts, which represent the remainder of the top third of districts, with an average of 270 deaths, also are disproportionately represented by Democrats: 75 are represented by Democrats, 25 by Republicans.

You've posted this same shit like 5 times and I've ignored it but for the sake of saving the forum from you spamming it over and over again I'll address it.
Went back in and looked. Didn't leave out any context for your quotes. They were not misleading at all, and accurately reflect your statements.
I never claimed any huge bloodbath was going to happen instantly, you drooling moron.
Further, you warthog-fated bafoon, I said it would take a few weeks to see what the results of reopening were. And, if you go back to the place I first used the word "inevitable" I was actually responding to CC talking about Texas. Which has also happened, you thundering shit-gibbon.

Feel free to find it. You say "context" is missing. If something was left out that really changes it, then you should be able to show that.

Florida and Georgia were supposed to be “inevitable”, what happened?
https://news.yahoo.com/newly-reopened-south-florida-seen-as-emerging-coronavirus-hotspot-223903143.html
Newly reopened South Florida seen as an emerging coronavirus hot spot
WASHINGTON — Federal officials responding to the coronavirus pandemic are concerned about the rapidly rising number of cases in Palm Beach County, Fla., according to an internal Trump administration document reviewed by Yahoo News.
The document, a May 15 daily interagency update on the nation’s coronavirus response circulated by the Department of Homeland Security, notes new areas of concern for coronavirus. It was provided to Yahoo News by one of its recipients under the condition that that recipient not be identified.
“As most states have begun phased re-opening, several COVID-19 hot spots continue to emerge,” the notice says. Three counties are then listed: Palm Beach; San Bernardino County, Calif.; and Marshall County, Ala.
This takes a few weeks to develop. We will not really know the ultimate effects for another couple of weeks.
Happy to be wrong about extent of disease, but the behavior of opening up leads to more infections. This is not difficult to comprehend.
Unless you are an idiot.
[ignores post showing spike in cases, responds to Chris]
:cry muh springbreak death camps :cry
In Florida, 64 of 67 counties entered Phase One on May 4 and the latest coronavirus (COVID-19) data make a strong argument for reopening. Despite large increases in total residents tested, the positivity rates for both the Phase One counties and statewide haven’t exhibited spikes.
Generally speaking, the more testing is conducted, the more positive results can be expected. But that has not occurred in Florida and positivity rates have remained well below the target rate of below 10%.
On May 11, Phase One counties reported the lowest positivity rate to date. There’s a clear downward trend for the percent positive for laboratory testing, which has declined to its lowest rate ever over the last six weeks.
https://www.peoplespunditdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Percent-Positive-for-Lab-Testing-768x483.png
That data can be further supported by comparing the sum of persons testing positive and negative each week. As testing rose nearly two-fold from roughly 66,500 for the week ending April 11 to roughly 118,100 for the week ending May 16, the sum of persons positive actually fell from approximately 7,200 to 5,100.
https://www.peoplespunditdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Sum-of-Persons-Tested-Positive-vs-Negative-768x601.png
Since Phase One was initiated on May 4, intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalizations for patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have declined 21%. Ventilator usage for COVID-19 patients has fallen 32%.
https://www.peoplespunditdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Florida-Resident-Deaths-By-Date-of-Death-Updated-May-18-768x613.png
Resident deaths, which are a lagging indicator, posted their smallest totals per day over the last four days during the April 19 – May 18 period. While often updated and revised, the latest count for May 18 is only 3 deaths, following a revised 17, 15 and 24.
That compares to a peak 58 daily death toll recorded on May 4, the very day 64 of 67 counties in Florida entered Phase One. While criticisms to enter Phase One were many, both the trends and recent data suggest those criticisms were unfounded.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
The Chronicle of Higher Education compiled a database of the fall reopening plans of over 1,000 colleges and universities and found (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/upshot/virus-colleges-harvard-reopening.html) that 60% are “going to open for business and bring all of their students back.” Given how much is still unknown about the virus and especially its long-term effects on those infected, this could be the largest-scale uncontrolled public health experiment America has ever undertaken, with students, staff, faculty, parents, and communities as the unwitting test subjects. No other nation has reopened schools and universities with the level of rampant community transmission we see in the U.S. today, or with so little coordination or guidance as to protective measures.https://time.com/5867395/will-universities-be-next-covid-19-tinderboxes/

Rather than leaving individual universities to piece together their own plans, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education produced a national strategy (https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-2927) for college campuses. The strategy included an initial quarantine, frequent testing of all students, sanitation, masks, distancing, reduction of student density, cleaning of dorms twice daily with bleach, and allowing only one student per dining table. It also included mandatory quarantine for anyone exposed, and infection-number thresholds at which an entire university would shut down. With this huge array of protective measures on campus, Taiwanese universities were able to reopen successfully and see a total (https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-2927) of just seven confirmed university-based cases by June 18, and only four new cases nationwide since then.

Neighborhood buddy tested positive. Probable contact with his infected employee was 10 days ago, the day he sent home from work for being sick. His employee has a mild case, my COVID-19 positive friend is asymptomatic today.
My recent interaction with him was six days ago, social distanced al fresco on a backyard deck, for an hour or two. We were >10' apart the whole time, pretty much. The teledoc said my risk was outside the CDC guidelines, but that I was free to take a test so I did (fully covered by insurance).
130 bucks, you swab yourself in your car in the parking lot outside the clinic while a nurse watches. The rapid test for viral RNA comes back in 15 minutes.
It was negative.
Rate of false negatives for this test is 20% and I can believe it. You twirl a q-tip as far back as you're willing to go in your own nose for fifteen seconds in each nostril.

If you were both wearing masks and socially distanced why waste a test?He wasn't wearing a mask. I did, but intermittently. It was a back yard party. I knew it was risky.
My friend belongs to a neighborhood crew that has been, uh, less than punctilious all spring and summer so far about keeping the number under 10, masking, social distancing, etc. They all hang out with each other, every single weekend. Some of my other friends hang specifically with COVID-19 dude.
My COVID-19 positive buddy was not the only risky person in this crew, IMHO.

Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.
That logic may have swayed Kushner. “It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out,” the expert said.

1289355447078535172It only makes explicit what we knew beforehand, that perceived political expedience trumps everything else.
The strong claim made in the article is that the Shadow Coronavirus Taskforce had a strong national plan that was abandoned, because it was decided the mass death and suffering of COVID-19 would be blamed on Democratic governors instead.

And a 7 day moving average is absolutely a math concept that is valuable when one cannot count deaths from the exact moments they occurred.

COVID-19 linked to heart damage in healthy people, small study suggests
Three quarters of recovered COVID-19 patients had signs of lingering heart damage months after their initial infection.
People who recover from COVID-19 may have lingering heart damage and inflammation months after their initial infection, even if they were not hospitalized
On MRI scans taken more than two months after their diagnosis, about three-quarters of these patients showed signs of heart abnormalities, including inflammation of the heart muscle, or myocarditis.
findings are potentially worrisome because heart inflammation and damage may give rise to heart failure (https://www.livescience.com/65371-erectile-dysfunction-drug-heart-failure.html), a potentially life-threatening condition
Both the researchers and the patients were surprised by the prevalence of these heart abnormalities, and that they were still pronounced weeks after the patients had recovered,
the development of heart failure ... it is quite possible that in a few years this burden will be enormous,"
Overall, 78% of recovered COVID-19 patients showed signs of some type of heart abnormality.
The most common heart problem was inflammation of the heart muscle, or myocarditis, experienced by 60% of patients.
Some patients also showed signs of inflammation of the pericardium, the tissue that surrounds the heart.
participants with a relative paucity of preexisting cardiovascular [conditions] and with mostly home-based recovery had frequent cardiac inflammatory involvement"

these two studies raise worries that the COVID-19 pandemic could spur an increase in cases of heart failure.

Thousands protest against coronavirus measures in Berlin
Demonstrators ignore hygiene rules to rally in German capital.
Thousands of people, packed close together and not wearing face masks, protested in Berlin on Saturday against official measures intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Police said they would file charges against the organizer of the gathering as demonstrators had not followed hygiene rules such as maintaining social distancing or wearing a mask covering nose and mouth.
Some 17,000 people took part in the demonstration at its peak, according to police (https://twitter.com/PolizeiBerlin_E/status/1289543908972584960?s=20).
The gathering was organized with the title "The end of the pandemic — day of freedom." Some demonstrators chanted "the biggest conspiracy theory is the pandemic," according to (https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/panorama/coronavirus-demonstrationen-berlin-100.html) German media reports.
A Stuttgart-based organization called Querdenken 711 — which roughly translates as "thinking outside the box 711" — organized the rally.
The interior minister for the city of Berlin, Andreas Geisel, said on Friday that neo-Nazi organizations had also called for people to participate in the march. German media outlets noted that "Day of Freedom" was also the name of a Nazi propaganda film (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_der_Freiheit:_Unsere_Wehrmacht) documenting the party's 1935 party congress in Nuremberg.

Protesters also "aggressively asked" journalists to remove their masks by protestors, newspaper Der Tagesspiegel reported (https://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/coronaleugner-protestieren-in-berlin-15-000-demonstranten-in-mitte-polizei-prueft-aufloesung-der-versammlung/26054576.html).
